Abstract

The demands of professional teachers to design technology-assisted learning that can facilitate all students to develop their potential. the fact that the quality of students' adaptive reasoning in solving math problems is still low which has an impact on other mathematical competencies. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in the improvement of adaptive reasoning abilities between students who have implemented Search Solving Create and Share learning assisted with Microsoft Mathematics and conventional learning. The method used is quasi-experimental with the non-equivalent pre-test and post-test control group design. Through the Simple Random Sampling technique, two classes were selected, namely class X1 and X2 one of the SMA in Bandung Indonesia. Test instrument: story questions about adaptive reasoning abilities. Analysis using independent T-test data. Result: There is a difference in the improvement in adaptive reasoning abilities between students who using search-solve-create- share learning assisted by Microsoft mathematics compared to conventional learning. Students' difficulties in solving story problems with adaptive reasoning abilities can be minimized by getting used to solving non-routine story problems. Learning search-solve-create-share assisted by Microsoft mathematics accustoms students to convey assumptions, provide reasons for answers, draw conclusions from statements, and students can find patterns of various mathematical problems through multi-interactive media.

Abstract

Pandemi covid-19 menimpa seluruh dunia dan memberikan dampak diseluruh sektor kehidupan, khususnya sektor pendidikan. Pada saat pandemi ini peneliti melakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemahaan matematis siswa pada materi trigonometri. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah 30 orang siswa pada kelas XI disalah satu SMA Negeri Kabupaten Bandung. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh persentase ketercapaian dari keempat indikator kemampuan pemahaman matematis memperoleh hasil dibawah 50%, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman matematis pada materi trigonometri dimasa pandemi covid-19 ini masih rendah dan masih perlu ditingkatkan lagi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengembangan modul materi Turunan dan Integral ditinjau dari tingkat validitas, kepraktisan, efektivitas modul sebagai penunjang perkuliahan mahasiswa prodi Pendidikan Matematika yang dinilai oleh ahli materi dan ahli media serta perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis antara kelas yang menggunakan modul Turunan dan Integral dengan kelas yang tidak menggunakan modul Turunan dan Integral. Pengembangan modul Turunan dan Integral yang diperuntukkan untuk mahasiswa prodi Pendidikan Matematika dilakukan melalui beberapa tahap dalam model Research and Development (RnD) yang meliputi research and information collecting, planning, develop preliminary form of product, preliminary field testing, main product revision, main field testing, operational product revision, operational field testing, final product revision, dissemination and implementation. Hasil pengembangan modul Turunan dan Integral menunjukkan valid, praktis dan efektif sehingga layak digunakan pada pembelajaran Kalkulus.  The purpose of this study was determine the development of the Derivative and Integral material module in terms of the level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the module as a lecture support for students of the Mathematics Education study program assessed by material experts and media experts as well as differences in increasing mathematical problem solving abilities between classes using module Derivatives and Integrals with classes that do not use the Derivatives and Integral modules. The development of the Derivative and Integral module which is intended for students of the Mathematics Education study program is carried out through several stages in the Research and Development (RnD) model which includes research and information collecting, planning, develop preliminary form of product, preliminary field testing, main product revision, main field testing, operational product revision, operational field testing, final product revision, dissemination and implementation. The results of the development of the Derivative and Integral module show that this module is valid, practical and effective so that it is suitable for use in Calculus learning.

Abstract

ABSTRACTGarbage is the main problem faced by the people in Telarsari Village today. The garbage management system is not good and the absence of a garbage disposal site causes the habits of the people in Telarsari Village in handling garbage to be carried out by piling garbage in one place so that it can have a negative impact on the environment directly or indirectly on the health of the local community. This articel aims to examine how the solidarity of the Telarsari Village community in handling garbage and the SDGs target in 2030. The method used is through the stages of KKN DR Sisdamas carried out by LP2M UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung and also descriptive methods by conducting observations, discussions, interviews and questions and answers. The results of dedication show that people are starting to realize the importance of protecting the surrounding environment and not littering.Keywords: Mechanical Solidarity, garbage, SDGsABSTRAKSampah merupakan masalah utama yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat di Desa Telarsari saat ini. Sistem pengelola sampah yang kurang baik dan tidak adanya penyediaan tempat pembuangan sampah menyebabkan kebiasaan masyarakat yang ada di Desa Telarsari dalam penanganan sampah dilakukan dengan cara menumpukkan sampah di suatu tempat sehingga dapat menimbulkan dampak negatif bagi lingkungan secara langsung maupun secara tidak langsung terhadap kesehatan masyarakat setempat. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana solidaritas masyarakat Desa Telarsari dalam menangani sampah dan target SDGs pada tahun 2030. Metode yang digunakan yaitu dengan melalui tahapan pada KKN DR Sisdamas yang diusung oleh LP2M UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung dan juga metode deskriptif dengan melakukan observasi, diskusi, wawancara serta tanya jawab. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat mulai sadar akan pentingnya menjaga lingkungan sekitar dan tidak membuang sampah sembarangan.Kata Kunci: Solidaritas Mekanik, sampah, SDGs

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe curriculum used in education today is the 2013 curriculum. The emphasis of assessment within the 2013 curriculum is authentic assessment. Summative assessment and formative assessment are part of the authentic assessment. Summative assessment has been widely applied by teachers but it is still rare for teachers to apply formative assessments. In formative assessment, the teacher assesses during the learning process and the teacher still has difficulty in doing assessment during the learning process. To find alternative solutions then held training on formative assessment such as assessment by using Assessment for Learning. The purpose of community service is to provide insight to teachers about Assessment for Learning (AfL) that can be developed and utilized in accordance with the competence to be achieved. Target community in dedication to this community is the teachers MTs Negeri 2 Bandung, amounting to 50 people. This activity was held on October 19, 2016, which was held in the hall of MTs Negeri 2 Bandung City, teacher assistance implemented AfL 1 on October 25, 2016 in class VIII B and VIII G, while teacher assistance implemented AfL 2 on October 26, 2016 in class VIII B and VIII F. From the evaluation results obtained the results of activities of service to these communities such as increasing the knowledge of teachers in conducting formative assessment by Assessment for Learning. With the holding of teacher assistance in the classroom then the teacher will understand the application of Assessment for Learning in the learning process. This devotion works smoothly because of the support from various parties and the participation of participants who are quite enthusiastic and actively participate in this training. These devotional activities should be performed on broader goals and can be developed with other assessments. Thus, it is hoped that in the future they will be able to assist teachers in developing the assessment especially formative assessment in the learning process.Keywords: assessment, formative assessment, Assessment for Learning (AfL) ABSTRAKKurikulum yang digunakan dalam pendidikan sekarang ini adalah kurikulum 2013. Penekanan penilaian di dalam kurikulum 2013 adalah penilaian autentik. Penilaian sumatif dan penilaian formatif merupakan bagian dari penilaian autentik. Penilaian sumatif sudah banyak diterapkan oleh guru tetapi masih jarang guru yang menerapkan penilaian formatif. Di dalam penilaian formatif, guru melakukan penilaian selama proses pembelajaran dan guru masih kesulitan dalam melakukan assessment selama proses pembelajaran. Untuk mencari alternatif solusinya maka diadakan pelatihan tentang penilaian formatif seperti penilaian dengan menggunakan Assessment for Learning. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah memberikan wawasan kepada guru-guru tentang Assessment for Learning (AfL) yang dapat dikembangkan dan dimanfaatkan sesuai dengan kompetensi yang ingin dicapai. Sasaran masyarakat dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah guru-guru MTs Negeri 2 Kota Bandung yang berjumlah 50 orang. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 19 Oktober 2016 yang bertempat di aula MTs Negeri 2 Kota Bandung, pendampingan guru menerapkan AfL 1 pada tanggal 25 Oktober 2016 di kelas VIII B dan VIII G, sedangkan pendampingan guru menerapkan AfL 2 pada tanggal 26 Oktober 2016 di kelas VIII B dan VIII F. Dari hasil evaluasi diperoleh hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini diantaranya adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan guru dalam melakukan penilaian formatif secara Assessment for Learning. Dengan diadakannya pendampingan guru di kelas maka guru akan memahami penerapan Assessment for Learning dalam proses pembelajaran. Kegiatan pengabdian ini berjalan lancar karena mendapatkan dukungan dari berbagai pihak serta partisipasi peserta yang cukup antusias dan berpartisipasi aktif dalam pelatihan ini. Kegiatan pengabdian ini hendaknya dilakukan pada sasaran yang lebih luas dan dapat dikembangkan dengan assessment yang lain. Dengan demikian, diharapkan kelak dapat membantu guru-guru dalam mengembangkan penilaian khusunya penilaian formatif dalam proses pembelajaran.Kata Kunci: penilaian, penilaian formatif, Assessment for Learning (AfL)

Abstract

Natural Numbers is one of many Mathematics subjects given in elementary school. One of material that is learned in Natural Numbers is the Numerical Count Operations, Lack of use of teaching aid by the teacher to explain the material Operations to Calculate Natural Numbers makes students not really get what is taught. Therefore, one of the solutions is to conduct training on teaching aidsequilibrium. The purpose of this training is to introduce the concept of equilibrium uses the teaching aid of the scales in the operation of calculating natural numbers in mathematics as it ison equilibrium material in science lessons. This Community service activity use straining methods. It is a training using the teaching aid. This community service that is based on training aimed to grade IIIA and IIB students at MI At Taqwa Rancaekek, Bandung Regency. This activity was done July 31, 2019. On this activity most students already understood the operation of natural numbers is addition, subtraction, multiplication, and equilibrium by using scales. While mistakes that many students did was when students tried the teaching aid, they hung on the beam's position wrong either the right arm or the left armKeywords: teaching aid, scales, natural numbers, equilibrium ABSTRAKBilangan Asli merupakan salah satu materi mata pelajaran Matematika yang diberikan di SD. Salah satu yang dipelajari pada Bilangan Asli adalah Operasi Hitung Bilangan Asli. Kurangnya penggunaan alat peraga untuk menjelaskan materi Operasi Hitung Bilangan Asli membuat siswa mengalami kebingungan. Oleh karena itu, salah satu solusinya adalah mengadakan pelatihan tentang alat peraga timbangan. Tujuan diadakannya pelatihan ini adalah mengenalkan konsep kesetimbangan dengan menggunakan alat peraga timbangan pada operasi hitung bilangan asli di pelajaran matematika sekaligus pada materi kesetimbangan di pelajaran IPA. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menggunakan metode pelatihan. Pelatihan yang dimaksud adalah pelatihan dengan menggunakan alat peraga timbangan. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat berbasis pelatihan ini ditujukan kepada siswa kelas IIIA dan IIIB MI At Taqwa Rancaekek, Kabupaten Bandung. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 31 Juli 2019. Pada kegiatan ini, sebagian besar siswa sudah memahami operasi bilangan asli yaitu penjumlahan, pengurangan, perkalian, dan kesetimbangan dengan menggunakan alat peraga timbangan. Sedangkan kesalahan atau kekeliruan yang banyak dilakukan siswa adalah pada saat siswa mencoba alat peraga timbangan yaitu kesalahan siswa dalam menggantungkan posisi balok baik di lengan kanan atau lengan kiri.Kata Kunci: alat peraga, timbangan, bilangan asli, kesetimbangan

Abstract

Mathematics anxiety is one of the problems with online mathematics learning. Mathematics anxiety is affected by both the student and the outside factors. Developing symptoms of mathematical anxiety in students is highly concerning because it can result in inadequate online mathematics learning. The purpose of this study was to describe mathematical anxiety in online mathematics learning. The method used by researchers is the approach to literature studies. Besides the results of previous studies regarding mathematics anxiety in online mathematics learning, it can be known that mathematical anxiety affects the results and achievement of learning mathematics and affects student's mathematical abilities. So that teachers and parents need to have knowledge about the symptoms of mathematical anxiety in order to have strategies for overcoming and minimizing mathematical anxiety experienced by students.

Abstract

The researcher compiled this article with the aim of explaining the talking stick method in mathematics learning. The researcher chose the literature study method to compile this article. Researchers look for several sources that have been published by previous researchers, regarding the talking stick method in learning mathematics. The researcher used sources obtained from Google Scholars with a range of publication years between 2018-2022. After the sources were collected, the researcher summarized several parts that were included in this article. The result of this research is the talking stick method is a method that can can help teachers to achieve a learning goal. The talking stick method has the advantage of improving students’ abilities in various ways

Abstract

Mathematics is a subject that has an important position in the learning system at the elementary school to high school level, this is because in real life every day, consciously or unconsciously, it definitely requires the role of mathematics. Based on the above, the author intends to suggest another side that is useful in studying mathematics, especially those related to students' mathematical problem solving abilities in terms of the benefits of self-confidence. The purpose of this study was to analyze the benefits of students' self confidence on mathematical problem solving abilities. The benefits of this self-confidence need to be revealed and known by the various parties involved so that learning mathematics is more enjoyable and can arouse students' motivation to study harder with optimal results. The method used in this research is literature study. With this method the authors search, read, record, and analyze research articles related to titles published in accredited journals, with the help of Google Scholar by including the keywords "mathematical problem solving" and "self confidence". The conclusion from the results of this study is that self-confidence has significant benefits on mathematical problem-solving abilities

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine the positive impacts that may be present in the use of teaching aids in the students' mathematics learning process. Literature study is the method used in this research. The data collection is done by accommodating information that is in line with the subject being discussed, then the information that has been collected will strengthen the argument from the results of research carried out with a system of reading, citing and managing research materials. The information used comes from journals, scientific articles, and books. All the information cited shows positive results from the data collected and sequentially investigated on the positive impact of teaching aids. The results of this study include: 1. The learning outcomes of students who learn to use teaching aids are superior to those who do not, 2. The learning interest of students who use teaching aids in learning mathematics is more enthusiastic than students who learn to use the usual method, 3. Understanding of students' mathematical concepts those who learn to use teaching aids are higher than students who learn to use the usual method
