Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the differences of chemical quality of fresh maggot flour processed by using sangrai method. Currently maggot flour is popular among breeders because it contents high enough protein and has potential as a substitution of fish meal which has been imported at in very costly price. This research is conducted experimental methods on April 2021. The research consists of making maggot flour and continued to chemical analysis (proximate). Maggot which is processed into flour is obtained from maggot breeders in Blitar district. Maggot is processed by using sangrai method is carried out in Dayu Village, Nglegok District, Blitar Regency. Proximate analysis is carried out at the Nutrition and Animal Feed Laboratory of the Fisheries and Livestock Service Office of Blitar Regency. The sangrai method processing produces lower moisture content (5.69%) so that it is predicted to have a better shelf life. The rough protein is 28.73%, the rough fat content is 15.79%, and the rough fiber content is 10.60%. The results are considering higher. The maggot processed by using sangrai method can be applied, but it needs to be accompanied by further researches to reduce the higher rough fat and rough fiber content, one of them is fermentation.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the improvement of the carcass quality of broiler ducks with the addition of meniran extract as a feed additive. This is based on the fluctuating price of feed 70 – 80% is part of the operational costs and the prohibition on the use of antibiotics requires alternative feed additives that are safe for human consumption. This research was carried out in Juni – August 2021 in Dayu Village, Nglegok District Blitar Regency. The method used is experimental with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The design used is Completely Randomized Design. The result showed that giving meniran extract as a feed additive could improve the carcass quality of broiler duck including carcass weight and carcass percentage and dit not have a significant effect on slaughter weight. It is recommended to use meniran plan extract level 3% to improve the carcass quality of broiler ducks.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of chicken age and type of cage on the hen house, feed efficiency, mortality and livability of laying hens. This research is an experimental study using 20000 laying hens. This study used a 2x5 factorial completely randomized design (CRD). The two factors were the age of the chickens (U) (30, 50 and 70 weeks) and the type of cage (K) (open house and close house). Based on the results of statistical analysis, it was found that the cage type had a very significant effect (p<0.01) on hen hpuse, feed efficiency, mortality and livability. Chicken age had a very significant effect (p<0.01) on hen house, feed efficiency and livability and significantly (p<0.05) on mortality. The interaction between the two has a very significant effect (p<0.01) on hen house, feed efficiency, mortality and livability. The average hen house obtained in this study ranged from 74.33-89.43%; feed efficiency 61.78-75.95%; mortality 0.01-0.35% and livability 81.83-98.33%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the interaction between laying hens age and cage type is closely related to hen house value, feed efficiency, mortality and livability. The best results were obtained from the interaction of chickens aged 30 weeks in a close house cage

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the impact of Covid-19 on the feasibility of laying hens in Sumberjo Village. This research was conducted using a descriptive quantitative approach. Quantitative approach is research that uses data in the form of numbers. The description is carried out from the results of statistical analysis of the data collected during the study. Respondents in this study were determined by purposive sampling on laying hens in Sumberjo Village. The number of respondents used in this study was calculated by the slovin formula. Data collection in this study was carried out through observation and surveys using questionnaires. The results showed that the total cost of each 5000 laying hens was Rp. 120.5600.00/month; total revenue of Rp. 109,411,764.71/month; income of Rp. -11,148,235.29 and the R/C value is 0.91. The results of this study narrowed down to one conclusion that the Covid-19 pandemic had an impact on the low feasibility of producing chicken business.

Abstract

In carrying out the stages of holding the 2024 General Election, KPU uses digital application systems. The purpose of this research is to describe and analyze the strengths and weaknesses of implementing the digital application systems. Researchers studied primary data of general election laws and KPU regulations, and secondary data of some books and relevant electoral journal articles. They also explored empirical data from the Commissioners of KPU of Kediri Regency. In analyzing the data, researchers used Miles and Hubberman's theory. The results of this study show that the eight digital application systems used by KPU, namely: Sipol, Sidalih, Silon, Sidapil, Sidakam, Sirekap, Silog, and Siakba make a very large contribution to every stage of the 2024 General Election so that they become more effective, efficient, transparent, accurate, and up to date. Common weaknesses occur when data transmission is carried out simultaneously at one time, it has possibility problem for data traffic because the size of the server may not sufficient; second, the internet network is not evenly distributed throughout Indonesia; and third; not all of the human resources for general election organizers at the lower levels are capable of operating the digital system properly. To improve the quality and to get the maximum results of election, general election organizers need to anticipate closing the gaps in digital application system deficiencies in holding the 2024 general election in Indonesia.
