Abstract

Youtube is one part of social networking that can create a very close interaction and communication relationship between its users. Inside the YouTube social media account, the account is created by people who basically want to be a part of YouTube content creators. Many people out there who like to play Youtube but do not have the channel account. YouTube channel accounts are made with a variety of content, there are accounts that specialize in making videos of one's daily life, specialist accounts for opinion videos related to issues that are currently hot, specialist accounts for motivational videos, specialist accounts for culinary videos, specialist accounts for videos prank videos and more. What will be the focus of the researcher in this study is the video titled "Saya Mualaf Bila" with views of 3.2 million to this day, views mean that is the frequency of a video is seen. This research method uses purposive sampling supported by Stuart Hall's reception theory. The video is 15 minutes 21 seconds length, in the video Deddy Corbuzer is talking to a religious leader known as Gus Miftah. Deddy Corbuzer talks about religious issues that are rife in Indonesia, causing divisions. The results of this study are the analysis of audience or viewers’ reception of the video message "Saya Mualaf Bila" on Deddy Courbuzier’s YouTube Channel account and the most dominant reception is the interpretation of opposition.

Abstract

The phenomenon of early marriage is a problem that often occurs and is considered normal by adolescents in Central Bengkulu district which is included in the category of the top three cases of early marriage in Bengkulu province in 2019. The purpose of this study was to determine the self-concept of teenagers marrying young with peers in Kertapati village. Homecoming. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The theory used is William Brooks (2017: 108), namely the factors that influence a person's self-concept. The results of the study show that the self-concept of adolescents who marry young with their peers is formed through their first view of themselves which assumes that they are ready to marry even though they are still young, this is evidenced by changes in attitudes that adjust their roles and status as married. Second, reactions and responses from other people can shape the self-concept of young married couples developing through the interaction of married couples with the community. The self-concept is formed from the learning process by understanding the reactions and responses of neighbors, village heads and BMA leaders so that married couples participate in socializing and participating in society. Third, the self-concept of young married couples formed from their roles as husband and wife in the household has an influence in the formation of a positive self-concept, this is also influenced by the role of parents, peers and the environment. So at first the self-concept of teenagers marrying young with peers is a negative self-concept, but it develops after marriage into a positive self-concept because they are able to solve their own problems and have participated in their environment.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the marketing strategy of tourism destination the Mas Harun Bastari Lake, Mujerejo Village, Rejang Lebong Regency. The results of the study using a SWOT analysis obtained IFAS values (Strength: 14.30, Weaknesses: 4.81). EFAS Value (Opportunity: 1.31, Treats: 1.08). In the SWOT diagram the values for Strength and Weaknesses are at 9.49 and the meeting point for Opportinity and Threats is at 0.23, this shows that they are in quadrant 1, which supports aggressive strategies, which is a very profitable situation, by taking advantage of opportunities and strengths there is. Marketing strategies for the Lake Mas Harun Bastari tourism destination, Mujerejo Village, Rejang Lebon g Regency that can be done are renovating the lake area, adding facilities such as fishing locations and outbound equipment for visitors, placing security personnel in the lake area, giving permission to the community who will conduct activities on location, making agro tourism that can be enjoyed by visitors at the lake location, making a unique arrangement in the lake area, which differentiates it from other tourist attractions, providing comfort for visitors while in the lake area, adding a playground around the lake area, placing personnel who are always maintain cleanliness of the location, make warning signs around the lake location and put up evacuation signs around the site in the event of a disaster.

Abstract

Watching movie is one of the communication activities. The messages that are found to be interpreted by the audience are known as ideologies. Nowadays, the patriarchal ideology in movies often creates criticism in society. This study examines the representation of gender discrimination and patriarchal culture on movie of Mulan 2020 using a qualitative descriptive method. The data analysis technique used the semiotics of Roland Barthes. The results of the research on movie of Mulan 2020 show the condition of Chinese society in the Tang dynasty, dominated by men and there are restrictions on women's movements. There are four forms of representation of gender discrimination. The results found are subordination, marginalization, stereotypes, and violence. Mulan's character is represented as having freedom which refers to existentialism feminism.

Abstract

The emergence of stereotypes about Islamophobia had influenced by the development of the mass media, which can convey the message that Islam is a strict religion and is synonymous with terrorism simultaneously throughout the world. The existence of news with the labeling of symbols embedded in Muslims had attached as an image of terrorists. This study aims to investigate how Islamic signs in society construct Islamophobia. This study uses a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques used were observation and in-depth interviews. The topics in this study were each three people from an urban and rural region in Bengkulu. The results show that the societal importance of Islamophobia had influenced by negative stereotypes regarding Islamic symbols. The forming process meaning develops in society itself based on direct experience, adaptation, and go by mass media. The created stereotypes lead to negative stigma, where both urban and rural communities experience Islamophobia and have negative perceptions when they see a community using Islamic symbols or attributes. However, some people have the opposite view that not all people or communities with Islamic signs are called terrorists or carriers of heretical teachings and are identical with violence because of the belief that Islam does not teach its people to commit violence against humans. So, it had concluded that Islamic symbols used by a community in certain activities could build a negative stereotype in most people about the Islamic religion that eventually creates Islamophobia in the community.

Abstract

The phenomenon of gender-based violence in the household is an interesting issue to study, one of which is polygamy. The research objective is to examine the processes and forms of verbal and nonverbal violence, front stage backstage in social interaction so that polygamy causes violence against women. The research was conducted because census data on polygamous wives experienced an increase in violence. The urgency of this to look at the psychosocial impacts of gender-based violence on the pattern of relations in the social system such as the economic impact. Ethnomethodology as a daily practice is classified as a qualitative research focuses on the actions of actors who are considered a norm. The results of the study found that the process of verbal and nonverbal violence occurred before and after polygamy. Forms of verbal violence include husbands arguing, always criticizing, threatening, ignoring the wife's presence, accusing and blaming with bad names, manipulating, embarrassing their wives, ridiculing, and insulting. His nonverbal violence was hitting and slapping. In the front stage, the wife looks strong, patient, and happy, while the backstage is the opposite. Polygamy causes violence against women because the practice of polygamy does not meet the requirements for polygamy either according to Islamic law and the polygamy law. The presence of regulations on polygamy is not fully binding and refers to the principle of marriage. The implication is that the rules on polygamy are considered not yet realized so it is necessary to review the Law on Polygamy and its derivatives.

Abstract

Latar Belakang : Perilaku masyarakat di masa pandemi Covid-19 salah satunya adalah semakin dekat dengan media digital sebagai alat yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk mendapatkan informasi apapun, di sisi lain, pandemi dapat menyebabkan perubahan perilaku yang berdampak pada gejolak sosial di tengah masyarakat. Tujuan : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk masyarakat Indonesia. Seluruh penelitian yang dibahas memiliki topik yang sama yaitu berkaitan dengan Fomo (Fear Of Missing Out). Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian pustaka dilakukan untuk membahas tentang literatur yang didapatkan, baik dari segi hasil atau gagasan yang bersifat academic oriented. Literatur ini bersifat analisis deskriptif yang disajikan  dalam bentuk penjelasan dan disusun melalui beberapa proses berdasarkan data yang mudah dipahami. Hasil : Kajian ini melalui proses pemilihan topik, pencarian sumber kajian, hasil analisis, diskusi, hingga mendapatkan kesimpulan. Dari 18 (delapan belas) literatur terbaru yang telah dikaji dapat disimpulkan bahwa  peningkatan sejumlah penggunaan media sosial selama pandemi diduga disebabkan karena adanya keinginan individu untuk dapat terhubung dengan orang lain. Fear of Missing Out melibatkan kecemasan dan dorongan yang kuat dalam menggunakan media sosial ketika sedang offline. Kesimpulan : Adanya hasrat untuk terus-menerus mengikuti kegiatan orang lain di media sosial dan ketika hal tersebut tidak terealisasikan, maka individu akan mengalami yang namanya gangguan kecemasan sosial, seperti kurang rasa percaya diri, merasa terhinakan, depresi, merasa sendirian dan dikucilkan karena tidak dapat berinteraksi dengan orang lain.

Abstract

The purpose of this researches is to find out the influence of watching Korean drama on teenagers’ interest in changing their styles. The purpose of this research is to find out if watching intensity can influence someone’s interest in changing styles. This research uses a quantitative with social approach. Data sources used in this research are 1) Primary data and 2) secondary data. Data are collected by using documents obtained from 1) library research, 2) field research. The result of this research shows that there are correlations and influences, the influence result is almost 80% means there is a close and significant relationship between intensity level with the will to change the style. This research result also shows that zero hypotheses (H0) are rejected and Hypothesis (Ha) is accepted means there is a correlation between intensity and correlation between someone’s will to change the styles. This research has practical implications that can help other researchers and can give pictures about the intensity of watching Korean Drama with interest in changing styles on teenagers.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the influence of uploading natural tourism photos on google maps on visiting behavior of domestic tourists by using quantitative research. Data are collected by using a questionnaire and spread that to respondents. In this research, there are two variables, free variable (x) photo upload, bound variable (Y) visiting behavior, and calculated by using SPSS 21.0. this research shows that photo upload influences the visiting behavior and from validity test, rcount rtable. This means all questions item in this research is valid. The correlation of rcount is 0,728 and higher than rtable, 0,334 means between X variable toward Y variable has positive and strong correlation means the higher number of uploads, visiting behavior will increase and can be obtained that the coefficient determination value which obtained is 0,530. It means the photo upload influence the visiting behavior for 53% while the rest 47% is influenced by other factors which are not to be researched in this research...

Abstract

Online Gender Based Violence (KBGO) is a form of gender injustice and discrimination that occurs in the online space. KBGO is very dangerous, because many online spaces do not have enough regulations to protect someone from this type of violence. This study aims to determine online gender-based violence through online sexual harassment (Cyber Sexual Harassment) on Twitter. This study uses the theory of CMC (Computer Mediated Communication), and the type of research used is qualitative research using netnography methods. The results of this study indicate that there are six categories of cyber sexual harassment, the first is direct threats of sexual or physical violence which are all attempts, both physical and verbal, that lead to sexuality or sexual organs of a person without obtaining consent and having elements or threats. Second, online harassment is an act of sexual harassment through unwanted messages, attention and contact or things that intend to embarrass the victim. Third, harsh comments are w negative words that can even be read or shared by otherswithout censorship. The four utterances of sex hatred are acts of inviting and even spreading untruths of news which makes it possible to influence other people on social media to influence other people regarding the act of spreading negative content. The fifth is victim blaming, namely the perpetrator tries to make the victim feel continuous negative attacks on social media and the sixth is the use of indecent images is an act of spreading inappropriate things that should not be shared on social media, especially Twitter. In this study, the researcher suggests that Twitter social media users should limit and stop sharing things that are cyber sexual harassment and the researcher also hopes that this study can become a reference in the future and can be of benefit to society and social media users to increase knowledge, regarding online gender-based violence education on social media Twitter
