Abstract

Praktek Alih fungsi lahan pertanian menjadi lahan non pertanian terjadi di banyak daerah di Indonesia termasuk di Gorontalo ,menurut data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) setiap tahunya di Kota Gorontalo mengalami penurunan jumlah luasan lahan pertanian diakibatkan karena peralihan fungsi lahan. Dampak secara langsng dari alih fungsi lahan yaitu hilangnya lahan garapan petani dan berkurangnya jumlah produksi pertanian. Penelitian ini melihat alih fungsi lahan pertanian di Gorontalo menurut persepsi akademi pertanian sebagai kelompok yang relevan dengan tema penelitian. Informan dalam penelitian adalah dosen pertanian yang ada di berbagai kampus di Gorontalo. Proses pengambilan data penelitian menggunakan wawancara mendalam bersama informan penelitian, pengambilan data dan analsis data dilakukan secara interaktif menggunakan model Miles and Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa paradigma akademisi pertanian terhadap alih fungsi lahan sangat beragam, salah satu informan menyampaikan bahwa alih fungsi lahan mempengaruhi produksi pangan, namun juga disampaikan oleh informan lain bahwa di Gorontalo mempunyai daerah satelit yang memproduksi pangan.

Abstract

Agricultural extension is a task given to someone by the agricultural service with their respective target areas with the Agricultural Extension Center (BPP) as the coordinator. In the context of agricultural development in Indonesia, agricultural extension workers play an important role in transferring knowledge and technology to farmers. the purpose of this study was to determine the role of agricultural extension according to the perceptions of rice farmers in Sangkub 4 Village, Sangkub District, North Bolaang Mongondow Regency. This research was conducted in Sangkub 4 Village, Sangkub District, North Gorontalo Regency from March to May 2022. The data collection method used was observation and interview methods with a questionnaire guide using qualitative analysis where the sample of respondents was 63 rice farmers. The results showed that the first extension agent acts as a guide with a farmer's perception value of 2.56 and is included in the high category, the second is the extension agent's role as an organizer with a farmer's perception value of 2.52 which is also in the high category, the third is the extension agent's role as a technical trainer with a farmer's perception value of 2, 62 is included in the high category. So that overall the role of extension agents in rice farming in Sangkub 4 Village shows a perception value of 2.56 and is included in the high category or very involved.

Abstract

Purpose: Bongopini Village is a village in Tilongkabila District, Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo Province. It has four hamlets with a population of 1,425. There are 5 groups of freshwater fisheries cultivation with a total of 24 land pond plots with an area of approximately 10 ha. Koi Lovers Farm is one of the fish cultivator groups that specializes in cultivating koi fish Methodology: The Community Partnership Program at the Koi Lovers Farm in Bongopini village, Tilongkabila District, Bone Bolango Regency, is a community service program that aims to help koi fish breeders and the community in diversifying their biotechnology-based income by utilizing new and renewable energy to improve community welfare. Programs that have been implemented include providing knowledge and skills in business management, Koi fish cultivation management training, Training and practice in making a Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) using solar energy, Income diversification training in the form of an aquaponic system and providing assistance for koi fish broodstock for hatching, Results: several stages of evaluation were carried out after the activity was carried out, such as evaluation from activity partners, 83.34% of the partner group understands the purpose of income diversification. There has been an increase in partner products by 100% who previously only tried koi fish, increased by hydroponic vegetables, and as many as 83.33% of partners strongly agree that cultivating lettuce plants can provide additional income for them, as well as additional partner income of IDR 600,000. Limitation: hydroponic farming activities require extra care, apart from coinciding with the rainy season, it also requires more time to control the water in the hydroponic installation. Contribution: The Koi Lovers group actively participates in the activities carried out, with the knowledge that has been given they have been able to operate hydroponic installations independently to increase their income.

Abstract

One of those who play a role in agricultural development in Indonesia is agricultural extension agents through the programs and activities carried out. However, farmers with various patterns of attitudes and thoughts have different perceptions in seeing agricultural extension workers. The purpose of this study was to determine the perception of farmers based on 2 indicators assessed. This research was conducted in Sidodadi Village, Sangkub District, North Bolaang Mongondow Regency. The data collection method used is the method of observation and questionnaire interviews with a list of statements that have been prepared. The number of respondents in this study amounted to 65 farmers. The results of the study indicate that the perception or assessment of farmers based on the farmer capacity indicator is in a good category with a score of 213.2 with a percentage of 65.60%, while for agricultural technology information indicators are also in a good category, with a score of 201.6 with a percentage of 62, 03%. So, based on the 2 indicators assessed, farmers' perceptions are included in the good category with an average score of 1037 with an index score of 63.82%.

Abstract

Purpose: The plantation sector is a potential sector spread across North Gorontalo Regency very widely. The commodity with potential is coconut with total production in 2021 of 9,329.73 tons. The amount of coconut production per year is 9,329.73 tons, producing coconut fiber waste. With the calculation that each ton of coconut produces 35% -40%, 3731.90 tons of coconut fiber waste is produced. Methodology: Based on this background, several activity methods were designed as a way out of the problem in question. First, socialization was carried out regarding the potential possessed by Tolongio village, Anggrek District, North Gorontalo Regency. Followed by 50 participants consisting of Bumdes Nusa Indah administrators, Helumo youth organization, village officials, students, and the community. Second, training in making products from coconut fiber waste, Third, assistance in making products and establishing business units for sustainability Results: Evaluation carried out to measure the level of the achievements of the activities that have been carried out, increasing skills in making community products increased by 81%, partners' understanding and knowledge regarding the use of coconut fiber waste increased by 87%, understanding of partners' business management increased by 83%. Conclusion: The result of the mentoring activities is the formation of a new business unit ready to produce cocopeat, cocofiber, and cocobristle under the name Nusa Kelapa with SK number; 800/DT-Angg/19/X/2023. Limitation: This activity is limited to processing coconut fiber waste in Tolongio village by utilizing technology and establishing a business unit as a management institution. Contribution: The contribution given to activity partners is in the form of making and handing over coconut fiber waste processing equipment into fibers with export value, in addition to several empowerment activities and the formation of business units managed by village youth.

Abstract

Dalam upaya memotong alur distribusi yang panjang maka Badan Litbang membentuk Unit Pengelolaan Benih Sumber (UPBS) ditiap-tiap BPTP yang ada disetiap provinsi di seluruh Indonesia. Berbagai alasan petani dalam memilih dan memutuskan benih padi untuk dibudidayakan, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat efektifitas dari pola pendistribusian benih yang dilakukan oleh pihak BPTP Gorontalo serta melihat kecenderungan dan minat petani dalam mengadopsi suatu jenis benih yang akan dibudidayakan terutama pada benih NutriZinc dan benih Cakrabuana. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di BPTP Gorontalo dan Kabupaten Bone Bolango, waktu penelitian pada bulan Januari sampai Maret 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian pola distribusi yang dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan mentabulasi data penjualan benih. Untuk mengukur efektivitas pola distribusi benih serta minat petani terhadap suatu varietas benih dilakukan dengan menggunakan model multiatribut fishbein. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pola distribusi yang diterapkan oleh BPTP Gorontalo terbagi menjadi 2, yaitu distribusi berdasarkan swadana dan distribusi berdasarkan bantuan. Distribusi terbilang efektif, dan kemudahan akses benih menjadi poin penting dalam adopsi suatu varietas benih padi oleh petani.

Abstract

Introduction: Analog rice is a functional food made from part or all of non-rice ingredients consumed like eating rice in general. One of the analog rice that is widely consumed is corn rice. Consumption of corn rice has become a culture of the people of Gorontalo. The aims of this study were to (1) determine the attributes that influence the purchase decision of corn analog rice in Gorontalo City and (2) analyze consumer attitudes towards the attributes of corn analog rice in Gorontalo City. Method: The research was conducted at the Gorontalo City Central Market, with a total sample of 65 respondents who were selected by accidental sampling. Data analysis used descriptive analysis by making a frequency distribution table to determine the attributes that influence the purchase decision of corn analog rice in Gorontalo City. Multiattribute Fishbein analysis was used to analyze consumer attitudes towards the attributes of corn analog rice. Result: The results showed that the rice analogue of corn that respondents liked was rice with small/fine grain, yellow in color, aromatic, free from dregs, and cheap. After being cooked into rice has a sweet rice taste and fluffier texture. The results of the Fishbein Multi-attribute analysis showed that the quality of rice was ranked first with a score of 20,10 points, followed by the color of the rice with a score of 18,49 points. Conclusion: Attributes that influence the purchase decision of corn analog rice in Gorontalo City include the shape of rice grains, the taste of corn rice, the texture of corn rice, color, aroma, quality, and price of rice. Fishbein's multi-attribute analysis shows that the attributes of quality and color of corn rice are the most important considerations in purchasing corn analog rice.
