This paper presents an analysis of optimal micro hydropower (MH) capacity of hybrid systems to improve renewable energy based power systems. The electricity system was designed by considering river water flow data and solar radiation data at the research location, Andalas University. Optimal results obtained for the configuration of the Grid, MH, and PV with a head height of 30 m and a flow rate of 800 L/s with the lowest COE value of $ 0.065. As an optimal sizing system has been able to increase the composition of renewable energy generation in the Unand electrical network. The renewable energy fraction has increased from 26.4% to 36.5%. Therefore, determining the optimal capacity will increase the use of renewable energy generation. Conversely, an increase in electricity supply from renewable energy plants will reduce electricity consumption from the PLN grid. The latest excess power generation at a low load can be sold to the PLN grid

Training of Computer network using Miktrotik at the Integrated Modern Islamic Boarding School of Dr. Muhammad Natsir at Alahan Panjang is one of the solutions to overcome the problem of the effectiveness and efficiency computer user. The training was started by a field survey to laboratory of the information and communication technology (ICT) at the School. In this survey, discussions were held on what problems are very important and get priority to find solutions in increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of computer use at the School. The results of the survey agreed that computer network training with Mikrotik would be held in order to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of computer use on it. The second activity was the preparation of computer network training with Mikrotik. Preparation was carried out in the form of discussions with teammates to determine materials and methods that were more efficient and effective in the implementation of computer network training with Mikrotik at the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) laboratory. The results of the discussion agreed that the training would be provided in the form of presentations and hands-on practice. The third activity was the implementation of computer network training with mikrotik. This training was provided for 2 days, namely Saturday and Sunday. The first day was done by shared knowledge about the basics of computer networks and Mikrotik. The second day, students did a computer network training with Mikrotik. The fourth activity was the evaluation of computer network training activities with Mikrotik, to evaluate the activities that have been carried out and to obtain suggestions and input for future improvements.

To identify the fault, wavelet method is used in solving complex protection problems. This study uses a new approach, namely the wavelet multi resolution analysis method with its application where multi resolution analysis works to analyze signals at different frequencies with the same resolution. In this study, the classification of fault types that occur in the 150 kV transmission line quickly and accurately is carried out using the wavelet multi resolution analysis method. This research is included in applied research and was designed using computer simulation software, namely ATP and MATLAB. The data transmission system used is the Maninjau Hydroelectric Power Plant transmission line to Pauh Limo Substation. The modeled transmission system is given 1-phase to ground, 2-phase to ground, 2- phase, 3-phase and lightning faults. To determine the accuracy of this classification, the fault is varied according to the distance and impedance of the disturbance. From the analysis of the simulation results and calculations, based on the wavelet multi resolution analysis method used in fault classifying, the average value of the approximation coefficient used to classify the type of fault is obtained. Based on the results of the study, it can be said that all types of fault analyzed in this study have met the classification requirements using the wavelet multi resolution analysis method

Manual analysis of thermal image for detecting defects and classifying of condition of surge arrester take a long time. Artificial neural network is good tool for predict and classify data. This study applied neural network for classify the degree of degradation of surge arrester. Thermal image as input of neural network was segmented using Otsu’s segmentation and histogram method to get features of thermal image. Leakage current as a target of supervise neural network was extracted and applied Fast Fourier Transform to get third harmonic of resistive leakage current. The classification results meet satisfaction with error about 3%.

The grounding system is one part of the electric power system that has an important role in flowing overcurrent from the electric power system to the ground due to electrical power system disturbances or lightning strikes that can endanger the building and its surroundings. This grounding system aims to protect humans, electrical equipment, and electrical installations from the danger of electrical short circuits. In compliance with official regulations, safety standards and according to general electrical installation regulatory standards (PUIL) to avoid the danger of lightning strikes in buildings, it is necessary to have grounding resistance value of less than five ohms and is made as small as possible. In this study, the measurement of grounding resistance seen from the depth of the grounding and the grounding resistance are arranged in parallel. The results of this study indicate that the parallel grounding resistance method produces a more significant reduction in the value of grounding resistance compared to the grounding resistance in a certain depth From the calculation results, the resistance value of the Electrical Engineering Building at Andalas University using a rod electrode with a diameter of 0.016 meters is 24.5 Ω with an electrode depth of 0.5 meters and at a depth of 1 meter a grounding value of 17.52 Ω is obtained. The deeper the depth of the electrode, the smaller the resulting resistance value, and installing a grounding system with the multirod method, namely arranging electrodes in parallel with a certain depth, obtains less resistance compared to not parallelizing the electrodes

Kegiatan perencanaan pengembangan sistem informasi untuk pengelolaan Taman Bacaan Masyarakat (TBM) Karang Putih dengan mitra kegiatan ini adalah Taman Bacaan Masyarakat (TBM) Karang Putih. Permasalahan utama dari TBM dimana belum memiliki sistem pengelolaan yang berbasis teknologi informasi untuk mendukung aktifitas kegiatan sehari–hari. Untuk itu dilakukan pengembangan aplikasi yang berbasis teknologi informasi untuk pengelolaan aktivitas di TBM Karang Putih. Pengembangan aplikasi sistem yang berbasis teknologi informasi ini bertujuan untuk pengelolaan aktivitas di TBM Karang Putih secara efektif dan efisien. Adapun manfaat dari adanya aplikasi sistem informasi ini selain untuk membantu pengelolaan aktivitas sehari – hari di Taman Bacaan Masyarakat (TBM) Karang Putih juga mampu memberikan dampak pada peningkatan proses pembelajaran, peningkatan kesadaran dan kemampuan penggunaan teknologi informasi di Taman Bacaan Masyarakat (TBM) Karang Putih Kelurahan Batu Gadang Kecamatan Lubuk Kilangan Kota Padang. Adapun metoda pelaksanaan kegiatan ini akan difokuskan pada perencanaan pengembangan aplikasi sistem informasi untuk membantu pengelolaan aktivitas di Taman Bacaan Masyarakat (TBM) Karang Putih.

Artikel ini mendeskripsikan perancangan dan analisa sistem Load Frequency Control (LFC) tipe non reheat tanpa dan dengan metoda Linear Quadractic Gaussian (LQG) dan metoda Linear Quadratic Gaussian – Loop Transfer Recovery (LQG – LTR). Sistem Load Frequency Control (LFC) tipe non reheat dinyatakan dalam bentuk persamaan keadaan. Pengendali dirancang dengan metoda LQG dan metoda LQG – LTR dengan bantuan perangkat lunak Matlab serta berdasarkan kriteria perancangan tertentu. Analisa yang dilakukan meliputi analisa tanggapan peralihan, analisa tanggapan domain frekuensi untuk fungsi alih lingkar terbuka, analisa tanggapan domain frekuensi untuk fungsi alih lingkar tertutup dan analisa kekokohan. Untuk analisa tanggapan peralihan, parameter yang diamati waktu naik, waktu puncak, waktu keadaan mantap dan nilai lewatan maksimum. Untuk analisa tanggapan domain frekuensi untuk fungsi alih lingkar terbuka, parameter yang diamati adalah margin penguatan. Untuk analisa tanggapan domain frekuensi untuk fungsi alih lingkar tertutup, parameter yang diamati adalah lebar pita. Untuk analisa kekokohan, parameter yang diamati adalah nilai puncak sensitivitas dan nilai puncak sensitivitas komplementer. Hasil perancangan memeperlihatkan bahwa dengan pengendali LQG – LTR, sistem Load Frequency Control (LFC) memenuhi kriteria perancangan. Adapun nilai parameter yang diperoleh dari tanggapan peralihan meliputi waktu naik sebesar 0.1002 detik, waktu puncak sebesar 0.5086 detik, waktu keadaan mantap sebesar 1.6343 detik dan nilai lewatan maksimum sebesar 17.9010 %. Nilai parameter yang diperoleh dari tanggapan domain frekuensi untuk fungsi alih lingkar terbuka yaitu margin penguatan sebesar tidak terhingga dan nilai parameter yang diperoleh dari tanggapan domain frkeuensi untuk fungsi alih lingkar tertutup yaitu lebar pita sebesar 19.7040 rad/detik dan nilai parameter yang diperoleh dari analisa kekokohan yaitu nilai puncak sensitivitas sebesar 1.1591 dan nilai puncak sensitivitas komplementer sebesar 0.9160.

The planning for the development of a mathematics learning module for residents studying package C based on the open-source platform Scilab at the Community Learning Center (PKBM) Karang Putih is one of the solutions to address the lack of facilities, especially open-source learning media. The activity plan started with discussions and information sharing. In this stage, discussions and experiences were shared regarding the Scilab-based mathematics learning module for package C learners. The second activity is the analysis of the module's needs. Based on the discussion's outcomes, decisions will be made about the type of module to be created, the required features, potential challenges, necessary resources for the development process, and so on. The third activity is the design of the learning module. During this phase, the interface and layout of the open-source Scilab-based mathematics learning module are designed. The final activity is the development of the learning module. This stage involves implementing the outcomes of the analysis and design of the mathematics learning module. It also includes testing to ensure that all functions work as intended. By following this planned process, the development of the mathematics learning module for package C learners using Scilab will be expected to provide a valuable open-source learning resource at the Community Learning Center (PKBM) Karang Putih.

Leakage current measurements can be used to determine the aging condition of the ZnO arrester. The leakage current that occurs in the arrester is divided into two, namely external and internal leakage currents. The external leakage current is affected by contamination and the internal leakage current is affected by the aging of the varistor in the arrester. The external and internal leakage currents are measured separately to determine their contribution to the arrester condition. In this study, the effect of salt contamination on the arrester was studied further. The level of contamination used consisted of low, medium and heavy. The obtained leakage current is analyzed using wavelet energy. The results of this study indicate that the wavelet energy of each leakage current is different and can be used as an indicator in further analysis. The conclusion obtained is that the external leakage current is affected by contamination and has a different energy with the internal leakage current due to aging of the varistor arrester components.

Effect of lightning parameters and grounding system impedance on transient overvoltage that occurs in 150 kV overhead transmission lines during lightning using ATP-EMTP modeling. The induced overvoltage that jumps across the insulator is calculated for further analysis. Various parameters that directly influence directly influence the backflashover phenomenon,, such as the effect of lightning strike amplitude, time of rise (front) and decay (tail) of lightning impulses, foot grounding system, and ground resistivity,, are discussed in more detail. Surge arresters are used in this study to overcome the overvoltage that can cause backflashover. The performance of the transmission system after using a surge arrester is investigated at the time of a lightning strike. The results indicate that the parameters of the advance time and the lightning current amplitude greatly affect the overvoltage magnitude voltage. Other parameters have little effect on the overvoltage in the transmission line.
