Abstract

RA Cahaya Insani Sukodono faces the problem of a lack of students due to limited funds for promotion and the lack of innovation in school promotion efforts. This study aims to develop the official website of RA Cahaya Insani Sukodono as a more effective medium for disseminating information and promoting the school. In the current digital era, RA Cahaya Insani needs a more efficient way to spread information, as traditional media such as pamphlets and brochures have limitations. Using the SDLC model with a waterfall approach, the development of this website involves several steps, such as requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The resulting website is designed to provide key information such as the school profile, activities, photo gallery, and online registration, while ensuring user-friendly features, an attractive appearance, and simple navigation. It is hoped that this website will enhance the school's image and provide easier access to information for teachers, parents, and the general public, while addressing the challenges in information dissemination and promotion previously faced by the school.

Abstract

E-learning is a learning media that is being used in various universities, although it is not used 100% because some still use face to face. Because it is still new, e-learning needs to be evaluated to make it even better. The purpose of this study is to evaluate e-learning to find out how much the method can be accepted by students. The tool we use to evaluate is the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The results show that students still prefer face-to-face methods rather than e-learning because face-to-face material is more easily absorbed and interactions with lecturers are more interwoven than using e-learning. But e-learning has the advantage of being more flexible than face-to-face, and gathering tasks are easier with e-learning.

Abstract

Online learning is solution that implemented in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since COVID-19 pandemic, the learning process at UMSIDA used 100% online learning with UMSIDA e-learning media. It can accommodate students to carry out distance learning. So far, research has not been carried out readiness of students to take part in online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on this, this research focuses on knowing the readiness of students to take online lectures during the COVID-19 pandemic using discriminant analysis. Based on the results of the analysis of the predictor variable, the strongest differentiator is the flexibility of lecture time (X1) because the variable with the largest coefficient. This means that the variable time flexibility (X1) has the strongest dividing power against online learning readiness during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, it also known that according to the student's perspective, the learning media that makes interaction with lecturers the most easy and the learning media that makes it the most easy to understand the material is using video conferencing (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.). On the other hand, choice of the learning system most chosen by students when the COVID-19 pandemic ends is online system 30% and offline 70%.

Abstract

The learning process is closely related to the interaction between educators and students. In order to facilitate the learning process, educators are required to make learning more innovative in order to be able to encourage students to study hard and be able to follow the learning process well. One of the innovations that can be done in the learning process is innovation in learning media. Learning media is one of the components of learning that has an important role in teaching and learning activities, especially in the transition after the Covid 19 pandemic. The use of smartphones can be one of the innovations of learning media by using Android-based e-modules. This research is development research or called Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE development model (Analyze, Design, development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The Android-based "MBARENGI" Statistics E-Module was validated by material experts, learning media experts, and tested on a limited scale sample. The results of the validation of material experts on the aspect of content material are 91.5% and on the language aspect are 93.2%. The results of media expert validation on the aspect of content quality are 92.3%, on design and audio aspects are 94.4% and the interaction and feedback aspects are 92.3%. In the test results, student responses obtained an average result are 88.8% which stated that the Android-based "MBARENGI" Statistics E-Module was feasible to be used in the learning process.

Abstract

Pneumonia is an acute infectious disease of the respiratory tract and an infection caused by a virus, bacteria or fungus that attacks the lung tissue. Several cases of pneumonia have resulted in deaths that occurred in toddlers aged 12-59 months. Based on official health in profile data, East Java's health in 2021 has a zero number of deaths under five aged 12-59 months due to pneumonia. Modeling data with many response variables is zero and there is overdispersion can be done using Zero Inflated Negative Binomial (ZINB) regression. This study aims to model the number of infant deaths aged 12-59 months due to pneumonia in East Java Province based on seven factors that are considered to influence the number of deaths in infants due to pneumonia. From this model, it can be seen that the factors that significantly influence the death of infants aged 12-59 months due to pneumonia in East Java Province using Zero Inflated Negative Binomial (ZINB) regression. The results of testing the parameters of the ZINB regression model show that the predictor variables that have a partial significant effect on the negative binomial model in East Java are the percentage of infants who received complete basic immunization, the percentage of coverage of under-five health services, the percentage of under-five children with malnutrition, the percentage of LBW (low birth weight babies). Selection of the best model is obtained by using the Bayesian Information Criterion (BIC) of 101,587.

Abstract

Video surveillance technology, such as CCTV, is increasingly common in various applications, including public safety and business surveillance. Analyzing and comparing images from CCTV systems is essential for ensuring safety and security. This research implements the Pearson Correlation method in Python to measure the similarity of CCTV images. Pearson Correlation, which assesses the linear relationship between two variables, is employed to compare the pixel values of two images, resulting in a coefficient that indicates the degree of similarity. We used a quantitative approach with experiments on two scenarios to test the program's effectiveness in measuring image similarity. The results demonstrate that Pearson Correlation is highly effective in distinguishing between identical and other images, providing a more accurate and comprehensive assessment of image similarity compared to histogram analysis. However, the findings are constrained by the specific scenarios and dataset utilized. Further research with more diverse empirical data is required to generalize these results across a broader range of CCTV conditions.

Abstract

At Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang in 2024 SEM-PLS training will develop data analysis capabilities for lecturers and students to enhance their work on quality scientific publications. The Department of Mathematics at Faculty of Science and Technology conducted the session on May 21, 2024, where 40 people participated. Training and mentoring stands as the service method which features instruction about SEM-PLS theory alongside practical utilization of SmartPLS software for implementation. Observation activities together with documentation assessment and satisfaction questionnaire responses determine the program's outcome. Participant satisfaction reached an exceptional level because they showed positive feedback about the material presented. Time constraints together with a constrained space area negatively affected  this event. This training achieved success in providing extensive SEM-PLS understanding to students and lecturers. The activity builds campus research capacity. The organization of similar consecutive training courses is highly suggested because it will boost academic knowledge in data analysis fields.
