Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa ditinjau dari cara memecahkan masalah matematika siswa. Penelitian kali ini menetapkan metode Systematic literature review(SLR) dengan mereview dan mengkaji menurut kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi sebanyak 19 artikel yang diunduh lewat google cendekia. Keterangan dari penelitian meta analisis menggunakan effect size dihasilkan bahwa variabel prestasi belajar memiliki pengaruh yang tingi diperoleh effect size sebesar 1,738. Hasil analisis ini ternyata sama memiliki pengaruh sedang pada jenjang SMP,SMA/SMK yakni effect size sebesar 0,581 untuk SMP dan 0,640 untuk SMA/SMK. Namun pada pemecahan masalah didapatkan hasil effect size yang kurang maksimal sebesar 0,322 yang berarti komunikasi matematis memiliki pengaruh kecil terhadap pemecahan masalah.

Abstract

This study aims to demonstrate the effectiveness of the application of the blended learning model with the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) approach to the material of a two-variable linear equation system (SPLDV) class VIII-E SMP Negeri 18 Surabaya. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative research. The instruments used are critical thinking ability test questions, student activity observation sheets, teacher ability observation sheets in managing learning, and student response questionnaires. The results showed that the blended learning learning model with the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) approach in class VIII-E of SMP Negeri 18 Surabaya was not effective because learning outcomes in students' critical thinking skills obtained an average N-Gain score of 0.28 is categorized as low. Although the other three aspects have met the effective criteria, it is indicated by the effectiveness of student activities in all meetings getting an average of 89.9% which is categorized as very strong, the effectiveness of the teacher's ability is on average 98.4% in the very good category, and student responses to learning show very positive response. This should affect student learning outcomes but in reality it does not affect it, this is because students are less able to recognize and formulate problems, have not been able to solve problems correctly using all SPLDV methods (elimination, substitution, and mixture). Abstract

Online learning or the application of e-learning is currently widely applied near all schools in Indonesia. One of the applications of e-learning is the use of LMS which is an integrated and comprehensive system and can be used as an e-learning platform. Meta-analysis was used in this study by examining several scientific studies in national journals. Meta-analysis is quantitative because it uses the calculation of numbers and statistics for practical purposes, namely to compile and extract information from so much data that is impossible with other methods. From several subjects that have been taken, it shows that the application of LMS is more effectively used at the high school education level than the junior high school education level. The application of LMS has the highest positive effect on blended learning methods among other methods. Then on the subject the type of LMS used. The effectiveness of the application of LMS in mathematics learning was found that the use of Schoology had a greater influence than other types of LMS.

Abstract

Based on the evaluation result on the course of linear algebra, the result of mathematics student’s learning outcome, faculty of teacher training and education, University of Muhammadiyah Surabaya, from 26 students indicate that 30,76 % of students complete learning and 69,24% did not complete the target with average value 55,60. Based on the student's opinion, the course of linear algebra was difficult because has a high difficulty level, the learning system uses direct learning, and it causes the boredom. Furthermore, the reference material does not support completely for linear algebra. Thus we need additional learning models, so the students do not get bored and difficult by direct learning model that we used. In this case, we use “The Cooperative Learning Type TPS” model with 4 Me module in order to help the student to be able to work and shared with their friend to find problem solutions so that the interaction among learners occurs and the learning process becomes more active. We use the classroom action research method in this research. Based on the result of the research, we can improve 30% student’s learning result, 21 % of student’s activity and 95 % positive student’s response.

Abstract

Ketrampilan berpikir kreatif merupakan salah satu komponen kecakapan yang harus dimiliki oleh setiap individu dalam menghadapi abad 21 atau permasalahan global yang ada dalam hidup ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan peningkatan ketrampilan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa PAUD FKIP UMSurabaya dalam Penyusunan Permasalahan Topik Penelitian. Pelaksanaan perkuliahan mata kuliah metode penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menerapkan model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian ini dilakukan pada mahasiswa PAUD FKIP UMSurabaya semester 5 pada mata kuliah Metode Penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan berdasarkan kenyataan di kelas yang alami oleh mahasiswa selama perkuliahan. Pengambilan data penelitian ini dilaksanakan melalui observasi, tes, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil analisis penelitian dapat disimpulkan terjadi peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa PAUD pada aspek fluency mengalami peningkatan 33% kreatif, 15% sangat kreatif, aspek fleksibility mengalami peningkatan 27% kreatif, aspek originality mengalami peningkatan kategori kreatif sebesar 33% dan aspek elaboration dengan peningkatan 33% pada kategori kreatif.
