Abstract

This study investigates the adoption of Hospital Information Systems (HIS) through an extended Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), uniquely positioning user satisfaction as a mediator within a mandatory clinical setting. While traditional models emphasize satisfaction as a prerequisite for success, this research reveals a paradoxical shift at RSU Dr. Suyudi, where HIS usage is compulsory. Analyzing data through PLS-SEM, the results demonstrate that User Satisfaction plays a non-significant role in bridging system perceptions and actual usage behavior. Instead, the structural path is heavily dominated by Subjective Norms and Professional Image, which significantly drive Perceived Usefulness. Furthermore, the influence of Perceived Ease of Use and Subjective Norms on Usage Behavior remains robust. These findings indicate that in the hospital setting, professional norms and system simplicity carry much more weight than individual affective satisfaction. Theoretically, this study challenges the necessity of the satisfaction construct in mandatory digital health frameworks. Managerially, hospital administrators should pivot from superficial satisfaction metrics toward strengthening digital work cultures and streamlining user interfaces. By prioritizing professional prestige and operational ease, organizations can ensure more effective system integration in high-stakes clinical environments.

Abstract

Abstract

The proliferation of mobile-based learning apps on the Google Play Store has been facilitated by the advancement of information technology. However, the level of optimal use is still a challenge with several problems related to: 1) Perceived Ease of Use (PEU), 2) Perceived Usefulness (PU), 3) Behavioral Intention (BI), 4) Use Behavior (UB). Therefore, this study aims to analyze the factors that influence the acceptance (UB) of mobile-based learning applications using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). This model uses the variables PEU, PU, BI, and UB. Data were collected through an online questionnaire with 107 respondents and analyzed using SEM-PLS. The results showed that PEU had a significant effect on PU (62.8%), but did not directly affect BI and UB. PU had a significant effect on BI (50.3%) and did not directly affect UB. While BI had a significant effect on UB (44.9%). This finding confirms that ease of use of an application (PEU) must go through usefulness (PU) to be able to influence user intention (BI), then BI influences UB or in other words BI mediation plays a very important role in bridging the influence of initial perceptions on actual use. The implications of this study can help developers of mobile-based learning applications to increase user engagement so that the application can be accepted and used by users.

Abstract

Restaurant X faces the challenge of low self-ordering application adoption compared to third-party platforms, despite implementing an omnichannel strategy. This study aims to evaluate the success of the application's adoption using the DeLone & McLean model. A quantitative method was employed, involving 115 respondents, and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS). The model examines the impact of system quality, information quality, and service quality on use, user satisfaction, and perceived usefulness. The results indicate that information quality and system quality significantly influence both use and user satisfaction (p < 0.05). Conversely, service quality has no significant effect (p > 0.05), suggesting that users prioritize technical stability and data accuracy over personal service support within the self-owned application context. Use and satisfaction were found to significantly enhance perceived usefulness. Predictive Relevance (Q2) values ranging from 0.616 to 0.667 confirm the model's solid predictive power. The study concludes that the application's success depends heavily on technical reliability and product information accuracy. Management is advised to prioritize system stability and real-time data updates to improve the application's competitiveness against rival platforms.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of online ride-hailing services has transformed urban mobility; however, sustaining user engagement remains a major challenge due to the interplay of psychological and technical factors. Despite widespread adoption, the determinants influencing users’ continued use of such applications remain inconsistent and not fully understood. Therefore, this study examines the effects of Customer Satisfaction (CS), Social Influence (SI), and Facilitating Conditions (FC) on Use Behavior (UB) of online transportation applications, with Behavioral Intention (BI) as a mediating variable. The research was conducted in Surabaya with 150 active users of online ride-hailing services, and data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings indicate that FC significantly affects both BI and UB, while CS and SI have significant positive effects on BI but not directly on UB. Moreover, BI is identified as the strongest predictor of UB and acts as a significant mediator in the relationships CS → BI → UB, SI → BI → UB, and FC → BI → UB. These results highlight the central role of intention in linking psychological and technical factors to actual use behavior. The study suggests that service providers enhance customer satisfaction, utilize social influence, and strengthen facilitating conditions to sustain user engagement.
