Abstract

Agricultural land conversion is considered as one of an important issus in the developing areas. In spite of theimportance of informations on the quantity and the rate of land conversion as the basis of formulating the agricultural landconversion policy, those informations are limited. This research was conducted at Lembang and Parongpong Sub-District,Bandung District. The objectives of research are to identify the rate of agricultural land conversion and to measure thedynamic change of land use. Land use in 1992 and 2002 was evaluated by interpretating the result of 1992 and 2002 landsatimage using Geographic Information System (GIS) program. Shift Share analysis was conducted to know the dynamic changeof land use. Results of the study indicated that land conversion at Lembang and Parongpong Sub-District during the period of1992-2002 (ten years) about 3,134.49 ha (25%) or 313.5 ha (2,96%) per year. Forestland reduced the most, from 5,470 ha in 1992 to 1,746 ha in 2002 or reduced about 3,732.12 ha (68%) in ten years. While area of the bush was increased about2,780.20 ha (1,326%) during the same period, from 210 ha in 1992 to 2,990 ha in 2002. Low land was decreasedfrom 252 hain 1992 to 95 ha in 2002, up land was decreased from 3,856 ha in 1992 to 2,736 ha in 2002, mix farming was increasedfrom2,491 ha in 1992 to 4,358 ha in 2002, resettlement was increased from 359 ha in 1992 to 1,612 ha in 2002, bare wasdecreasedfrom 1,115 ha in 1992 to 217 ha in 2002, lake was decreasedfrom 52 ha in 1992 to 50 ha in 2002.

Abstract

Untuk meningkatkan produksi dan mutu buah jeruk di Indonesia, Pusat Penelitian dan Pengembangan Hortikultura telah melaksanakan program penelitian dan pengkajian penerapan pengelolaan terpadu kebun jeruk sehat (PTKJS) di beberapa provinsi sentra produksi jeruk. Pengelolaan terpadu kebun jeruk sehat meliputi (a) penggunaan bibit jeruk berlabel bebas penyakit, (b) pengendalian OPT terutama vektor penyakit CVPD, (c) sanitasi kebun yang baik, (d) pemeliharaan tanaman secara optimal, dan (e) konsolidasi pengelolaan kebun. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui sifat inovasi teknologi PTKJS yang berpengaruh terhadap adopsi inovasi oleh petani. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Sambas, Kalimantan Barat, dari bulan April sampai Desember 2006, menggunakan metode survei. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak semua inovasi teknologi PTKJS diadopsi oleh petani jeruk di Kabupaten Sambas. Inovasi teknologi yang tidak diadopsi oleh petani memiliki sifat inovasi yang berkategori nilai rendah. Inovasi teknologi tersebut adalah penggunaan perangkap kuning, penyiraman tanah dengan insektisida, penggunaan sex feromon, pemberongsongan, penyulaman dengan bibit berlabel, pemangkasan arsitektur, penyiraman tanaman dan pemanenan secara benar, serta konsolidasi pengelolaan kebun. Inovasi teknologi PTKJS yang sangat cepat diadopsi oleh petani adalah penyaputan batang menggunakan bubur (belerang) Kalifornia. Faktor nonteknis yang mempengaruhi adopsi teknologi PTKJS adalah kurang dukungan benih bermutu dari instansi berwenang, kurang dukungan penyediaan input produksi, khususnya belerang, rendahnya harga jual, dan kurangnya modal finansial petani.ABSTRACT. To increase production and quality of citrus in Indonesia, the Indonesian Center for Horticulture Research and Development has conducted research and assessment program of ICMHCO in several provinces. Integrated Crop Management for Healthy Citrus Orchid consists of (a) labelled and free diseases planting materials use, (b) pests and diseases control especially for the CVPD vector, (c) good field sanitation, (d) optimum cultural practices, and (e) field management consolidation. The objectives of this research was to evaluate characteristics of ICMHCO innovatory technologies that affect the adoption of the innovations by the farmers. The research was conducted in Sambas District, West Kalimantan, from April to December 2006, using survey method. The results showed that only a part of the innovatory technologies of ICMHCO were adopted by the citrus farmers in Sambas District. The non-adopted technologies generally have low value of technology characteristics. The technologies were labelled free diseases planting materials, yellow trap application, drenching with insecticide solutions, sex pheromon application, pruning, fruit wraping, irrigation and good harvesting practices. The innovatory technologies promptly adopted by the citrus farmers was California (sulphur) paste application. Non-technical factors that affect the adoption of the innovatory technologies of ICMHCO were less quality seed support institutionally, less support of production input from the proper institution especially for sulphur, low selling price and less financial capital of the farmers.

Abstract

Di beberapa lokasi di Jawa Barat telah diintroduksikan model pabrikasi pupuk organik skala pedesaan antara lain di Kecamatan Tamansari, Kota Tasikmalaya. Dalam pengembangan model tersebut masih menemui beberapa hambatan, yaitu permasalahan dalam pengembangan kelembagaan produksi pupuk organik, serta terkait dengan prilaku petani (pengguna). Pengkajian bertujuan 1) Mengevaluasi  tingkat kelayakan usaha pabrikasi pupuk organik di pedesaan; 2) Mengetahui faktor penentu  pengembangan produksi pupuk organik di pedesaan; 3). Mengetahui faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku petani menggunakan pupuk. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui Expert Meeting dan survei wawancara terhadap 42 petani responden. Data diolah secara deskriptif, analisis Margin Benefit Cost Ratio, dan analisis regresi logistik binari. Hasil pengkajian menunjukkan bahwa usaha pabrikasi pupuk organik skala pedesaan dengan model introduksi mempunyai kelayakan usaha yang lebih tinggi, sehingga layak dikembangkan. Permasalahan utama pabrik pupuk organik pedesaan yaitu tingkat produksinya masih di bawah kapasitas produksi optimum disebabkan pemasaran hasil yang kurang baik. Peluang petani menggunakan pupuk organik dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor yaitu proporsi tanaman semusim yang diusahakan, kepemilikan ternak, serta keterampilan dalam membuat pupuk kompos terutama dalam pengetahuan penggunaan dekomposer.

Abstract

Pengembangan komoditas padi sawah yang berorientasi agribisnis seharusnya  didukung oleh alat dan mesin pertanian antara lain traktor moda dua. Kajian ini dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi tingkat penggunaan,  keragaan dan kelayakan penggunaan traktor roda dua di lahan  padi sawah  di Jawa Barat. Kajian ini juga bertujuan untuk membuat pendekatan  pengembangan traktor roda dua di Jawa Barat berdasarkan kenyataan di lapangan dan kebijakan pemerintah. Kajian ini dilaksanakan melalui metode Pemahaman Pedesaan  Partisipatif dan survey terstruk-tur. Hasil pengkajian menunjukkan bahwa ketersediaan traktor relatif memadai dengan tingkat partisipasi rumah tangga pengguna di musim hujan dan kemarau masing-masing  96 % dan 97 %. Usaha jasa traktor layak diusahakan karena  mem-berikan nilai Revenue-Cost Rasio 1,36 dan Pay Back Period 2,74 per tahun dan titik Impas 30,77 ha/tahun. Pada penelitian ini, beberapa masalah sosial, budaya dan teknis dalam pengembangan traktor roda dua pada padi sawah di Jawa Barat telah diinventarisasi.

Abstract

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interaksi antar teman sebaya memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan pada perilaku prososial anak.  Interaksi antar teman sebaya tersebut memungkinkan anak-anak untuk berinteraksi dan mengenal berbagai bentuk perilaku prososial. Interaksi antar satu anak dengan lainnya ditandai dengan adanya komunikasi dua arah, yang pada umumnya anak-anak mengemas komunikasi tersebut dalam bentuk cerita. Salah satu metode bercerita yang dianggap paling efektif untuk merubah perilaku anak adalah metode shared reading.  Secara teknis  shared reading melibatkan komunikasi aktif antara pembaca cerita dengan pendenger. Intervensi selama 10 hari yang dilakukan pada kelompok anak dengan usia beragam (mixed-aged group),  menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan. Pada awal sebelum penelitian perilaku prososial anak berada pada total presentase 42.8 % dan setelah diberikan intervensi meningkat sebesar 80,8%. Berdasarkan presentase tersebut, perilaku prososial mengalam peningkatan skor sebesar 38%

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Produktivitas dan mutu buah jeruk di Indonesia saat ini masih rendah dan perlu ditingkatkan. Pusat Penelitian dan Pengembangan Hortikultura telah melaksanakan program penelitian dan pengkajian penerapan pengelolaan terpadu kebun jeruk sehat (PTKJS) di beberapa provinsi sentra produksi jeruk. Pengelolaan terpadu kebun jeruk sehat meliputi (a) penggunaan bibit berlabel bebas penyakit, (b) pengendalian OPT terutama vektor penyakit CVPD, (c) sanitasi kebun yang baik, (d) pemeliharaan tanaman secara optimal, dan (e) konsolidasi pengelolaan kebun. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk  mengetahui adopsi inovasi teknologi PTKJS oleh petani. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Ponorogo, Jawa Timur, dari bulan April sampai dengan Desember 2006,  menggunakan metode survai. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa inovasi teknologi PTKJS dari komponen teknologi, seperti penggunaan bibit unggul berlabel bebas penyakit, konsolidasi pengelolaan kebun, dan subkomponen teknologi, seperti penggunaan perangkap kuning, penyiraman tanah dengan insektisida, penggunaan sex feromon, pemberongsongan, penyulaman dengan bibit berlabel, pemangkasan, penyiraman tanaman, dan pemanenan secara benar, tidak diadopsi oleh sebagian besar petani jeruk di Kabupaten Ponorogo.   ABSTRACT. The technology package of ICMHCO consisted of (a) the used of labeled and free deseases planting materials, (b) pest and deseases control especially for the CVPD vector, (c) good field sanitation, (d) optimum cultural practices, and (e) field management consolidation. The objective of this research was to access the adoption of technology package of ICMHCO by the farmers. The research was conducted at Ponorogo District, East Java, from April to Desember 2006, using survey method. The results showed that only a part of technology package of ICMHCO had been adopted by the citrus farmers in Ponorogo District. There were some technological components that had not been adopted yet by farmers, such as labeled free deseases planting materials, consolidation of orchard management, yellow trap application, drenching of insecticide solution, sex pheromone application, fruit wrapping, replanting with labelled seeds, pruning, irrigation, and good harvesting practices.

Abstract

This research is based on the importance of the teacher's role in developing the character of early childhood independence. So the purpose of this study is to find out the character of children's independence, to find out the role of the teacher during the learning process in developing the character of children's independence, to find out what are the supporting and inhibiting factors in developing the character of children's independence. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Collection techniques through observation techniques interviews and documentation. The data sources of this research are group B teachers, group B3 students. Furthermore, in data analysis techniques, researchers use the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the independence of group B children was in accordance with their developmental stages, in physical abilities shown by the ability of children to wear their own shoes, responsible as evidenced by the child's ability when doing tasks from the teacher the child tries to complete it, sociable can be seen from the child's ability to socialize with classmates even though school has only been held for two weeks but children have been able to socialize and discipline, able to express opinions, control emotions reasonably. The role of the teacher in developing independence is as a model, guide, trainer, motivator and assessor and the supporting factors in developing children's independence are the role of educators, learning strategies, learning methods, and adequate facilities.

Abstract

The widespread use of LPG gas stoves in Cibunar Village is not matched by adequate safety literacy, leading to an increased risk of household accidents. This community service program aimed to increase gas stove safety literacy among the residents of Cibunar Village through a participatory-based educational approach. The program employed the Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) method, actively engaging 15 residents in all stages, from needs assessment and workshops to practical demonstrations, simulations, and evaluation. The program's effectiveness was measured using a pre-test and post-test design. The results indicated a significant increase in knowledge, with the participants' average score rising by 27.9%, from 10.53 to 13.47. A thematic analysis revealed that the most significant gains in understanding were in the categories of "Debunking Myths and Misconceptions" (a 52.0 percentage point increase) and "Emergency Response Actions" (a 46.7 percentage point increase). This program demonstrates that the participatory education method is highly effective not only in transferring procedural knowledge but also in correcting misinformation and building the community's capacity to respond to emergencies independently.

Abstract

Kabupaten Bandung merupakan daerah dengan tingkat kerentanan tinggi terhadap bencana seperti banjir, longsor, dan gempa bumi. Kondisi ini menuntut peningkatan kapasitas guru PAUD dalam mengedukasi kesiapsiagaan bencana sejak dini. Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi guru PAUD melalui pelatihan, pendampingan, dan pengembangan media pembelajaran tematik yang ramah anak. Kegiatan dilakukan secara partisipatif melalui lima tahapan: sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi edukatif, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Sebanyak 30 guru PAUD di wilayah rawan bencana Kabupaten Bandung berpartisipasi aktif. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan, dengan rata-rata skor pengetahuan meningkat dari 48,5 menjadi 85,2 atau naik 75,7%. Selain peningkatan kognitif, kegiatan ini juga memperkuat efikasi diri guru dalam merancang pembelajaran tematik kebencanaan. Program ini menghasilkan Paket Inovatif Edukasi Kesiapsiagaan Bencana berupa modul interaktif dan media visual berbasis permainan yang menumbuhkan budaya keselamatan sejak usia dini.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the needs for developing the Merdeka Curriculum in the subject of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and Character, based on local wisdom at the senior high school level, with a focus on the cultural context of West Java communities. The background of this research lies in the predominance of textual and normative approaches in PAI instruction, which have not fully accommodated local values such as religious traditions, regional languages, and living cultural practices within society. Using a mixed-methods approach with a concurrent triangulation design, data were collected through questionnaires and interviews involving 373 students and 191 PAI teachers from five public senior high schools in West Java. The findings indicate that more than 70% of respondents support the integration of local wisdom values into the PAI curriculum. The most prominent aspects include the need for contextual learning guidelines, the scarcity of locally relevant textbooks, and the importance of using regional languages in delivering religious materials. The study concludes that developing a PAI curriculum adaptive to local cultural contexts is not only crucial for enhancing the relevance of learning but also strategic in shaping an inclusive, moderate religious identity rooted in students’ social realities. The results of this needs analysis are expected to serve as both a conceptual and practical foundation for designing a PAI curriculum that is contextual and responsive to the dynamics of Indonesia’s multicultural society.
