Abstract

The importance of utilizing information technology, including Cyber Extension, in West Lampung is becoming increasingly apparent along with the development of globalization and digital transformation. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of utilization of cyber extension, determine the level of empowerment of coffee farmers and analyze the effect of the level of utilization of cyber extension on the empowerment of coffee farmers. This research was conducted in West Lampung Regency using a quantitative descriptive approach with a sample size of 125 respondents. The level of utilization of cyber extension by coffee farmers in West Lampung Regency is generally classified in the high enough category, meaning that farmers have used and utilized digital technology to manage information related to coffee farming, besides that the level of empowerment of coffee farmers is low, this is due to the lack of ability of farmers in managing results and determining coffee prices. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the level of utilization of cyber extension has a significant influence on the empowerment of coffee farmers in West Lampung.

Abstract

Peningkatan kelas kemampuan kelompok tani ditentukan oleh kompetensi PPL. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui bagaimana persepsi pengurus tentang kompetensi PPL dalam meningkatkan kelas kemampuan kelompok tani dan menganalisis apakah ada hubungan antara persepsi pengurus kelompok tani terhadap kompetensi PPL dalam meningkatkan kelas kemampuan kelompok tani. Metode penelitian adalah metode survei. Penelitian diadakan di Kecamatan Ambarawa Kabupaten Pringsewu pada bulan Februari-Maret 2023. Responden adalah pengurus dari 36 kelompok tani (ketua, sekretaris, dan bendahara) berjumlah 108 orang petani. Data dianalisis dengan cara deskriptif kuantitatif dan analisis inferensial menggunakan uji korelasi Rank Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengurus memiliki persepsi bahwa kompetensi PPL sangat tinggi untuk meningkatkan kelas kelompok tani. Kompetensi PPL sebagai fasilitator, dinamisator, motivator, dan educator tergolong tinggi namun tidak untuk innovator. Terdapat hubungan antara kompetensi PPL dengan peningkatan kelas kemampuan kelompok tani.

Abstract

Pembangunan desa memiliki tujuan meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat dan membangun kemandirian. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan oleh pemerintah untuk mewujudkan pembangunan desa optimal melalui pembentukan Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDes). Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengkaji bagaimana peranan dan keberhasilan BUMDES, menentukan variabel mana yang berhubungan dengan peranan BUMDes serta menganalisis hubungan peranan BUMDes terhadap keberhasilan BUMDes di Kabupaten Pesawaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu anggota BUMDes. Responden yang diteliti sejumlah 64 orang. Pengambilan data dilaksanakan pada April 2023. Metode analisis data yang digunakan yaitu menggunakan analisis korelasi Rank Spearman untuk mengetahui variabel yang berhubungan dengan peranan dan keberhasilan BUMDes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peranan BUMDes dalam meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat dalam klasifikasisi tinggi. Keberhasilan BUMDes yaitu besar keuntungan dalam klasifikasi menguntungkan, BUMDEs memiliki jaringan BUMDes yang banyak, anggota cukup mampu dalam menalankan tugas BUMDes dan masyarakat puas dengan keberadaan BUMDes Hubungan nyata antara jumlah modal, tingkat motivasi, kepemimpinan, ketersediaan sarana dan prasarana, partisipasi masyarakat dan dukungan pemerintah terhadap peranan BUMDes dalam mengembangkan usaha dan ekonomi masyarakat di Kabupaten Pesawaran. Hubungan nyata antara peranan BUMDes terhadap keberhasilan BUMDes dalam mengembangkan usaha dan meningkatkan ekonomi masyarakat di Kabupaten Pesawaran.

Abstract

The research aims to find out the level of utilization of information technology by Field Agricultural Extension and analyze the influence of information technology utilization by Field Agricultural Extension on the Function of BPP as a Learning Center. The research was conducted in December 2021 - January 2022 in Central Lampung Distriet on four BPP namely BPP Gunung Sugih, Seputih Raman, Kota Gajah, and Trimurjo. Respondents in this study were Field Agricultural Extension as many as 40 people.  Research methods were conducted in a descriptive quantitative and simple linear regression analysis. The results of this study showed field agricultural extensionists have utilized information technology by 57,50 percent.  Utilization of information technology was utilized as part of information and data centers, governance management, communication, and data analysis. There was no influence between the utilization of information technology by Field Agricultural Extension to the function of BPP as a learning center.  The Agricultural Extension Center was optimized for various activity centers such as agribusiness consultation, agricultural development center, data and information center and so on.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to identify marketing development strategies for freshwater salted fish business actors in Tulang Bawang Regency. The research was conducted in Menggala District, East Menggala District, and Dente Teladas District, Tulang Bawang Regency. Respondents consisted of 37 business actors engaged in the processing of freshwater salted fish in Tulang Bawang Regency. This study employed a mixed methods approach, combining a quantitative descriptive approach to analyze census data and a qualitative SWOT analysis to formulate marketing development strategies for freshwater salted fish businesses in the region. The research findings indicate that the marketing development strategy adopted by these business actors is aggressive in nature. Recommended marketing development strategies include the diversification of end products based on freshwater salted fish to enhance competitiveness, economic value, and product adaptability to diverse consumer preferences; market penetration to increase the market share of freshwater salted fish products in existing markets through increased sales volume, intensified distribution, and optimized promotion; establishment of marketing partnerships/collaborations to expand distribution networks, strengthen market positioning, and improve marketing chain efficiency; and the development of domestic markets by expanding distribution through the optimization of local potential, market segmentation mapping, and reinforcement of marketing channels.

Abstract

One of the leading commodities that supports the national fisheries sector is crab (Portunus pelagicus). Lampung Province was selected as the first province to become a pilot project for sustainable crab fisheries management by the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP). East Lampung Regency has a vital role in the sustainability of the national crab industry. Crab fishermen in East Lampung still face various structural and technical challenges. The community empowerment approach for fishermen has become one of the main strategies in sustainable crab fisheries management. The success of the empowerment program is highly dependent on the extent to which the innovations introduced can be accepted and adopted by the target community. This study aims to determine the level of diffusion of sustainable crab fishermen empowerment innovations.. The research location was chosen intentionally (Purposive), namely Margasari Village and Muara Gading Mas Village, Labuhan Maringgai District, East Lampung Regency. This research was conducted in May-June 2025. The population was 292 crab fishermen and the research sample was 75 crab fishermen. The data used were primary data and secondary data. The data analysis method used was descriptive. The results of the study were the level of diffusion of innovation in empowering crab fishermen in the catch quota approach included in the low category, diffusion of innovation in the supervision and law enforcement approach included in the medium category, diffusion of innovation in the restocking and conservation approach included in the low category, diffusion of innovation in the fair and sustainable market approach included in the medium category, and diffusion of innovation in the GPS technology approach included in the high category.
