Abstract

The purpose of the research is providing an analysis on the economic opportunities that can be generated through the implementation of an integrated and well organized solid waste management in order to increase the economic value of garbage from the level of household, small, and medium industry to give positive impact due to the increased prosperity for the community in urban areas, especially the poor. The research employed survey method to identify the fundamental problems at the level of households and industries, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions to find strategic steps and practices in implementing integrated waste management which based on partnerships to overcome urban poverty. The results of this study indicated that the economic value of organic waste is Rp. 193, 952, 422 ($14,841.80) per year and Rp. 223, 142, 710 ($17,077.86) per year for inorganic waste. This potential should be properly managed through synergizing the existing waste management agencies such as the Department of Public Cleanliness and the Waste Bank of Malang city. The synergy on waste management should be made up to the lowest level in public institutions that is housewives association, because the role of housewife is very important in the success of waste management. Thus, the funds collected from the optimization of waste management can be used as business capital to help low income working families in Malang city.

Abstract

This study attempts to see how much the work environment, learning management, and teaching activities influence teacher performance in SMK Telkom Malang. Using a descriptive correlational research design method, in which the goal of the study is to characterize the existing variables before looking for relationships between them. The total respondent of this research was 75 teachers and academic support personnel, it is clear that the work environment and learning management have a significant impact on teacher performance. The efficiency of teaching activities, on the other hand, mediates the work environment and learning management and has a major impact on teacher performance.

Abstract

This study proposes the factors that influence employees‘ career success in the manufacturing industry, the factors are mentoring, soft skills, and Self-efficacy. The research was carried out to examine employers’ opinions regarding the importance of mentoring, soft skills, and Self-efficacy in Batam. Data analysis use multiple regression and 100 respondent. Results show that Mentoring and Self-efficacy were not significantly related to career success. Only Soft skill (English, information technology, communication, and leadership) was significantly related to a successful career.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and examine the role of employees' wellbeing in mediating the effect of work stress and job insecurity on the performance of health workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is an explanatory research with data collection methods using survey methods through distributing questionnaires. Respondents in this study were 187 health workers who worked in a hospital in East Java, Indonesia. Data analysis using Partial Least Square.The results showed that work stress had a negative and insignificant effect on the performance of health workers, job insecurity had a negative and significant effect on the performance of health workers, while employees' wellbeing had a positive and significant effect on the performance of health workers. Job stress has a negative but not significant effect on employees' wellbeing and job insecurity has a negative and significant effect on employees' wellbeing. The results of testing the indirect effect show that employees' wellbeing is not able to mediate the effect of work stress on the performance of health workers in a negative and insignificant way, while the effect of job insecurity on the performance of health workers' employees' wellbeing is able to mediate negatively and significantly

Abstract

Research Originality: Human development is a complex issue faced by various countries worldwide. Technology is considered to have the potential to significantly impact the landscape of human development due to its potential for penetration. This research contributes to the development literature in Indonesia by focusing on the important aspects of the influence of socio-economic factors and technological capabilities on the quality of human development.Research Objectives: This research aims to analyse how socio-economic and technological capabilities influence the quality of human development in Indonesia.Research Methods: Using panel data from 34 provinces spanning the period from 2015 to 2022, the research employs a Panel Data Regression Analysis model with the best-fitted Fixed Effect model.Empirical Results: The results of this study indicate that socio-economic factors, as seen through unemployment and poverty, significantly negatively impact Indonesia's Human Development Index (HDI). Economic growth has an insignificant effect on Indonesia's HDI. Technological capabilities, measured through the ICT Development Index, and the proportion of adolescents and adults aged 15-59 with ICT skills, have a significantly positive impact on Indonesia's HDI.Implications: The results of this research identify factors that can either encourage or hinder HDI, offering valuable insights for government policymakers to enhance HDI in Indonesia, particularly in each region.JEL Classification: O15, O30, O47How to Cite:Setyowati, I. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of work environment and work motivation on the job satisfaction of employees of Perumda Air Tugu Tirta Malang City. This research uses explanatory research with a quantitative approach. The intended respondents were employees of Perumda Air Tugu Tirta Malang City, totaling 76 respondents who were obtained from distributing questionnaires as primary data. Data analysis techniques used the classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing using the SPSS version 26 computer program. The results showed that the work environment has a positive and significant influence on job satisfaction. Work motivation has a positive and significant influence on job satisfaction. Work environment and work motivation together have a significant influence on job satisfaction.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of work experience and training on employee performance and determine the effect of work experience and training on employee performance through career development as moderating. This type of research uses a quantitative approach method. The population and sample in this study are all employees of PT Rapindo Plastama. Data were taken from a sample of 45 respondents taken by saturated sampling or census techniques. Data collection using questionnaire techniques. The techniques used in data analysis use path analysis and the SPSS 26 program. The results showed that there was a positive and significant influence between work experience and training on employee performance and there was a moderating influence between work experience and training on employee performance through career development.

Abstract

Travel Cost Method adalah suatu cara untuk mengestimasi kerelaan membayar individu pengunjung untuk jasa-jasa sumber daya alam dan lingkungan. Valuasi Ekonomi adalah suatu proses mengestimasi nilai moneter dari barang dan jasa yang diberikan oleh suatu tempat atas manfaat yang diberikan. Nilai Ekonomi adalah pengukuran jumlah maksimum individu mengorbankan barang dan jasa untuk memperoleh barang jasa yang lain. Hal itu disebut keinginan membayar (willingness to pay ) terhadap barang dan jasa yang dihasilkan dari sumber daya alam dan lingkungan.Nilai ekonomi Taman Rekreasi Sengkaling sebesar Rp2.113.841.500.000.  Dengan nilai akuisisi future value tahun 2022 sebesar Rp359.291.248.095, Taman Rekreasi Sengkaling memiliki nilai potensi lebih besar yaitu sebesar Rp2.113.841.500.000. Maka nilai pembelian Taman Rekreasi Sengkaling oleh pihak Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang dari PT. Bentoel Group di bawah nilai ekonomi atau nilai potensinya.

Abstract

Jawa Timur Park 1 or better known as Jatim Park 1 is a place for recreation and learning established by PT. Bunga Wangsa Sejati which has been open since 2001. Jatim Park 1 which was established in Batu City, East Java is one of the famous Batu City tourist destinations. As an industry and of course, the quality of Jawa Timur Park 1 services is highly valued not only from the rides offered, but also from the service of the employees who are kept. The purpose of the discussion in this research is to determine the effect of transformational leadership and work motivation on performance through job satisfaction. The data collection method in this study used a questionnaire with data analysis techniques using SmartPLS. The results show that transformational leadership and work motivation affect employee performance, and job satisfaction mediates the effect of transformational leadership and work motivation on employee performance.

Abstract

The research aimed to analyze and test the role of employees' well-being in mediating the effect of work stress and job insecurity on the performance of health workers at RSU Anwar Medika – Sidoarjo during the COVID-19 pandemic. Explanatory research is a type of research used with a quantitative approach and data collection methods using survey methods Types of research using explanatory research types survey methods by giving questionnaires to 187 health workers as respondents. The SEM-PLS method is used in data analysis and testing with the help of the SmartPLS 3 application program. The results of direct tests are known that work stress has an insignificant negative influence on the performance of health workers, job insecurity has a negative and significant effect on the performance of health workers, and employees' well-being has a positive and significant effect on the performance of health workers. Work stress has a negative and significant effect on employees' well-being, and job insecurity has a negative and significant effect. The results of indirect influence testing with the results that employees' well-being is unable to mediate the effect of work stress on the performance of health workers negatively and insignificantly, while the effect of job insecurity on the performance of health workers employees' well-being can mediate negatively and significantly.
