Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi menghadirkan media pembelajaran berbasis Augmented Reality (AR) yang mampu memberikan pengalaman belajar interaktif untuk membantu siswa memahami konsep sulit dan meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, mengeksplorasi cara guru mengembangkan kemampuan tersebut, serta mengetahui persepsi terhadap penggunaan AR. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan dengan pengumpulan data melalui angket yang disebarkan kepada siswa dan guru di beberapa sekolah dasar. Siswa menunjukkan kemampuan berpikir kritis yang bervariasi dengan potensi yang umumnya baik. Sebagian besar responden memiliki persepsi positif terhadap AR sebagai alat pembelajaran yang meningkatkan motivasi dan keterlibatan.Integrasi teknologi AR ke dalam kurikulum disarankan untuk memaksimalkan pengalaman belajar siswa.

Abstract

Kemampuan awal adalah salah satu kemampuan yang wajib dimiliki peserta didik sebelum mengikuti pembelajaran serta diperlukan untuk melanjutkan pelajaran selanjutnya. Namun, seringkali peserta didik berada pada tingkat kemampuan awal yang rendah, sehingga tidak dapat menghubungkan pengetahuan awal yang relevan dengan apa yang mereka hadapi secara spontan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana peran kemampuan awal dalam pembelajaran matematika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi pustaka (library research), yaitu penelitian dengan cara mengumpulkan informasi dan data dari berbagai sumber yang ada seperti buku referensi atau hasil penelitian terdahulu yang relevan dengan masalah yang akan dipecahkan. Adapun kriteria inklusi dalam penelitian ini, yaitu subjek penelitian yaitu peserta didik sekolah dasar, hasil penelitian berkaitan dengan pelajaran matematika, dan sumber referensi dipublikasikan dalam kurun waktu 10 tahun terakhir. Berdasarkan hasil kajian diperoleh hasil bahwa kemampuan awal dilandasi oleh teori pemrosesan informasi. Kemampuan awal berperan penting dalam pembelajaran, khususnya pembelajaran matematika, karena matematika adalah subjek yang hierarki, yaitu pengetahuan baru merupakan kelanjutan dari pengetahuan sebelumnya. Berdasarkan hasil temuan, maka guru disarankan untuk mengidentifikasi kemampuan awal peserta didik, menguatkan konsep dasar matematika, serta memberikan panduan sederhana kepada orang tua untuk mendukung pembelajaran di rumah.

Abstract

Pendidikan di Indonesia menghadapi tantangan dalam meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran, terutama dalam mata pelajaran matematika. Pendidikan matematika memiliki peranan penting dalam membentuk kemampuan berpikir logis dan analitis siswa. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika merupakan salah satu keterampilan kunci yang harus dikuasai oleh siswa, terutama di tingkat dasar. Model SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, Intellectual) menawarkan pendekatan yang inovatif dan interaktif dalam pembelajaran Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas Model SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, dan Intellectual) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas 6, dengan fokus pada aspek mandiri belajar. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pra-eksperimental dengan desain penelitian yakni One Group Pre-test-Post-test Design. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang diberikan sebelum dan setelah perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Penerapan model pembelajaran SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, Intellectual) terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas 6, dengan peningkatan rata-rata skor sebesar 10 poin dari Pre-test ke Post-test. Rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,38 menunjukkan kemajuan dalam kategori sedang, menandakan potensi untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut. Setiap elemen SAVI berkontribusi signifikan terhadap keterlibatan siswa dan kemandirian dalam belajar. Oleh karena itu, beberapa rekomendasi penting, seperti evaluasi berkala, penilaian capaian akademik, dan modifikasi penerapan model ini, diperlukan untuk mencapai hasil yang lebih optimal dalam peningkatan kemampuan matematika siswa.

Abstract

According to a survey conducted by the International Student Assessment Program (PISA), it is clear that Indonesia still ranks low compared to other countries. The survey, conducted in 2022, placed Indonesia in 74th place out of 79 countries. This study aims to determine: 1) the application of technology in mathematics learning in elementary schools. 2) teachers' ability to utilize technology in mathematics learning. 3) the quality of wordwall-based learning in mathematics subjects in elementary schools. This type of research is a qualitative case study with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and questionnaires. The subjects of this study were fourth-grade students, homeroom teachers, and the principal's staff. Data analysis used inductive techniques, including data collection, data reduction, and writing conclusions. Data validity was tested using triangulation of techniques, sources, and time. The results obtained from this study are: 1) the application of technology-based mathematics learning in elementary schools. 2) Almost all teachers are able to utilize technology well. Some teachers have also implemented technology in the teaching and learning process, such as the use of animated videos and illustrated PowerPoints. 3) Wordwall-based learning has been proven to generate renewed enthusiasm for all students, as the quizzes presented are highly engaging and animated. If implemented routinely, wordwall-based learning will improve the quality of learning, particularly in mathematics. With the introduction of technology-based learning in elementary schools, it is hoped that the quality of learning will improve even further.

Abstract

PhET Interactive Simulations were initially developed for science learning but have recently gained attention in mathematics education due to their potential to enhance students’ problem-solving skills. This research employs the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by collecting, reviewing, and analyzing relevant literature on the use of PhET media to improve mathematical problem-solving skills among elementary school students.. PhET media is known as an interactive simulation tool initially developed for science learning, but its use in mathematics education has begun to gain attention. This research employs the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by collecting, reviewing, and analyzing relevant literature on the use of PhET media to improve mathematical problem-solving skills among elementary school students. The study employs the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, systematically collecting, reviewing, and analyzing various relevant literature on the use of PhET media in enhancing mathematical problem-solving skills among elementary school students. PhET media is known as an interactive simulation tool initially developed for science learning, but its use in mathematics education has begun to gain attention. This research employs the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by collecting, reviewing, and analyzing relevant literature on the use of PhET media to improve mathematical problem-solving skills among elementary school students. The inclusion criteria consist of journal articles published between 2014 and 2024, focusing on the topic of PhET media and mathematical problem-solving skills in elementary school contexts, and accessible through databases such as Google Scholar, ERIC, and Scopus. The exclusion criteria include articles published before 2014, studies unrelated to mathematics learning or PhET media, and sources that are not peer-reviewed journal articles.The review results indicate that PhET media can increase students' active participation, help visualize abstract mathematical concepts, and encourage the application of more flexible and exploratory problem-solving strategies. The effectiveness of PhET also increases when combined with problem-based or inquiry-based learning approaches. These findings have positive implications for teachers and curriculum developers, suggesting the integration of interactive digital media into the mathematics learning process in elementary schools.

Abstract

The low understanding of Grade 4 students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah regarding multiplication operations with whole numbers is one of the main obstacles in mathematics learning that must be addressed promptly. This study aims to determine the effect of using dakon mathematics media on multiplication operation ability and to enhance the effectiveness of mathematics learning among Grade 4 MI students. The method used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental approach and a pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample consisted of two classes: the experimental class used dakon media, while the control class used conventional methods, with 20 students in each class.The data collection technique in this study was carried out using pretests and posttests to measure students' multiplication ability before and after treatment. The data analysis technique used was quantitative statistical analysis with a t-test to examine the difference in average multiplication ability between the experimental and control classes.The results of the study showed a significant increase in multiplication operation skills in students who used dakon media compared to those who did not use the media . The dakon media proved effective in helping students understand the concept of multiplication through a concrete and enjoyable approach. Thus, the use of dakon mathematics media has a positive impact on improving multiplication skills in Grade 4 Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students.

Abstract

Pendidikan memiliki peran penting dalam membangun karakter dan kemampuan generasi muda, namun kemampuan numerasi siswa di Indonesia masih rendah, dengan sekitar 71% siswa tidak mencapai tingkat kompetensi minimum matematika menurut data OECD. Tujuan dari penelitian ini 1) mendiskripsikan tingkat kemampuan numerasi, 2) mengeksplorasi faktor-faktor penyebab kemampuan numerasi rendah, 3) mendiskripsikan cara-cara yang dilakukan oleh sekolah dalam meningkatkan kemampuan numerasi.  Metode dari penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif deskripsi. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu masih banyak peserta didik yang kurang memahami konsep metematik sehingga mempengaruhi kemampuan numerasi peserta didik di fase C. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil tes hanya 16% peserta didik yang mendapatkan nilai diatas batas minumum. Rendahnya kemampuan numerasi peserta didik di pengaruhi oleh faktor internal dan eksternal. Faktor internal terdiri dari aspel fisikologis dan psikologis. Fisiologis berkaitan dengan kebugaran tubuh dan Kesehatan panca indra. Pikologis berkaitan dengan motivasi, minat dan semangat belajar dari peserta didik. Sedangkan faktor ekternal dari lingkungan sekitar, dan lingkungan keluarga yakni peran orang tua dalam mendukung belajar peserta didik. Dari hasil wawancara beberapa cara yang sudah dilakukan guru dalam meningkatkan kemampuan numerasi  dengan menyediakan media pembelajaran, dan pemilihan model pembelajaran yang tepat. Namun masih terkendala dari modul pembelajaran yang terbatas karena materi kurang lengkap dan penyajian kurang menarik. Sehingga dibutuhkan modul pembelajaran yang lebih bervariatif yang mampu menarik rasa ingin tau peserta didik, dengan harapan peserta didik memiliki motivasi untuk mempelajarai. Guna mencapai hasil kemampuan numerasi yang baik dibutuhkan kerjasama antara orang tua dan guru serta dukungan lingkungan dalam penguatan konsep matematis dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.
