Abstract

This study aimed to conduct a meta-analysis of the application of Knisley's mathematical learning model and its impact on students' mathematics abilities. Research begins with formulating a research problem tracking the research results that are relevant for analysis. The data was collected by browsing the electronic journals through Google Scholar, a Garuda portal with the keywords "Knisley mathematical learning model" and "Mathematical ability". From the search, I obtained 86 articles, but relevant only 12 articles from journals that entered the inclusion criteria to be analyzed with the site meta-mar to obtain a large combination effect size. From the interpretation of the measurement of this combined effect, the overall application of the Knisley Model has a strong influence on the student's mathematical abilities. Characteristics of the study were researched in terms of education and years of research. From statistics, if the application of the Knisley Model to improve the ability of the student's mathematical reasoning is influenced by the level of education and years of research

Abstract

Describing SAVI Model Users in Mathematics Learning. Through Sinta Kemdikbud, the researcher obtained 40 journal articles discussing the users of the SAVI model in learning mathematics, so it is necessary to analyze the collection of studies to find out how many users of the Somatic, Auditory, Visual, Intellectual model using a meta-analysis research design. From the results of the entire article the researchers got, there were 11 articles that met the inclusion criteria to be analyzed using the online meta-mar website, which is a free online meta-analysis service that was developed as an additional tool to perform meta-analysis in order to obtain a large combined effect size. Based on the interpretation of the combined effect size, it can be concluded that overall the users of the SAVI learning model have a strong and significant influence on mathematics learning with the dependent variable compared to the implementation of the Conventional Learning Model. The characteristics of the study analyzed include the year of research, sample size and dependent variable. Statistically, it was found that the application of the SAVI Learning Model (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, Intellectual) users in learning mathematics was not influenced by the year of research and the dependent variable.

Abstract

Learning carried out with virtual classes during the COVID-19 pandemic is important for evaluation so that in the future the gradual process towards normal learning conditions can take place properly and according to learning objectives. This study aims to describe the germane load as seen from the interest in learning and the initial mathematical ability of high school students in a virtual classroom. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Cikande using a descriptive qualitative approach involving 7 students from 31 students of class XI IPA as research subjects who were selected by seeing the result of learning interest on virtual class and early ability of mathematics. Data collection was obtained from the results of interest in learning questionnaires, end of semester assessment results, math problem solving tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that students with different learning interests and initial abilities had different germane loads as indicated by their mental effort and problem solving results.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Mathematical conceptual understanding is a fundamental competency in mathematics education; however, the effectiveness of various instructional models in fostering this ability continues to yield mixed findings. At the same time, studies specifically mapping the relationship between the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model and mathematical conceptual understanding remain limited. This situation prompted a systematic review to provide a more comprehensive picture of research trends, implementation characteristics, and the contribution of TGT to strengthening students’ conceptual understanding. The review employed a Systematic Literature Review approach by examining articles indexed in Google Scholar published between 2022 and 2025 using keywords related to TGT and mathematical conceptual understanding. The selection process followed the PRISMA framework and resulted in 24 articles that met the inclusion criteria, which were subsequently analyzed through content analysis and thematic synthesis. The findings indicate that TGT is consistently associated with improved conceptual understanding through collaborative learning activities, academic games, tournaments, active student participation, and the use of supporting instructional media. Its effectiveness tends to be greater when conceptual indicators are clearly defined and learning activities are aligned with the characteristics of the subject matter. Research publications were most prevalent in 2023, predominantly conducted at the elementary school level and frequently focused on number-related topics. These findings suggest that TGT is a highly relevant instructional strategy for promoting interactive and collaborative mathematics learning while highlighting opportunities for further investigation in more abstract mathematical topics and higher educational levels. ABSTRAK Pemahaman konsep matematis merupakan salah satu kompetensi penting dalam pembelajaran matematika, namun efektivitas berbagai model pembelajaran dalam mendukung kemampuan tersebut masih menunjukkan temuan yang beragam. Di sisi lain, kajian yang secara khusus memetakan hubungan antara model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) dan pemahaman konsep matematis masih terbatas. Kondisi ini mendorong dilakukannya kajian sistematis untuk memperoleh gambaran yang lebih utuh mengenai kecenderungan penelitian, karakteristik penerapan, serta kontribusi TGT terhadap penguatan pemahaman konsep matematis. Kajian dilakukan melalui pendekatan Systematic Literature Review dengan menelusuri artikel yang terindeks Google Scholar pada periode 2022–2025 menggunakan kata kunci yang berkaitan dengan TGT dan pemahaman konsep matematis. Proses seleksi mengikuti alur PRISMA dan menghasilkan 24 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan content analysis dan sintesis tematik. Pola temuan menunjukkan bahwa TGT secara konsisten dikaitkan dengan peningkatan kualitas pemahaman konsep melalui aktivitas kolaboratif, permainan akademik, turnamen, partisipasi aktif siswa, serta pemanfaatan media pendukung pembelajaran. Efektivitas tersebut cenderung lebih optimal ketika indikator konsep dirancang secara jelas dan aktivitas belajar disesuaikan dengan karakteristik materi. Publikasi penelitian paling banyak ditemukan pada tahun 2023, didominasi oleh jenjang Sekolah Dasar, serta banyak diterapkan pada materi bilangan. Temuan ini memperlihatkan bahwa TGT memiliki relevansi yang kuat sebagai strategi pembelajaran matematika yang interaktif dan kolaboratif, sekaligus membuka peluang pengembangan kajian pada materi yang lebih abstrak dan jenjang pendidikan yang lebih tinggi.
