Abstract

This study aims to disclose how virtual reality technology has been applied to studies of learning and the possibility of virtual reality by reviewing studies that have employed the virtual reality approach. A total of 15 papers were selected from the Scopus Index database from 2015 to 2020. Content analysis showed that virtual reality and physics learning had received the most attention under the theme of student perception, especially in self-efficacy and experience, followed by satisfaction, motivation, and engagement. Trends of research development show that the use of virtual reality has proliferated recently. Moreover, HTC Vive is the most powerful device to conduct the VR study for the tool device. This study concludes that virtual reality technology provides a promising media for educational researchers.

Abstract

Exploration can be done by reading, discussing, or experimenting with collecting and processing data. In fluid material, students can explore by looking at the phenomena related to the application of Archimedes' law, Pascal's law, and Bernoulli's law. This study aims to develop teaching materials that can improve students' ability to explore fluid material. The research method used is the 4D model development research. The study results were in marker applications and augmented reality, which was validated by material experts, learning media. This application has also gone through field trials. The validation value of material experts is 86%, and media experts are 82.5%. Meanwhile, the test results for the teacher obtained 83.75%, and the students obtained 83.45%. Based on the validation results, this media is feasible to be used as a learning medium that helps students improve fluid material.

Abstract

Pancasila learner profiles can be implemented in physics learning. This article publishes the results of research and development of physics learning videos. This physics learning video presents physics lessons that shape the Pancasila learner profile. Physics content is a wave that is presented contextually. This learning physics video use research and development of the Lee & Owens model. Product feasibility was assessed using a questionnaire by experts. The components assessed are the feasibility of the physics content, the feasibility of the learning process, the feasibility of the wave concept physics learning media in -learning videos. Sequentially get an assessment of 93.75%, 98.0%, 99.0%. The The implementation of the learning process on learning video products has facilitated the formation of Pancasila learner profiles. Overall, it can be concluded that the resulting physics learning video is very appropriate to be used to form a profile of Pancasila students.

Abstract

The development of 21st-century technology demands innovations in learning media that can support critical, creative, collaborative, and communicative thinking skills. In the context of physics learning, students often still face difficulties in understanding abstract concepts, including Wave material, due to limitations in visualization and the connection between theory and real phenomena. This study aims to develop a digital module based on Meaningful Learning in Wave material as an alternative learning medium that is more interactive, contextual, and aligned with current demands. The research employs the Research and Development (R&D) method using the Dick & Carey model to develop the digital module. Expert validation shows a very good level of feasibility with percentages of 92.5% for the media aspect, 79.2% for the material aspect, and 88.3% for the learning aspect. A limited trial involving 22 students produced positive responses with an average of 92.38%. These results demonstrate that the digital module is not only feasible for use but also effective in helping students connect prior knowledge with new concepts through concept maps, images, animations, and interactive videos. The developed digital module is equipped with concept maps, learning outcomes, illustrations, animations, and interactive videos, which have been proven to help students connect prior knowledge with new concepts, thereby supporting the achievement of meaningful learning. Thus, the digital module based on Meaningful Learning in Wave material can serve as an innovative alternative learning medium to enhance students’ conceptual understanding and 21st-century skills.
