Abstract

This research aims to find out whether the application of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type cooperative learning model can improve the mathematical problem solving abilities of students at St. Private High School. Antonius Bangun Mulia. This research method uses Classroom Action Research (PTK). The research procedure is cyclical. Each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely: planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting. Data collection techniques through observation and tests. This data collection uses several instruments in the form of teacher observation sheets and student observation sheets. Meanwhile, to determine students' mathematical problem solving abilities, tests are used. The results of the research show that the use of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type cooperative learning model can improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities in mathematics lessons on Systems of Three Variable Linear Equations (STVLE). From the average value of prerequisite abilities, namely 42, the average value of students' mathematical problem solving abilities in cycle I is 67 and the average value of students' mathematical problem solving abilities in cycle II is 76 and the value of teacher and student activities in cycle I is 63% and 58%, and cycle II, namely 80% and 82%.

Abstract

One of the objectives of vocational school education is to produce graduates who have adequate competence as indicated by the achievement of good learning achievement indicators. To get good learning achievement is influenced by many factors, including students' creative thinking ability and achievement motivation. From the results of this study using multiple regression analysis, it was found that the regression equation was Y = 6.929 + 0.053 X1 + 0.110 X2. Creative thinking ability and achievement motivation have a positive relationship with student learning outcomes. In other words, to improve student learning outcomes, students must have high creative thinking skills and high achievement motivation as well.

Abstract

Differentiated instruction is proposed to ensure that students receive learning activities that meet their prior-ability, characters, or needs. This study aims to examine the mathematical problem-solving ability of students who received differentiation learning in comparison to those who attended conventional learning. Conducted in a Catholic Junior High School in Medan during the 2020/2021 academic year, this quasi-experimental study was set in Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population in this study were all eigth-graders from 7 parallel groups with 31 people in each. The sample in this study was 22 students consisting of 11 students for the experimental class and 11 students for the control class. The results showed that the average value of students' mathematical problem-solving abilities who participated in differentiation learning was 71.02, while that of conventional learning was 62.73. The difference in the average value of students' mathematical problem-solving abilities in the experimental class and control class is 8.29. From the results of hypothesis testing, the value of tcount = 2.68 and ttable = 1.725 means that tcount > t table is 2.68 > 1.725. This means that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, hence, the mathematical problem solving ability of students who joined differentiation learning (Differentiated Instruction) is better than those who attended the conventional learning.

Abstract

This research aims to find out whether the application of the problem based learning model can improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities in class VII of St. Peter's Middle School, Medan. This research method uses Classroom Action Research (PTK). The research procedure is cyclical. Each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely: planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting. Data collection techniques through observation and tests. This data collection uses several instruments in the form of student observation sheets. Meanwhile, to determine students' mathematical problem solving abilities, tests are used. The results of the research show that the use of the Problem Based Learning learning model can improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities in mathematics lessons on algebra material. From the average value of prerequisite abilities, namely 55.56, the average value of students' mathematical problem solving abilities in cycle I is 72.55 and the average value of students' mathematical problem solving abilities in cycle II is 76.39 and the activity value of students in cycle I is 62%, and cycle II, namely 85%.

Abstract

The teaching campus is a program of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology which is part of the independent campus program which aims to provide opportunities for students to learn and develop themselves through activities outside the lecture class. The schools that are the target of the teaching campus are schools with C accreditation and for schools that are remote and in dire need. Plus the Covid-19 pandemic situation that hit Indonesia at that time so that the role of students was very helpful for lost learning due to less than optimal learning at that time. The main objectives of teaching campuses include 1) increasing literacy and numeracy, 2) technology adaptation and 3) managerial school administration. The service method includes the stages of preparation, implementation and evaluation. The preparatory stage includes the process of selecting and accepting teaching campus students, debriefing, fielding, observing and preparing program plans. The implementation phase includes learning activities in an effort to increase literacy and numeracy, technology adaptation and school administration management. The evaluation phase includes the preparation of reports, repairs and collection of reports. The results of the activity include guiding students who will carry out a minimum competency assessment, teaching in class using laptops and other learning media, maximizing the use of the library for study and reading spaces, creating reading corners in class, and assisting school principals in tidying up student data on beneficiaries.

Abstract

Pola pembelajaran abad 21 menuntut pencapaian hasil belajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran yang kreatif dan inovatif sehingga dapat merangsang kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan berpikir kritis seluruh peserta didiknya. Kemampuan berpikir kreatif ini terdiri dari beberapa karakteristik yakni sensitivitas pengamatan, kelancaran berpikir, fleksibilitas berpikir, orisinalitas berpikir, kemampuan dalam mendefinisikan kembali, kemampuan menguraikan pikiran, kemampuan dalam menilai permasalahan, tingginya minat terhadap permasalahan, kepatuhan terhadap aturan yang ada, terbuka atas hal-hal baru, serta daya imajinasi yang kuat. Sementara untuk pencapaian hasil belajar diukur menggunakan Taksonomi Bloom yang menekankan pada kemampuan peserta didik dalam berpikir tingkat tinggi (high order thinking skills). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh berpikir kreatif terhadap pencapaian hasil belajar siswa pendidikan vokasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan mengambil responden sebanyak 51 siswa vokasi. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa persamaan regresi untuk pengaruh kemampuan berpikir kreatif terhadap pencapaian hasil belajar adalah Y= 0,1044 X + 10,655 dengan nilai koefisien derminasi (r2) sebesar 0,41. Artinya kemampuan berpikir kreatif mempunyai hubungan yang positif terhadap hasil belajar dengan kekuatan determinasi sebesar 41% yang menunjukkan bahwa hubungan antara kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan hasil belajar cukup kuat.

Abstract

Program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) berbasis literasi dan numerasi dirancang untuk mendukung peningkatan kualitas pendidikan di Nagori Sipangan Bolon Mekar. Program ini berfokus pada pengembangan kemampuan literasi dan numerasi bagi anak-anak sekolah dasar melalui pendekatan yang interaktif, kreatif, dan berbasis konteks lokal. Pelaksanaan kegiatan melibatkan mahasiswa KKN, guru, dan masyarakat setempat sebagai mitra strategis. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pembelajaran berbasis proyek, permainan edukatif, dan pelatihan bagi guru untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pengajaran. Hasil dari program ini menunjukkan peningkatan minat baca, pemahaman dasar matematika, dan partisipasi aktif siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Selain itu, program ini juga memperkuat kolaborasi antara institusi pendidikan dan masyarakat. Artikel ini membahas secara rinci proses pelaksanaan, tantangan yang dihadapi, serta dampak yang dihasilkan dari program KKN berbasis literasi dan numerasi ini.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan pengaruh pemahaman konsep matematika mahasiswa terhadap kemampuan menggunakan Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah asosiatif dengan instrumen pengumpulan data berupa tes yang diberikan kepada 12 orang mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia (PBSI). Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif didukung oleh analisis regresi linier sederhana menggunakan SPSS 23 for Windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konsep matematika mahasiswa berpengaruh dan signifikan terhadap kemampuan menggunakan SPSS pada pembelajaran Statistika dengan materi Regeresi Linier Sederhana.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Inquiry terhadap hasil belajar siswa di kelas IV. Pada Mata Pelajaran IPAS SD Negeri 117504 Perkebunan Aek Pamienke Tahun Pembelajaran 2024/2025. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Untuk memperoleh data yang diperlukan instrumen tes sebanyak 25 soal dan angket 25 butir angket. Jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 30 siswa berdasarkan teknik sampling purposive. Untuk mengetahui kemampuan awal siswa, penelitian melakukan Pretest dengan nilai rata-rata 53,07 yang masuk dalam kategori kurang. Hasil dari Pretest tersebut memiliki peningkatan dari hasil Posttest yang diberikan sebelumnya dengan nilai rata-rata siswa mencapai 78,8 dengan kategori baik. Dapat dikatakan tingkat keberhasilan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Inquiry meningkat dan berpengaruh dengan kategori sangat kuat dibuktikan dengan hasil perhitungan uji koefisien korelasi diperoleh hasil  dengan hasil 0,95 lebih besar sama dengan 0,361. Selanjutnya pengujian hipotesis yang membandingkan nilai . Diperoleh nilai  = 16,099 sedangkan  = 1,69913. Karena  (16,099 lebih besar sama dengan 1,69913) maka  diterima dan  ditolak. Melalui uji-t tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan antara model pembelajaran Inquiry (X) terhadap hasil belajar siswa (Y).
