Abstract

Language is one of the tools of knowledge. The highest competency mastered in forming language skills is reading ability. In fact, at Elementary school Tlekung 02, it was found that students reading comprehension skills were very low, as evidenced by a pre-Stage Test with only 30% of students passing. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to improve the reading comprehension skills of grade 5 students at State Elementary School Tlekung 02 Baru City by applying a multiliteracy model for reading comprehension through illustrated stories. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research model used was John Elliot's model conducted in 3 stages. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and questionnaire distribution. The research results obtained showed an improvement in teachers' ability to enhance students' skills using the multiliteracy model. It can be seen that the scores obtained in Stage1 were 3.2, while the scores obtained in stage 2 were 3.3. For students' reading skills results, the scores obtained in stage 1 were 3.17, while the scores obtained in stage 2 were 3.85. It can be concluded that there was an increase in teacher skills and student reading skills using the multiliteracy model, with an improvement occurring over 2 stages of applying the multiliteracy model during the learning process

Abstract

Language is a means of knowledge and competence that is very important to be mastered in forming language skills in reading ability, but in reality at SD Tlekung 02 it has been found that reading comprehension ability is still very low, it can be proven through the results of the cycle test with success reaching 35% of students who have completed it, therefore the purpose of this study is to improve the reading comprehension ability of grade 6 elementary school students at SDN Junrejo 01 Batu City by applying the multiliteracy model through procedural texts. The method used is PTK (Classroom Action Research). This research model is a research model used by Arikunto which was carried out 4 times through techniques consisting of planning, observation, implementation, reflection obtained, namely to show the level of reading comprehension of grade 6 students in procedural texts. The results of the study in cycle I had a score of 67.5. While the score obtained in cycle II was 91. It can be concluded that there has been a significant increase. Therefore it can be concluded that the multiliteracy model can be applied to Indonesian language learning, namely in procedural text material.

Abstract

Research related to analyzing teacher readiness in implementing the Independent Curriculum is very important to carry out. The objectives of this research are: Analyzing indicators of teacher readiness in the Readiness to Implement the Independent Curriculum. Apart from that, this research will also provide recommendations for increasing teacher readiness in compiling teaching modules based on the Independent Curriculum. This research method uses descriptive qualitative, data collection is carried out through FGD (Focus Group Discussion). The instruments used were observation guidelines, interviews and a questionnaire on Readiness to Implement the Independent Curriculum. Data were analyzed using data triangulation techniques. Based on the research results, it was concluded that the readiness of elementary school teachers in implementing IKM in Probolinggo Regency was included in the medium category. The aspect of readiness in understanding the assessment is one of the assessments that is relatively low

Abstract

Batik is one of the crafts in Indonesia. The form and function of batik has developed. Formerly used by the royal court, now it is not. Every batik work produced has a character in it. These characters are found in their cultural background, beliefs, customs, and tastes. This makes batik a vehicle for cultivating character values. It is feared that the potential for Indonesian batik will be eroded without the preservation of Indonesian society. Although Indonesia has produced a lot of batik, there are still a few that show its distinctive features. Recently, batik appears in Malang, but it does not have a patent right. So it does not yet have a unique batik motif. Even though it does not have a patent right, there is batik that is well known in Malang, namely the Parang Mask batik from the Panji figure. In the batik motif is associated with the values of character education including religious, nationalist, independent, mutual cooperation and integrity as a form of character building for elementary school children. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to describe the character education of Parang Mask batik as a form of character building for elementary school children. This study uses a qualitative approach with this type of descriptive research. The subject is Parang Mask batik. The character values in the Parang Mask batik are religious values, nationalist values and also the value of mutual cooperation.

Abstract

Character education is an effort to create a generation that is intelligent, has noble character and has an Indonesian personality. The success of character education in learning does not necessarily come from the perspective of the cognitive domain, but rather how to balance cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains whose estuary is to create a complete human being, likewise with cultural values. Foreign cultural values are growing rapidly along with technological advances, which have significantly shifted local cultural values in Indonesia, one of which is batik, most people, including university students, do not know the uniqueness of local wisdom in their respective regions; this Soendari Gallery has a batik based on strengthening character education. The purpose of this study is how to analyze the content of character education contained in Grombol Batik at the Soendari Gallery. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. The subject of this research is Grompol Batik from Soendari Gallery. In Grompol batik, there is a circle or oval shape, which is one of the five characters, namely mutual cooperation. Besides that kawung is also known as a symbol of strength and justice which is also one of the dai character education. It can be concluded that the Grompol batik contains character education in it. This research is expected to provide many benefits for the community and the artists.

Abstract

The research of matryoshka animal media development is established based on the problem that exists which is the students' characteristic of inability to focus on and the teacher who got difficulty in giving understanding upon the teaching material toward the students. Therefore, the researchers create a concrete tool for the learning targets. The aims of this research are: (1) to know and describe the development of the matryoshka animal media in thematic learning in grade IV theme 6 sub-theme 2 in SDN Ketawanggede Malang; (2) to know and describe the application of matryoshka animal media in thematic learning in grade VI theme 6 sub-theme 2 in SDN Ketawanggede Malang. This research used ADDIE developmental model. This developmental ADDIE model has 5 stages which are analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data analysis technique used in this research is quantitative and qualitative to know the applicable product that has been developed. This research was done in grade IV of SDN Ketawanggede. The result from this developmental research of matryoshka animal media on thematic learning in grade IV theme 6 sub-theme 2 based on the scoring percentage which is (1) the percentage of material validation is 85% within a valid category, and master of media is 88% within a valid category, and right to be used. While the percentage of teachers' responses is 100% and students' response from 25 students shows 96% and pass the criterion. Based on the percentage matryoshka animal media is passed and right to be implemented.

Abstract

Based on the results of observations, namely by knowing the conditions in the field with a total number of students, namely 13 students, the learning media is said to have not trained students' reading skills and students have not experienced, still have difficulty in carrying out learning. For that we need media that can support students' reading skills in learning activities. This study uses the ADDIE model with five stages, namely: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the evaluation through the material expert validation test stage 1 were 72.72 in stage 2 of 86.36, while the media validation test was 73.07, the teacher's response was 65.62 and the results of student responses from 13 students who did not enter 2 were 72, 10. This falls into the good category and is good to use as the basis for a conversion table. The results of these efforts indicate that the media is in the appropriate category for use.

Abstract

Language is one of the tools of knowledge. The highest competency that is mastered in forming language skills is the ability to read. However, in reality at Ampeldento 01 Karangploso Elementary School it is still found that students' reading comprehension skills are very low, especially in grade 4 students. The purpose of this study was to improve the reading comprehension skills of 4th grade students of SDN Ampeldento 01 Karangploso by applying the multiliteracy model of reading comprehension through picture stories. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (PTK). The research model used is the John Elliot model which is carried out in 2 stages. The data collection techniques used were observation, interview, and questionnaire distribution through the evaluation test results of 28 students. The results obtained showed an increase in the teacher's ability to improve students' abilities by using the multiliteracy model. The results of the study concluded a significant increase with very good quality in Indonesian learning outcomes with main idea material. This can be proven from the average results of students where in cycle 1 shows that the average value of students only reaches 61.5 so that it is still categorized as sufficient, with a percentage of student completeness of 39% this condition indicates that the learning strategy in the first cycle is not fully effective and still needs guidance in improving student learning outcomes. Whereas in cycle 2 the average score of students only reached 85 so that it could be categorized as very good, with a percentage of student completeness of 89%, this condition indicates that the learning strategy in the second cycle was very good and could improve students' understanding when looking for main ideas in reading. In addition, it can also improve students' reading skills, especially at grade 4 elementary school level.

Abstract

Abstrak: Batik merupakan warisan budaya yang menjadi ciri khas masyarakat Indonesia sehingga wajib dilestarikan. Wujud pelestariannya bisa dilakukan dengan cara mengenalkan batik melalui pemakaian seragam batik di sekolah. Hal ini diterapkan juga di Sekolah Indonesia Bangkok (SIB). Siswa-siswinya dikenalkan batik dengan cara mewajibkan berseragam batik. Terdapat 76 anak sekolah di sana, mereka adalah anak-anak dari WNI yang bekerja di perusahaan asing. Mayoritas dari mereka adalah anak diplomat serta staf KBRI. Kegiatan belajar mengajar di SIB hampir sama dengan Indonesia, yang membedakan hanya jumlah muridnya, serta mata pelajaran seni yang diajarkan hanya menyanyi dan menggambar. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya pendampingan membatik Shibori. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan dalam membatik Shibori bermotif gajah dikombinasikan dengan motif Indonesia yaitu parang. Penelitian ini berjenis kualitatif, dengan penelitian lapangan di SIB. Subjek penelitian ini siswa kelas 5 SD. Metode yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini berupa pendampingan membatik Shibori yang terdiri dari 4 langkah yaitu persiapan, sosalisasi, pelaksanaan kegiatan membatik Shibori dan evaluasi. Proses persiapan pembelajaran membatik meliputi observasi, wawancara. Proses sosialisasi pengenalan membatik Shibori. Proses pelaksanaan kegiatan membatik shibori terdiri dari pembuatan pola, pemberian ikatan, pemberian warna, dan finishing. Selanjutnya evaluasi meliputi observasi dan wawancara dari siswa-siswi SIB.Kata Kunci: Pendampingan, Membatik Shibori, Sekolah DasarAbstract: Batik is a cultural heritage that is characteristic of Indonesian society so it must be preserved. The form of its preservation can be done by introducing batik through the use of batik uniforms at school. This applies also at the Indonesian School of Bangkok (SIB). The students were introduced to batik by requiring batik uniforms. There are 76 school children there, they are children of Indonesian citizens who work in foreign companies. The majority of them are diplomatic children and Indonesian Embassy staff. Teaching and learning activities at SIB are almost the same as Indonesia, which distinguishes only the number of students, as well as art subjects taught only singing and drawing. Therefore it is necessary to provide assistance to make Shibori batik. This study aims to provide assistance in batik making elephant-patterned Shibori combined with Indonesian motifs, namely machetes. This research is a qualitative type, with field research at SIB. The subject of this research is grade 5 elementary school students. The method used is observation, interview and documentation. The results of this study in the form of mentoring batik Shibori consisting of 4 steps, namely preparation, socialization, implementation of Shibori batik activities and evaluation. The process of preparation for batik learning includes observation, interviews. Shibori's batik introduction process. The process of carrying out Shibori batik activities consists of making patterns, giving ties, giving colors, and finishing. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang mengembangkan sebuah media pembelajaran bersifat tematik yang diberi nama media MEKOBIN (Memutar Kotak Binatang).Uji coba produk tersebut dilakukan di SDN Kwaron II Kota Jombang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan pengembangan media pembelajaran MEKOBIN (2) mendeskripsikan kelayakan media pembelajaran MEKOBIN. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode R&D (Research and Development) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Sebagai sumber data yaitu siswa kelas I SDN Kwaron II Kota Jombang, Jombang tahun ajaran 2018/2019 yang berjumlah 12 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media MEKOBIN bernilai layak digunakan terlihat dari hasil kriteri (valid, efektif, dan menarik), terbukti dari pemerolehan hasil presetase 83% validasi materi dan 73% dari hasil validasi media, nilai rata-rata keefektifan siswa kelas I uji coba sebesar 81%, dan 84% diambil dari nilai kemenarikan dari hasil angket respon pengguna.Kata Kunci: Pengembangan, Media MEKOBIN, Pembelajaran TematikAbstract: This research developed a thematic learning media namely MEKOBIN (Spinning Animal Box). The product test was done at SDN Kwaron II Jombang City. This research aimed (1) describe MEKOBIN thematic learning media (2) describe the feasibility of MEKOBIN thematic learning media. This research used R&D (Research and Development) by means of ADDIE learning development (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subject of this research comprised 12 students of the first grader of SDN 1 Kwaron Jombang City in the academic year of 2018/2019. The result revealed that MEKOBIN was feasible based on criteria (valid, effective, and attractive) that were proven by 83% percentage of material validation and 73% percentage of media validation, the average of affectivity of test was 81%, and 84% of the attractiveness of questionnaire.Keywords: Development, Media MEKOBIN, Thematic Learning
