Abstract

Midwives as one of the oldest professions in the world have a very important and strategic role in reducing Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR). Midwives must have clinical competence (midwifery skills), one of which is pregnancy examination. Clinical competence is obtained from clinical learning. Good clinical learning is one that is planned, one of which is using a learning contract. The purpose of the study was to determine the readiness of students who use learning contracts to carry out pregnancy tests in the third trimester. The research design is descriptive. The research sample is all fourth semester students of the Midwifery Study Program who have practiced in the Practical Field in 2019. The number of samples is 80 people. The sampling method is total sampling. The instrument used is an open ended question. Data analysis is univariate. Frequency distribution. The results are 87% optimal physical readiness, maximum 7.2%, 1.4% less. Emotional readiness 65.2% optimal, 10.1% maximum. Knowledge readiness 87% optimal, 11.6% maximum. In conclusion, more than half of practicing contract users learn that they have optimal readiness. The best readiness is the readiness of knowledge

Abstract

Background: Preschool is children have not entered formal education. The incidence of growth and development disorders in children under five is still high, especially motor development disorders. One of the factors influence the development of children is lack of stimulation. The purpose of this study was to analyze the improvement of fine motor development in preschool children with the origami folding art method. Methods: Research Design is a quasi-experimental. Non-equivalent control group. This study was conducted at Dharma Wanita 1 Kindergarten Palembang in January – March 2019. The samples were all students in Dharma Wanita 1 Kindergarten Palembang, aged 5-6 years. The number of samples is 36 respondents. 18 children in the control group and 18 in the origami group. uses the Developmental Pre-Screening Questionnaire (KPSP )Instrument. Used the Chi-Square test. Results: 18 people (100%) who received origami treatment there were 16 people who matched (88.9%). P value = 0.438 there is no difference in fine motor development. With an OR value of 0.438, the control group will be at risk of experiencing doubtful 0.438 times to the group that gets stimulated by folding origami. Conclusion: There is an increase in fine motor skills in children who receive fine motor stimulation.

Abstract

Physiological changes during pregnancy such as increased abdominal pressure and progesterone levels can make women more susceptible to urinary incontinence. As a result, more than half of women suffer from urinary incontinence during pregnancy and peaks in the third trimester. Urinary incontinence during pregnancy is a strong predictor of urinary incontinence postpartum and later in life. To prevent urinary incontinence during pregnancy, it is recommended to do pelvic floor muscle exercises (kegel exercises). In addition, the physical changes of pregnant women can also interfere with their physical and mental health so that their emotions are unstable. One of the ways that pregnant women can reduce their anxiety level is the relaxation method or self-hypnosis. Relaxation is a method that is considered quite effective for reducing muscle tension and anxiety. One of them is through audio hypnobirthing. This research was conducted to get a clearer picture of the application of the Kegel exercise method and self-hypnosis through audio hypnobirthing as an effort to reduce urinary incontinence and the resulting anxiety. This case study uses a descriptive observational method with a Continuity Of Care approach during pregnancy at Ny. N at PMB Zuniawati on 07 October 2022 to 22 October 2022. Mrs. N, who previously complained of anxiety about her pregnancy and fetus due to urinary incontinence, after being given midwifery care that was integrated with kegel exercises and self-hypnosis through audio hypnobirthing, was finally able to reduce her anxiety and expedite the delivery process

Abstract

Detection of risk factors in pregnant women both by health workers and the community is one of the important efforts in preventing maternal death and morbidity The ability of pregnant women to find out whether they are at high risk or not is very helpful in early detection so that treatment can be carried out quickly and appropriately. However, the ability of pregnant women is often an obstacle in knowing whether she has a high risk or not. Method Descriptif Design, 30 Samples, analyze distribution frequency. Result shows the attitude of mothers regarding early detection of complications in pregnancy. About 11 people (36.7%) want to be able to detect pregnancy complications themselves. About 15 people (50%) want their family to be able to detect pregnancy complications. About 17 people (56.7%) want to know where to get their pregnancy care according to the condition of their pregnancy. 53.3% (16 people) want to know where to give birth. About 46.7% agreed and 46.7% strongly agreed to know if my condition included caution, danger and low risk. Future Research to Study What Dominant Factor to early detection Complication Pregnant Women.

Abstract

One way to diagnose retained placenta is by palpating the uterus to confirm uterine involution. Midwives must have these competencies. One effort to improve student competency is the availability of complete facilities and infrastructure. Currently, the phantom used does not describe in detail the process of uterine involution according to postpartum physiology. Detailed and detailed phantoms are very expensive. This research aims to develop a burtas (paper pulp) uterus involution phantom. It is a phantom covering several parts: the pelvis, abdomen, uterus, and external genitalia. The research was done in the laboratory of the Midwifery Department, Health Polytechnic, Ministry of Health, Palembang, June-October 2023. Research Subjects were DIII Midwifery Study Program students by purposive sampling in small groups of ten people and large groups of 20 people. This research uses a development research design known as Research and Development (R&D). Research and development aim to develop an existing product that can be tested for feasibility and effectiveness. The stages are potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product trials, product revisions, usage trials, product revisions, and production. The burtas uterine involution phantom feasibility test results were declared very feasible by media experts with a score of 100%. Material expert with a score of 100%, Students 88.03%. The developed uterine involution phantom can be used as a phantom or alternative teaching aid for examining uterine involution in midwifery and breastfeeding care practicums.
