Abstract

The world of work, both from the level of government employees, BUMN employees, private company employees and others, is demanded to be able to adapt to technological advances. So that employee attendance can be easily monitored by superiors directly both when they come, when they go home and work location. This research activity is SMK Negeri 1 Balikpapan as a partner to implement a web server and website attendance information system for teachers, education staff and other employees. The problem faced by partners is that for employees working at SMK Negeri 1 Balikpapan attendance attendance only uses a fingerprint and retrieves data using a flash drive manually not integrated directly into the server automatically so that leaders cannot monitor and also when working outside the office cannot make attendance at at that moment. This research aims to help an easy system for teachers and education staff who are working outside the city with camera features and location points so they can take attendance. The results of this study are that it runs well without problems and can make it easier to recap the results of employee absences and reduce fraud that will be carried out in the absence of teachers and education staff at SMK Negeri 1 Balikpapan.

Abstract

Sistem deteksi dini akan potensi kebakaran dapat mengurangi dampak buruk dari lingkungan. Pada saat ini, keterbatasan sistem deteksi kebakaran adalah pada cakupan area dan letak pemasangan perangkat sehingga sensitivitas sensor di dalam ruangan menjadi berkurang. Pada penelitian ini, diajukan untuk mendeteksi fenomena dalam ruangan dengan memanfaatkan beberapa sensor. Metode logika fuzzy digunakan untuk pengabilan keputuan dalam proses data multisensor dan pada sebuah cluster head (CH), hasil dari proses data adalah level kondisi pada sebuah perangkat end device (ED) . Hasil pengujian menggunakan logika fuzzy menjadikan sistem deteksi terdistribusi pada setiap peragkat ED dan CH, sehingga dapat menghemat penyimpanan dan proses komputasi data pada fusion center (FC).

Abstract

Motor induksi 1 phasa merupakan motor listrik arus bolak balik yang bekerja berdasarkan induksi medan magnet dari kumparan ratornya. Sistem ini berfungsi untuk memonitoring dan kontrol motor menggunankan Dimmer, Sensor suhu, RPM (Revolution per minute), dan LCD yang diletakan pada panel. Selain untuk sistem kontrol alat ini juga akan membuat sistem proteksinya agar komponen listrik dan motor tidak terjadi kerusakan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan kemudahan untuk mengoperasikan suatu peralatan dan memanfaatkan suatu fitur Wifi yang terdapat di smartphone. Sehingga dapat dikendalikan dari jarak jauh. Metode pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) waterfall dengan Langkah awal analisis, desain, pengembangan, pengetesan, dan perbaikan. Hasil penelitian berhasil dimana perintah yang diberikan pada Google Assistant sesuai dengan output pada Relay, karena pada perintah yang telah dibuat pada IFTTT (If This, Then That) sebelumnya telah terkoneksikan dengan feed yang ada pada Adafruit IO dan untuk jarak maksimal terbaik koneksi wifi antara 0-15 m. Jika Google Assistant tidak mengenali perintah yang dibuat dan data yang terkoneksikan dengan IFTTT maka Google Assistant akan merespon dengan output suara bahwa perintah tidak dapat diproses dan untuk hasil monitoring terhadap sensor RPM tingkat akurasinya mencapai 98,95% dan Sensor Suhu rata-rata 97,1%.

Abstract

The message is the development of technology and information. This affects how easily a particular job can be done quickly and efficiently. This includes managing goods and providing tools and materials needed by an agency to carry out operational activities. Stating the purpose of this system is very important. Especially at Balikpapan State Polytechnic, because the data collection method is still manual, by hand writing on loan forms and visits to campus to check whether items are available or not. This can be said to be ineffective and inefficient in supporting work productivity.Therefore, it is recommended that the Electrical Engineering Department of the Balikpapan State Polytechnic create an information system for borrowing equipment and supplies. In this system the method used is Waterfall. Laravel functions as a framework and MySQL functions as a database for the information system being developed.The results of this research can work well whenever and wherever they are accessed. Students and laboratory staff can use a web browser on their respective devices connected to the internet network to access this system. By using this system the Electrical Engineering Department can manage tools and materials more effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

Filling in electricity tokens is very important for the continued use of electricity, be it filling up prepaid Kwh electricity tokens so that the need for automatic filling is urgently needed to reduce difficulties in filling in electricity tokens manually. In designing an Internet of Things (IoT) based system that is designed to provide automatic charging control remotely, using the ESP32 microcontroller, ESP32 CAM, and other components, this system can monitor the condition of the electricity meter and send notifications to smartphones when the pulse is nearing exhaustion. Furthermore, with the relay module, the system automatically enters the token code via a push pull solenoid. The test results show that this system can provide notifications with an average time of 41 seconds and sending messages for 43 seconds. ESP32-CAM sends data to a smartphone with a delay in sending messages and photos on Telegram, with the fastest speed of 2 seconds, sending messages for 3 seconds, and sending photos on average 6.2 seconds, from the results obtained that the tool that has been designed can provide increased comfort and efficiency for the user when the user is not at the Kwh of electricity location when the electricity token runs out soon.Keywords: Internet of Things, Sensor, Relay, Microcontroller

Abstract

Sistem monitoring dan pengujian multisensor untuk deteksi dini kebakaran dapat mengurangi risiko kebakaran, serta melakukan pemantauan jarak jauh, sehingga memungkinkan respon cepat dari pihak berwenang meskipun lokasi kebakaran berada di daerah terpencil. Sistem informasi yang dapat memonitor beberapa sensor sekaligus akan memungkinkan deteksi lebih cepat. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk membuat sistem yang mampu memantau kondisi lingkungan secara real-time dan memberikan informasi cepat kepada pihak berwenang ketika deteksi kebakaran terjadi. Tujuan objektivitas adalah untuk mengintegrasikan berbagai jenis sensor seperti sensor DS18B20, sensor kelembaban BME280, Sensor Kebakaran UVTRON R2868, sensor kecepatan angin, sensor arah angin, dan sensor asap MQ135. Metode penelitian adalah Waterfall untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan sistem secara rinci, persyaratan sistem informasi. Selanjutnya, merancang perangkat secara keseluruhan, merancang antarmuka, dan merancang sistem informasi dan pengujian. Output dari penelitian ini adalah membangun model prototipe yang dapat memprediksi perkembangan kebakaran berdasarkan data sensor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengujian seluruh data sensor ditampilkan dan dapat mendeteksi kebakaran secara dini dengan menggunakan metode logika fuzzy untuk memberikan peringatan dini melalui website.

Abstract

This activity was carried out with the background of wanting to implement relevant science to help problems in society. The world of education from elementary school to college is required to adapt to the rapid development of science, especially in the field of information technology. The purpose of this activity is in line with the holding of the Balikpapan City National Science Olympiad competition in the field of informatics, namely the material is basic programming language. So our Community Service Team will provide intensive training to students selected by the school to take part in the Balikpapan City OSN. The methods we use in the community service activities carried out by the team consist of building communication with partners, designing basic programming language learning modules, and providing training in the use of Dev C++ software in the form of training in installation and application in basic programming language coding and its implementation in everyday life in accordance with the National Science Olympiad curriculum. In implementing this Community Service, the PkM activity implementation team provides basic programming training, using a repetitive delivery method. This is because SMAIT AL Auliya students have never received material related to programming languages before at the high school level. Learning programming languages is something new for these students. So the implementation team must use the right learning strategy to deliver the material by creating presentation slides, teaching modules, practice questions and their discussions. So that the results of this activity get satisfactory results.

Abstract

Collaborative research activities with partners are carried out with the background of wanting to implement appropriate science to provide solutions to problems that occur. Currently, it is very important to implement a technology-based system to help human work be more efficient both in terms of time and cost. The design of this tool seeks to improve the quality and efficiency of copper wire winding by incorporating a Haiwell HMI for monitoring and control in the user interface and utilizing an Outseal PLC for automatic calculation of the turns of generator rotor wire to be wound. The method used to solve this problem uses Waterfall. The error rate and accuracy are calculated using formulas. In this research activity, the implementing team designed a PLC and HMI-based control and monitoring system. The problem faced by partners is that when winding generator rotors they still use the manual method, namely by counting the number of rolls, this method often experiences errors and takes a very long time to complete 1 rotor. The results of this research are compared with the manual method for 2,440 windings in 7 days whereas using this system only takes 3 days with an efficiency level of 57.14%.

Abstract

As web services and applications become increasingly complex and user demand grows—especially with the rising number of students—the need for a reliable E-Learning system becomes critical. At Politeknik Negeri Balikpapan, the current E-Learning platform operates on a single server, leading to slow response times and potential server downtime under high traffic conditions. This study addresses the issue by implementing load balancing using two algorithms: Round Robin and Least Connection, across three web servers and one separate database server. Testing was conducted using Apache JMeter with 1000 requests per 10 seconds. Results show that the Least Connection algorithm outperformed Round Robin, achieving an average response time of 155.8ms, compared to 184.2ms. Compared to the single-server setup, the load-balanced system showed significant improvements in response time, error rate, concurrency, availability, upstream, and downstream metrics. CPU load was also reduced due to traffic distribution across multiple servers. This demonstrates that server resource optimization via load balancing can significantly enhance the overall performance of E-Learning services. These findings provide a strong foundation for more efficient and scalable IT infrastructure development and support better decision-making in managing high-demand educational platforms in the future

Abstract

Flooding is a disaster that often threatens communities, especially in high-risk areas. It is not surprising that this disaster causes many losses to the community morally and materially. This is because the area is on the riverbank and is the lowest point. The purpose of this final project is to design a flood early warning system as a water level monitoring to minimize the losses caused by floods with a water level monitoring tool to provide early warning to the community in the event of a flood. This water level monitoring tool utilizes solar panels as an energy source, where this tool uses ultrasonic sensors as water level detection and rain sensors as rainfall detection. This tool requires 28.6 Watts of power to power the system and the accuracy of the ultrasonic sensor is 99.94% with an average ultrasonic sensor error of 0.05%. This water level monitoring tool will help improve the flood early warning system, thus enabling the community to take appropriate mitigation steps before floods reach dangerous levels. Thus, losses due to flooding can be reduced, and assets can be restored, communities can be better protected from the threat of flooding.
