Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi sektor ketenagalistrikan terus melaju pesat, terutama dalam konteks pendidikan di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan, khususnya pada jurusan Teknik Instalasi Tenaga Listrik. Ruang praktik menggunakan listrik arus bolak balik 3 fasa sebagai sarana utama dalam pembelajaran pemanfaatan tenaga listrik. Kelalaian siswa berupa kegagalan instalasi bertentangan dalam penerapan pembelajaran Keamanan dan Keselamatan Kerja listrik. Dengan teknologi Internet of Things memungkinkan untuk mempermudah pengoprasian dan pengawasan. Oleh karena itu dibuatlah sistem kontrol sumber listrik 3 fasa menggunakan Siemens LOGO  yang di operasikan secara Internet Of Things dengan komputer ataupun seluler melalui web dashboard Node RED. Tujuannya agar instruktur dapat memegang kendali penuh dan siswa tidak dapat lagi mengaktifkan sumber listrik 3 fasa tanpa pengawasan, melainkan harus sesuai terhadap prosedur pemeriksaan yang telah dilaporkan kepada instruktur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian yang dilakukan secara keseluruhan, sistem berjalan dengan baik, terdapat peringatan ketika terjadi hubung singkat arus listrik pada bilik praktikum dan perubahan status pada kondisi dashboard Node RED. Tegangan keluaran rata- rata antar fasa adalah 418,3 Volt sdeangkan keluaran tegangan rata-rata fasa-netral adalah 241,6 Volt. Selain itu,  pembacaan urutan fasa dengan alat ukur telah benar dengan hasil putaran searah jarum jam. The development of electricity sector technology continues to advance rapidly, especially in the context of education in Vocational High Schools, especially in the Electrical Power Installation Engineering department. The laboratory room uses 3-phase alternating current electricity as the main means of learning the use of electricity. Student negligence in the form of installation failure is contrary to the application of electrical Work Safety and Security learning. With Internet of Things technology, it is possible to facilitate operation and supervision. Therefore, a 3-phase power source control system was created using Siemens LOGO which is operated via the Internet of Things with a computer or mobile via the Node RED web dashboard. The goal is that instructors can have full control and students can no longer activate 3-phase power sources without supervision, but must comply with the inspection procedures that have been reported to the instructor. This study uses the Research and Development method. Based on the results of the tests carried out as a whole, the system runs well, there is a warning when there is a short circuit in the laboratory room and a change in status on the Node RED dashboard condition. The average output voltage between phases is 418.3 Volts while the average output voltage of the phase-neutral is 241.6 Volts. In addition, the reading of the phase sequence with the measuring instrument was correct with the result of clockwise rotation.

Abstract

This research aims to design an Internet of Things (IoT)-based monitoring system capable of monitoring the gas and temperature in a biogas digester to improve the operational efficiency of a biogas-fueled stove. The system utilizes a DS18B20 sensor to ensure the fermentation temperature remains optimal and an MQ-4 sensor to detect methane levels. The data collected by the sensors is processed using an ESP32 microcontroller and displayed directly through the Blynk application. This technology is designed to improve stove performance and biogas production and maximize its use as an environmentally friendly renewable energy. Test results show that the system is effective in monitoring parameter changes with a high degree of accuracy, enabling a more optimized fermentation process and efficient use of biogas. The system provides real-time information regarding digester condition and stove performance, thus supporting the improvement of biogas-based energy efficiency. In addition, this technology contributes to the development of sustainable solutions that benefit both households and the industrial sector.

Abstract

This study designed a corn grain dryer based on the ESP32-CAM microcontroller to enhance the efficiency of the post-harvest drying process. An expedited alternative to conventional drying that remains contingent upon weather conditions. The efficacy of the engineered apparatus was assessed via an experimental methodology. The apparatus for assessing the color of corn kernels comprises an ESP32-CAM camera, a heating element, and a K-type thermocouple sensor. The ESP32 microprocessor operates the system of this device. Experiments were performed by contrasting the drying outcomes with traditional methods. The gadget can desiccate corn kernels in 30 minutes to 2 hours for 0.5 kg, which is considerably more efficient than conventional methods. The automated mechanism maintains the optimal drying temperature range between 38 and 40°C. The method is deemed complete when the camera accurately identifies the color transition of the maize kernels from moist (yellow) to dry (golden). Due to its versatility for use at any moment.

Abstract

This research discusses the utilisation of Solar Power Plant (PLTS) in the salt production process by comparing the effectiveness of using seawater and pond water. The purpose of this study is to compare the process of making salt using pond water and seawater. The designed system includes automatic heating, temperature control, and automatic pumping system operated with energy from PLTS. The test was conducted for 1.5 hours with a measurement interval of 10 minutes. The results show that seawater produces more salt, namely 6 grams, compared to pond water which only produces 4 grams, with the volume of evaporated water ranging from 5-8 mL each. This difference indicates that the salt content in seawater is higher, making it more efficient for salt production. Although the solar PV system used is not yet fully optimised, this research shows the great potential of using renewable energy in the salt production process that is environmentally friendly and independent from conventional energy supplies.

Abstract

Indonesia, being on the equator, possesses significant solar energy potential with an average radiation intensity of 4.8 kWh/m² per day. This potential can be utilised for various sectors, including the salt production industry which requires a stable electricity supply. Solar Power Plant (PLTS) is a strategic alternative in increasing the efficiency of salt production, especially in the drying stage. This study aims to analyse the performance of the energy storage system in the solar power plant battery used in the salt production process. The research method involved measuring the voltage from the solar panel stored in the battery through three daily testing sessions. The test results showed that the highest voltage, 12.59 Volts, was reached in the morning and afternoon, while in the afternoon it decreased as the intensity of sunlight decreased. The results of this study show that solar power plants play an important role in maintaining a stable supply of electrical energy to support salt production. However, voltage fluctuations due to changes in sunlight intensity emphasise the importance of optimising the energy storage system. Therefore, the development of more efficient storage technologies is needed to increase the effectiveness of renewable energy-based salt production.

Abstract

Abstract:This research analyzes the technical and economic performance improvements of the 20 kV Keboansikep feeder network using ETAP 21.0.1 simulation software. The study addresses the problem of high power losses and voltage drops in the existing system, which reduce network efficiency and electricity supply quality. Data collection involved field measurements of feeder load, conductor specifications, transformer capacity, and network configuration, followed by modeling and simulation in ETAP. Two improvement scenarios were evaluated: Option 1, upgrading conductor cross-sectional area to 240 mm, and Option 2, adding a new feeder line to distribute the load more evenly. Simulation results show that in the existing condition, total power loss reached 246.11 kW with a maximum voltage drop of 3.8%. Option 1 reduced power loss to 153.08 kW and voltage drop to 2.5%, while Option 2 achieved the best performance with power loss of only 65.99 kW and voltage drop of 1.2%. From an economic perspective, Option 1 generated annual energy cost savings of approximately IDR 896 million, while Option 2 saved around IDR 1.73 billion annually. Although Option 2 requires higher investment, it offers greater long-term benefits in terms of energy efficiency, voltage stability, and operational reliability. The findings provide practical insights for electricity distribution companies in selecting cost-effective and technically sound solutions to minimize network losses and enhance service quality.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan aparatur desa dalam mengolah, menganalisa dan menyajikan data statistik sektoral dalam bentuk infografis desa. Perangkat desa belum memiliki kemampuan melakukan visualisasi data statistik desa dengan infografis menjadi latar belakang dilaksanakannya pelatihan ini. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini meliputi persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Hasil pretest dan posttest digunakan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas pelatihan serta mengukur sejauh mana peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta setelah mengikuti kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Berdasarkan uji Wilcoxon Signed-Rank diketahui bahwa kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta tentang infografis.

Abstract

The demand for versatile telecommunications devices is growing rapidly, one of which is the smartphone. The increasing need for smartphones has also driven the development of various applications, both for mobile phones in general and specifically for smartphones. Currently, the variety of features and technologies in smartphones is expanding, while prices are becoming more competitive and affordable. The focus of this research is consumer perception of smartphones using a qualitative-descriptive research approach. The research findings indicate that perceptions of smartphones are more dominant as a lifestyle choice, while aspects of need and desire tend to be less important. Designing and building home door locks, along with automated lighting and fans as hardware. Additionally, using Android and Arduino programs as software. Smartphones serve as controllers to manage door locks, lights, and fans. Temperature and humidity sensors are also included so users can monitor the temperature and humidity in the room. The device used as a connector is the NodeMCU ESP8266 module. The relay functions as a switching device to control the door lock, lights, and fan. The DHT22 sensor is used to detect the temperature and humidity in the room. The temperature and humidity of the room will be displayed on the smartphone screen. Abstract

The utilization of solar energy in Indonesia remains relatively low despite its high potential in terms of solar irradiation and geographical advantage. One of the main challenges in photovoltaic (PV) systems, especially in tropical climates, is the decline in performance caused by high operating temperatures. Unlike previous studies that primarily focused on passive cooling methods or basic active cooling without intelligent control, this research introduces a cross-mounted water pipe cooling system integrated with a Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) for dynamic water flow regulation, enabling optimal temperature control and dual-output (electrical and thermal) efficiency. Experimental testing on two 100 Wp monocrystalline solar panels—one with cooling and one without—under identical conditions revealed that the cooled panel achieved an average maximum power of 85.2 W, compared to 43.6 W for the non-cooled panel, with efficiency improvements of up to 7.4% over the observation period. A linear regression model was developed to predict PV performance under varying temperature conditions, demonstrating a slower decline in efficiency and more stable power output in the cooled system. The proposed hybrid PV/T configuration effectively dissipates heat while simultaneously recovering thermal energy, thus enhancing total energy utilization. These results highlight the system’s capability to mitigate thermal degradation, extend module lifespan, and promote sustainable renewable energy adoption in tropical regions. The integration of intelligent control with thermal management presents a scalable and energy-efficient approach for future photovoltaic applications.
