Abstract

This study aims to analyzes the factor that influence the decision of married women in West Sumatera. Data used is based on the national socio-economic survey in 2016. The research population is married women in West Sumatera. The research sample is 8842 married women. By  using a logistic regression model. The result of the study show that together education, poverty, and residental areas have a significant effect on the decision of married women in West Sumatera  with a Pseudo R2 value of 12,15%. Keywords: education, poverty, residential area, decisions of married women.

Abstract

This study aims to examine (1) the effect of capital on the income of sweet corn farmers in Tanjung Raya District, Agam Regency (2) Effect of farming experience on the income of sweet corn farmers in Tanjung Raya District, Agam Regency (3) Effect of education level on income of sweet corn farmers in Tanjung Raya District, Agam Regency. (4) Effect of capital, farming experience and education level on the income of sweet corn farmers in Tanjung Raya District, Agam Regency. This type of research is classified as quantitative research. The population of this study is sweet corn farmers in Tanjung Raya sub-district, Agam district. The sample was determined based on the total sampling method, as many as 50 respondents. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires directly to the respondents concerned. Data analysis techniques using multiple linear regression with t test and F test. he results showed that (1) Capital has a positive and significant effect on the income of sweet corn farmers in Tanjung Raya District, Agam Regency (sig 0,000 <α = 0.05) with a magnitude of 19,164% (2) Farming experience has a positive and not significant effect on income Sweet corn farmers in Tanjung Raya District, Agam Regency (sig 0.360> α = 0.05) with a large influence of 0.923% (3) The level of education has a positive and insignificant effect on the income of sweet corn farmers in Tanjung Raya District, Agam Regency (sig 0.2333 > α = 0.05) with a magnitude of effect of 1.207%. Capital, farming experience and education level, together have a significant effect on the income of sweet corn farmers in Tanjung Raya District, Agam Regency (sig 0,000 at the level of α = 0.05) with the results of the analysis obtained Fcount 159.98> Ftable 2,807. Based on the results of the study, it is advisable for sweet corn farmers to increase the amount of capital and increase knowledge related to maize cultivation, so that the sweet corn farming business gets great results. Keywords : Income, Capital, farming experience, and level of education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze (1) The influence of the job of the head of household to fertility in West Sumatra. (2) The effect of expenditure per capita household on fertility in West Sumatra. (3) The contraceptions effect on fertility in West Sumatera. (4) Influence of mother education level to fertility in West Sumatera. (5) Influence of education level of father to fertility in West Sumatra. (6) Influence of residence area to fertility in West Sumatra.The type of research is descriptive and associative research. The type of data in this study is the Susenas data of district / city in West Sumatra Province in  2016. The study populations are the mothers who gave birth to living childs  in West Sumatra. The total sample is 5014 people. Samples were taken from 19 regencies / cities in West Sumatera province in both urban and rural areas. Hypothesis test is G test and Wald test with 5% real level. The results of this study show that (1) the head of household job has a positive and significant effect on fertility in West Sumatra. (2) The expenditure per capita household has a positive and significant effect on fertility in West Sumatra. (3) The contraception is used by mothers has a negative and significant effect on fertility in West Sumatra. (4) the education level of mothers have a positive and significant effect on fertility in West Sumatra. (5) The education level of the father has a positive and significant effect on fertility in West Sumatra. (6) Residential areas have a negative and insignificant effect on fertility in West Sumatra. (6) The work of household head, expenditure per capita household, family planning, mother education, father education and residence have a positive and significant influence on fertility in West Sumatra. Keywords: fertility, occupation of head of household, expenditure per capita household, use of family planning, mother education, father education and residence.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the impact of life expentacy, fertilitiy rates, morbidity rates, and investment on economic growth in Indonesia. This type of research is associative descriptive research, where the data used was secondary data from 1985 to 2015 obtained from related institutions, which are analyzed using the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. The findings of this study indicate that life expectancy, fertility rates, morbidity rates, and investment have a significant effect on economic growth in Indonesia.   Keywords: life expectancy, fertility rates, morbidity rates, investment, and Ordinary Least Square (OLS)
