Abstract

The processing process in industry does not only produce the main product but also produces residual production which is usually not used anymore and is called waste. Soybean aircraft waste is a of tempe production by 10% of the total amount of soybean aircraft waste. Environmental problems caused by waste and also the supply of imported feed at a fairly high price underlies researchers to make nutrient-rich feed products by utilizing soybean aircraft waste. The Research content contained in soybean aircraft waste in the form of energy is 306.48 kcal/kg, crude protein 14.45%, fat 3.15% and crude fiber 47.01% . The purpose of this study is to produce a produce a product that is expected to be a solution in reducing waste from the production of soybeans as an additive ]in feed processing. The Methods used in this study is a qualitative descriptive study. The Result in a this journal is additional feed product using soybean aircraft waste that provided benefits for increasing appetite, milk production and meat quality in livestock.

Abstract

Amylolytic bacteria have great genetic diversity with high enzymatic activity and have the expertise to break down starch into simpler materials and degrade organic substances in water. This study aims to determine the variety of types of amylolytic bacteria obtained and to see how the characterization of bacteria is isolated from the waters of Paris Tigaras Beach. Isolation of amylolytic bacteria from the waters of Paris Tigaras Beach was carried out using the spread plate method taken from the last dilution of 10-5. Isolates ST3 03 and ST3 04 showed amylolytic activity by showing a clear zone of 11.8 mm in isolates ST3 03 and 8.2 mm in isolates ST3 04. Characterization of isolates ST3 03 and ST3 04 was observed including Gram-positive bacteria with rod-shaped cells, that can produce catalase enzymes, ferment three types of sugars, and move (motil). From the results of observations of the morphology of bacterial colonies and cells, and biochemical tests, isolates of amylolytic bacteria ST3 03 and ST3 04 belong to the genus Bacillus.

Abstract

Abstract

The low ability of student learning outcomes is because teachers never manipulate the ability of learning outcomes, and many teachers still use conventional learning approaches. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the Group To Group Exchange method has no effect on student learning outcomes on environmental change in one of the Islamic high schools in Medan. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a Nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Data analysis of student learning outcomes used the ttest formula, with the help of SPSS version 25 data processing. Data analysis of student learning outcomes by calculating the average learning outcomes showed that the experimental class using the Group to Group Exchange method was higher than the control class. The prerequisite test proved that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous. The results of the calculation of the ttest test show that tcount is higher than ttable, so there is an influence so that it shows tcount > ttable then Ha2 is accepted. The results of this study indicate that there are influences and differences before and after the application of the Group to Group Exchange method on student learning outcomes on environmental change material in one of the Islamic high schools in Medan so that the findings obtained can be applied by teachers in carrying out learning, especially biology subjects.Abstrak Rendahnya kemampuan hasil belajar siswa disebabkan guru tidak pernah memperdayakan kemampuan hasil belajar dan masih banyak guru yang menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran konvensional. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adanya tidak pengaruh metode Group To Group Exchange terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi perubahan lingkungan di salah satu SMA Islam di Medan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi experiment dengan Nonequivalent pretest posttest control Group design. Analisis data hasil belajar peserta didik menggunakan rumus uji ttest, dengan bantuan pengolahan data SPSS versi 25. Analisis data hasil belajar peserta didik dengan hasil perhitungan rerata hasil belajar menunjukan kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan metode Group to Group Exchange lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol. Uji prasyarat terbukti data berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Hasil perhitungan uji ttest diperoleh bahwa thitung lebih tinggi dari ttabel, maka ada pengaruh sehingga menunjukan thitung > ttabel maka Ha2 diterima. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh dan perbedaan sebelum dan sesudah penerapan metode Group to Group Exchange terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi perubahan lingkungan di salah satu SMA Islam di Medan. Sehingga temuan yang diperoleh, dapat diterapkan oleh guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran khususnya mata pelajaran biologi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perencanaan dan strategi pelaksanaan dari implementasi pembelajaran biologi berbasis pendekatan saintifik terintegrasi Al-Quran dan Hadist di MAN 2 Deli Serdang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode dekskriptif. Subjek penelitian yaitu Guru biologi, Siswa, Wakil kepala sekolah. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu dengan cara wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa pedoman wawancara dan pedoman observasi yang sudah divalidasi oleh validator. Berdasarkan analisis data diketahui hasil penelitian bahwa implementasi pembelajaran biologi meliputi 2 proses yaitu perencanaan dan strategi pelaksanaan. Perencanaan berupa, guru menyiapkan silabus dan rancangan perencanaan pembelajaran (RPP), menyiapkan bahan materi, menentukan media pembelajaran. Pelaksanaan yaitu kegiatan pendahuluan, kegiatan inti, dan penutup pembelajaran. 1) Kegiatan pendahuluan berupa mengisi absensi, berdoa dan penyampaian tujuan pembelajaran di kelas, 2) kegiatan inti berupa penyampaian materi terintegrasi Al-Quran dan Hadist, dengan menerapkan pendekatan saintifik, 3) kegiatan penutup berupa penarikan kesimpulan dan pengayaan materi.

Abstract

Penyakit busuk batang dan layu Fusarium merupakan penyakit yang disebabkan oleh jamur patogen yaitu Sclerotium rolfsii dan Fusarium oxysporum. Pengendalian dilakukan dengan pemberian fungisida alami minyak atsiri daun ekor kucing yang ramah lingkungan serta mengandung senyawa flavonoid, saponin, dan tannin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas fungisida alami minyak atsiri daun ekor kucing terhadap pertumbuhan jamur Sclerotium rolfsii dan Fusarium oxysporum secara in – vitro. Metode yang digunakan dalam pembuatan minyak atsiri daun ekor kucing menggunakan metode destilasi uap, serta uji pada aktivitas antijamur menggunakan metode difusi cakram dengan konsentrasi sampel dan kontrol positif 2,5%, 5%, 7,5%, dan 10%, untuk pembuatan produk fungisida alami minyak atsiri daun ekor kucing menambahkan larutan Tween 80. Berdasarkan hasil uji menggunakan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) penelitian ini menunjukan adanya aktivitas antijamur fungisida alami minyak atsiri daun ekor kucing terhadap jamur Sclerotium roflsii dan Fusarium oxysporum dengan nilai signifikan p< 0.05. Hasil fungisida alami minyak atsiri daun ekor kucing menggunakan konsentrasi 2,5%, 5%, 7,5% dan 10% diperoleh hasil diameter zona hambat pada jamur Sclerotium roflsii yaitu 11,23, 7,6, 6,9 dan 6,0. Sedangkan hasil uji diameter zona hambat pada jamur Fusarium oxysporum 18,26, 19,96. 21,53 dan 22,53. Berdasarkan hasil dari rata – rata aktivitas antijamur zona hambat minyak atsiri daun ekor kucing dapat dijadikan sebagai fungisida alami terhadap jamur Sclerotium roflsii pada konsentrasi efektif 2,5%. Sedangkan jamur Fusarium oxysporum pada konsentrasi 2,5%. Abstract

Bakteri Bacillus subtilis dan Klebsiella pneumoniae merupakan bakteri yang tersebar di udara, air dan tanah yang dapat menyebabkan penyakit infeksi meningitis. Penggunaan disinfektan alami minyak atsiri daun ekor kucing (Acalypha hispida) yang mengandung senyawa antibakteri flavonoid dan tanin akan menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas disinfektan alami minyak atsiri daun ekor kucing (Acalypha hispida) terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri Bacillus subtilis dan Klebsiella pneumoniae secara In-Vitro. Hasil uji aktivitas disinfektan alami minyak atsiri daun ekor kucing (Acalypha hispida) menggunakan konsentrasi 2,5%, 5%, 7,5%, dan 10%, diperoleh hasil diameter zona hambat pada bakteri Bacillus subtilis yaitu 17,54, 14,13, 13,66, dan 11,7 sedangkan hasil uji diameter zona hambat pada bakteri Klebsiella pneumonia yaitu 19,00, 16,57, 14,47, dan 12,59. Berdasarkan hasil dari rata-rata aktivitas antibakteri zona hambat minyak atsiri daun ekor kucing (Acalypha hispida) dapat dijadikan sebagai disinfektan alami terhadap bakteri Bacillus subtilis pada konsentrasi efektif 5%, sedangkan bakteri Klebsiella pneumoniae pada konsentrasi efektif 7,5%. Abstract

This research aims to determine the additional concentration of date palm juice which can influence the quality of curd in terms of total LAB, pH value, antimicrobial activity and organoleptic characteristics including color, texture, aroma and taste. This research design used a Completely Randomized Design using 100ml of buffalo milk added with date juice, consisting of 4 treatments, namely P0 (without adding date juice), P1 (10%), P2 (15%), and P3 (20%). Research data was analyzed using ANOVA and Tukey's advanced test if there were differences in influence. The research results showed that Treatment P1 (10%) produced curd with the best characteristics in terms of total BAL 8.60×1011 CFU/ml, pH value 4.45, irradical inhibition zone formed with a diameter of 9.35 mm against Sterptococcus mutans. Meanwhile, in the organoleptic test, treatment P3 (20%) was the best curd chosen by the panelists including aroma 4.60 (liked very much), color 4.16 (liked very much), taste 4.40 (liked very much). However, in terms of texture, the panelists liked the curd treatment P0 (without adding date juice) 4.00 (liked). In conclusion, curd with the addition of date juice had a significantly different effect on total BAL, pH value, antimicrobial activity on Streptococcus mutans, aroma, texture and taste. However, there was no significant difference in color and antimicrobial activity for Candida albicans. Keywords: BAL, Curd, Dates

Abstract

An expert system is a computer system that analyzes knowledge, reasoning techniques in problem solving and also facts by following the abilities of an expert. In the expert system there are several methods to help solve the problem, one of which is the certainty factor method or certainty factor which will later be used to solve the problem of gastric acid disease. Because using this method can increase the confidence of an expert. This study aims to design an expert system that will be useful for the community because it can diagnose acid reflux disease or GERD. The design of an expert system is intended to facilitate performance when replacing experts by a project that cannot afford to pay more.

Abstract

Lime (Citrus aurantiifolia (Christm.) Swingle) is a plant that has medicinal properties. Lime peel contains alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, steroids/triterpenoids and essential oils. These compounds are known to have antibacterial activity. This study aims to determine whether lime peel extract has antibacterial activity against Streptococcus mutans and antifungal against Candida albicans. So that an effective inhibition zone will be obtained for the manufacture of mouthwash preparations using the agar diffusion method. The research method used is the experimental method. The experiment consisted of 3 repetitions with a concentration of 96% ethanol extract of lime peel 25%, 30%, 35%, 40%, 45%. Lime peel samples were taken purposively from Pasar 1 Rel, Terjun, Kecamatan Medan Marelan, North Sumatra. The results showed that lime peel extract provided an effective inhibition zone diameter at a concentration of 40% and 45% against Streptococcus mutans with a diameter of 14.07 mm and 14.4 mm at a concentration of 40% and 45% against the fungus Candida albicans with a diameter of 14. mm and 14.2 mm in mouthwash preparations of lime peel extract at FI concentration of 40% FII concentration of 45%, giving satisfactory results of inhibition zone diameter which is greater than 14 mm against Streptococcus mutans and Candida albicans. Lime peel can be formulated in the form of mouthwash preparations.
