Abstract

This research aims to describe non-Arabic languages in the Qur’an according to the scholars who agreed on mu'arrab namely as-Suyuti, Ibn al-Subki and al-Khafiz Ibn Hajar and to reveal the meaning of the word including ta’rîb in the Qur’an. It uses library research method and descriptive qualitative technique analysis with structural, historical, and ideological approaches for the data analysis technique. The results of the study show that: 1) Factors which influence the occurrence of ta’rîb in Arabic especially in the Qur’an are the historical factors, namely geographical proximity, trading relations, immigration, political power, religious tendencies, culture, economy, and industry with other nations. 2) Arabic grows and develops with its closest Semitic languages, such as Habsyah, Aramiah and Akadiah so it will indirectly lead into language and cultural shift. 3) In as-Suyutimadhzab, including Ibn al-Subki, and al-Khafiz Ibn Hajar, believe in the existence of mu'arrab and ta’rîb in the Qur'an, so he collected around 125 non-Arabic words in the Qur'an which consists of 13 languages, including Persian, Habsyah, Hebrew, Suryaniyah, Nabathea, Berber, Zinjiyah, Jewish, Roman, Indian, Saizalah, Turkish and Magrib which are distributed in 41 surahs of the Qur’an.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop speaking skills teaching materials for anthropology-based tourism in the Arabic Language and Literature Department, Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University Malang; This study used Research and Development adapted from the Borg and Gall development model. The data were collected using the following instruments: interviews, participatory observation, questionnaires, and tests. The techniques of data analysis included qualitative and statistical descriptive.  The results of this study were the availability of speaking skills teaching materials developed for anthropology based tourism in the Arabic Language and Literature Department, Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University Malang in the form of a textbook, entitled: “Al Arabiyyah li As Siyaahah: Ta`lim Maharah Al Kalam li As Siyaahah ála Asas Antropologi.” This textbook consists of 3 main sections: introduction, learning materials, and closing; As for the opinion of students, this product is good because it can contribute to increasing student enthusiasm and learning outcomes; and the T-test with SPSS shows that the average score of students on the posttest was higher than the pretest and statistically shows a significant increase.

Abstract

This study aims at finding out non-Arabic vocabulary in the Qur'an and the perspectives of one of the most authoritative classical Qur’anic scholar, Imām as-Suyūtī on the discourse. Although the Qur'an was revealed to all mankind, the language it employs is Arabic. Even so, there are so many (perceived) non-Arabic vocabularies used in conveying the messages of the Almighty. This phenomenon has attracted the attentions of researchers to study the non-Arabic vocabularies used by the Qur’an which is called muʻarrab. The taʻrīb, the word from which muʻarrab is derived, refers to a process of formation of words in Arabic after being transferred from foreign languages. The contact the Arabs made with other people in the past can explain the emergence of muʻarrab. Amongst these people were the Persians, the Africans, the Romans, the Syrians, the Nabataeas, and others. With the contact (iḥtikāk), the Arabs found some new commodities they did not pose. They transferred new unavailable words into Arabic with some adjustments. This language phenomenon is reflected in the Qur’ān, as is confessed by as-Suyūṭī in the findings of this reseach.

Abstract

Video song media was a medium that presents material in the form of text and images as well as monologue sound about the material so that students can watch and listen to videos in the learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the video song media in increasing understanding of Arabic vocabulary. This research was a quantitative research. This research was conducted at SD Muahmmadiyah 8 KH Mas Mansur Malang. The subjects taken from this study were the VA class, which amounted to 25 students from a population of 79 students using purposive sampling technique. In this study, data collection techniques were carried out in the form of interviews, questionnaires, tests and documentation. The instrument used in the interview is the interview sheet, while the questionnaire instrument sheet is a questionnaire sheet consisting of several questions related to the video song media, the instrument sheet used in the test is a test question in the form of an interactive online game, the tests used are pretest and posttest. To find out the results of the data in this study the researcher used the T test for the related sample, while to determine the effectiveness of the video media, the researcher used the N-gain formula. The collected research data is presented with descriptive statistics in the calculation of processing using SPSS 20.               As for the results and testing of the hypothesis, "the video song media was effective for improving understanding of Arabic vocabulary. This is evidenced by the results obtained from the pre-test value which is smaller than the post-test value or 85.08 <93.20. Based on the output table "Paired Samples Test" it is known that the Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000 <0.05, meaning that the video song media can improve the understanding of Arabic vocabulary for the fifth grade students of SD Muhammadiyah 8 KH Mas Mansur Malang

Abstract

The research aims to discuss the motivation of students (Case Study) in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTs.N) 1 Malang, Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTs.N) Batu,  Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs.) Surya Buana Malang unfortunate to learning Arabic. The methodology used by the researchers in this study is a quantitative method. As for the results of the students' responses to three aspects, namely cognitive, effective and concentration aspects through filling in student motivation questionnaires, interviews, and observations in learning Arabic as a whole of MTs.N Batu 2.76%, that can be grouped into medium. Then aspects of the student's interest in learning Arabic are overall average in MTs.N 1 Malang 2.71% so that the poor can be grouped in category medium, and aspects of the student's interest in learning Arabic as a whole on average in MTs. Surya Buana are 2.67% so it can be grouped in group Medium. Based on the analysis of data that has been discussed that the interest of students in MTs.N 1 Malang, MTs.N Batu, MTs. Surya Buana are classified into group Medium.

Abstract

Online and offline learning practices must not ignore pedagogy, psychology, technology, instructional content, and other aspects of teaching and learning process. Instructional content needs more attention during and after Covid-19 pandemic because it must match the characteristics of students. Therefore, this problem has led to the development of mE-Book for Arabic learning in Canvas Learning Management System (LMS). This research aimed to investigate the effectiveness of mE-Book as instructional content for Arabic language learning in Canvas LMS and the extent of mE-Book acceptance by students in the framework of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) 3. This research used a nonrandomized control group pretest-posttest design by comparing two groups with and without mE-Book and the interview to know the students’ point of view about mE-Book. The results showed that mE-Book was effective as instructional content for Arabic language learning in Canvas LMS with large effect based on effect size criteria. Students’ perspectives showed that the use of mE-Book as instructional content for Arabic language learning in Canvas LMS is interesting for online and offline learning. In conclusion, students could accept mE-Book in learning activity in Canvas LMS because it eased students in Arabic language learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this devotional activity is to provide assistance to the people of Malang Raya, especially the congregation of Ahmad Dahlan Karangploso Mosque in improving the ability to read musykilatul Qira'at in Reading the Qur'an according to imam hafs ashim history. The method of devotion with lectures and practice directly. The lecture method contains socialization to the community about qiro'at musykilatul. While the training is used by practicing directly the readings or verses that include Musykilatul verses according to the imam hafs. Stages of service implementation; (1) socialization for the delivery of materials to participants, (2) Implementation of musykilatul verse practices. (3) evaluation of activities. The output of this activity is the ability to read musykilatul verses of imam hafs properly.  The service program was held on July 20, 2020 at masjid KH. Ahmad Dahlan Karangploso. Participants who attended the event were about 25 people. The results of this devotional activity show that the community has a high motivation in learning the Qur'an and understanding the reading of musykilatul verses of imam hafs, as well as being able to practice the reading well and correctly which is shown by the ability to answer questions about musykilat verses.

Abstract

This study aims to determine service accountability to community satisfaction at the Dua Pitue District Office, Sidenreng Rappang Regency and to determine the factors influencing service accountability to community satisfaction at the Dua Pitue District Office, Sidenreng Rappang Regency. The data collection techniques used in this study were (1) observation, (2) interviews, (3) questionnaires, (4) document review. The collected data is then analyzed through frequency and percentage tables. The population of this study is the community as many as 61 people. The results showed that the Service Accountability used for community satisfaction at the Dua Pitue District Office, Sidenreng Rappang Regency, namely the service accountability indicator was considered very good, namely 78.67%, the community satisfaction indicator was considered quite good, namely 72.87%. the influence of service ethics in the fairly good category is 73.75%, the parentalism culture in the very good category with a percentage of 76.5%, and the influence of public control in the quite good category, which is 65%.

Abstract

PurposeThis study examined the Majaz Isti'arah contained in the Qurán Surah (Q.S) Al-Baqarah according to the Perspective of Balaghah Science. Majaz isti'arah wasa part of the majaz lughawi which discussed the use of a word that was not in its real sense.MethodThe study relied on verbal data in the form of Quranic verses taken from Q.S Al-Baqarah through carefully reading to identify Majaz isti'arah. The identified Majaz isti'arah were qualitatively in accordance with Balaghah science perspective. It was done by balaghah scholars to get the most appropriate interpretation.Results/FindingsThe study found out that in Q.S. Al-Baqarah has 19 verses of Majaz Isti'arah. They were distributed into Majaz Isti'arah tasrihiyah with nine verses, namely Q.S. Al-Baqarah (2): 7, 16, 41, 49, 138, 143, 168, 175, 187, and Isti'arah makniyah with nine verses, namely Q.S. Al-Baqarah (2): 9, 27, 74, 81, 93, 250, 256, 257, 259; Isti'arah thaba'iyyah there with 15 verses, namely In Q.S. AlBaqarah (2): 7, 16, 27, 41, 49, 74, 81, 93, 143, 168, 175, 187, 250, 257, 259; Isti'arah Tamstsiliyah, with two verses, namely, Q.S. Al-Baqarah (2): 138, 266; and Isti'arah ashliyah with two verses, namely Q.S. Al-Baqarah (2): 138, 256.ConclusionThe data illustrates the existence of the isti'arah majaz which cannot be separated in understanding the Qur'an in particular. Q.S. Al-Baqarah. Therefore, this study suggests the need to explore the science of balaghah and further research on other suras in the Qur'an.

Abstract

Penerapan pola Nabr dan Tangim dalam meningkatkan  memampuan maharah al-Kalam Mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab  Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa Arab  mahasiswa dengan menggunakan Nabr (Tekanan), dan Tangim (Intonasi) yang sesuai dengan situasi dan kondisi. Salah satu pemanfaatan juga  adalah dapat membantu mahasiswa dalam memahami mata kuliah maharah al-kalam dalam waktu yang singkat. Metode pelaksanaan pendampingan diawali dengan Sosialisasi dengan mahasiswa. Tahapan selanjutnya ialah penyusunan handout Nabr dan Tangim. Tahap pelaksanaan pelatihan dilaksanakan selama 5 (lima) kali pertemuan. Selanjutnya, evaluasi akhir akan dilaksanakan kepada peserta pendampingan dalam bentuk Praktek. Tahap akhir yaitu analisis keterlaksanaan pendampingan .  Hasil Pengabdian yang dilaksanakan oleh  pengusul bahwa sekitar 30 Mahasiswa mampu berbicara bahasa Arab dengan baik dan benar yang sesuai dengan situasi dan kondisi.The application of Nabr and Tangim patterns in improving the ability of maharah al-Kalam Students of Arabic Language Education Program of Muhammadiyah University of Malang aims to improve students' Arabic language skills in accordance with the situation and conditions. One of the uses is also to help students in understanding the course maharah al-kalam in a short time.The method of implementation of mentoring begins with Socialization with students. The next stage is the preparation of Nabr and Tangim handouts. The training stage is held for 10 (three) meetings. Furthermore, the final evaluation will be conducted to the participants in the form of practice. The final stage is the analysis of the implementation of mentoring.  The results of the devotion carried out by the author that about 30 students are able to speak Arabic well and correctly in accordance with the situation and conditions.
