Abstract

Abstract

In eartgworks there are othe sub-works including ordinary excavation work, ordinary embankment from excavated sources, selected embankment from excavated sources, preparation of bicycle lane bodies, and cones. In this final project the author tries to make a comprasion of the volume of excavation and embankment. The outhor uses the AutoCAD Software application to a calculate the area, pours the result of the area calculation into Microsoft Excel to calculate the volume of excavations and embankments and uses the AutoCAD application to visualize excavations and embankments. Based on the result of research concudated by the author, the authors conclude that there is a significant difference in volume result from those obtained by the author using the AutoCAD application with the volume results that have been carried out by the implementing contractor. For the result of excavation volume, the volume obtained by the author is smaller than the volume calculated by the implementing contractor, namely the volume comparison value is 614.65 m3 : 756.84 m3. For the volume of embankment, the volume obtained by the author is smaller than the volume calculated by the implementing contractor, namely the comparasion value is 1.189,3875 m3 : 1.439,76 m3.

Abstract

Belakang Padang is one of the islands located in Batam City hinterland area. It is known as “Pulau Penawar Rindu” and has become one of tourism interest in Batam City. Even though it has become a tourism interest, Belakang Padang island lacks a map for tourist navigation. This community service aim to help Belakang Padang island by making a map based on data elevation model (DEM). By using ArcGIS as the data processing, a navigation map is created as a tourism property. The map contains the basic information of the island such as transportation route, geographical element, and place of interest. Future project can be done by expanding the information provided by the map.

Abstract

High-rise buildings are structures that are prone to lateral loads. Every high-rise building design requires a strong structure to withstand lateral loads due to earthquake and wind loads. The use of Shear Walls can reduce the displacement that occurs due to lateral loads received because of earthquake loads and wind loads. This study aims to analyze the effect of Shear Walls on the Monde City Tower M2 Apartment building in Batam City. The method used in this study is a numerical analysis in the form of modeling a 15-story apartment building located in Batam City. The building is modeled into 2 types, namely (V1) a structure without using Shear Walls and (V2) a structure using Shear Walls according to the structural drawings. The earthquake analysis was carried out using the response spectrum method with the software ETABS v 18.1.0 for the structural analysis calculations. The results of the analysis obtained in the form of the deviation value from a structure that uses shear wall have decreased the deviation in the X direction by 12.5476 % and a decrease in the deviation in the Y direction by 68.1254 %. P-Delta in a structure that uses a shear wall is much better in structural stability than a structure that only uses a frame system.

Abstract

Flood is a problem that occurs frequently on Ranai Island, Natuna Regency, especially in the last three years namely 2021, 2022, and 2023, where 2022 recorded the most severe flood among them. The data used in this study includes Digital Elevation Model (DEM), Landcover data, Slope data, and Precipitation data, all of which are secondary data. This study aims to analyze the potential of flood inundation using ArcGIS on Ranai Island, Natuna Regency. The research focuses on the use of ArcGIS 10.8 application as the sole platform for analysis. The Weighted Sum analysis method is used to combine data from various sources to map areas that are potentially prone to flood inundation. The research results in a flood inundation map indicating flood-prone areas. The research findings also indicate that flood-inundated areas in previous years are indeed located in flood-prone areas. This map is expected to provide valuable information for urban planning and hydrological analysis, as well as to serve as a guide in flood disaster mitigation efforts on Ranai Island. The conclusion of this research emphasizes the importance of mapping the potential of flood inundation as an initial step in facing flood risks in the future. The flood inundation map produced is expected to be an effective tool for stakeholders in making decisions related to urban planning and natural resource management on Ranai Island, Natuna Regency.

Abstract

A building is an infrastructure with several structural and architectural components erected to help all human activities. Mosques and mushollas are buildings that become unique places of worship for Muslims. The existence of Musholla has grown as a necessity for many infrastructures, including factories, offices, and schools or madrasas. Public facilities such as mosques and mushollas require calculations in terms of sound design because of the broad land. An expert with experience making building designs is needed to get the design as expected. This is the main requirement of what is expected by SMAN 26 Batam. The school plans to build a mosque or musholla because it does not have a place yet to worship and do other religious activities for the Muslim community inside the school. The purpose of this community service is to assist in the planning process of the musholla construction, where the project is expected to benefit the school community later. The output of this activity is the submission of 2D and 3D designs and drawings, calculation of a Budget Estimate Plan (BEP), and construction implementation project schedule (Banana Curve).

Abstract

The increase in foundation bearing capacity is crucial for the RDMP project, which is a National Strategic Project in Indonesia. This study analyzes the casting of micro pile foundations using the Jet Grouting method, an alternative grouting technique used to enhance foundation bearing capacity. The research involves site selection, planning, implementation of Jet Grouting, and analysis of foundation bearing capacity using the Mayerhoff method and Standard Penetration Test (SPT) data. This method injects high-pressure grouting material into the ground, forming solid columns that support refinery infrastructure and improve the soil strength around the foundation. The results show an increase in foundation bearing capacity and soil strength, with Mayerhoff method results of 6,200.08 kN and SPT results of 3,476.98 kN. In conclusion, Jet Grouting successfully improves foundation bearing capacity and becomes an innovative and effective method for geotechnical challenges in specific projects, providing new insights for construction practitioners on optimizing foundation bearing capacity in the RDMP project.
