Abstract

Diarrhea disease in Indonesia is still one of the endemic diseases and still often causes extraordinary events (outbreaks) in the community. This study aimed to study the relationship between the application of Germas (Community Movement) hands washing with running water and soap simultaneously with the occurrence of diarrhea in SDN 108 students in Seluma Regency. The type of research used was Analytical Survey using Cross Sectional design.. Samples  of  this study were 167 students in grades 4, 5, and 6 of  SDN 108 Seluma Regency. Sampling in this study used a Total Sampling technique. Data collection techniques in this study using primary data by interview using a questionnaire. The statistical test used is Chi-Square. The results showed that of 167 students, there were 113 students (67.7%) who did not experience diarrhea, 123 students (73.7%) had poor hands washing with and running water and soap, and there was a relationship between hands washing use soap and running water and soap with diarrhea. Keywords: diarrhea, germas,hands washing, soap

Abstract

Stress is a condition of physical and psychological stress due to the demands of the self and the environment. The many demands of the task and the scientific paper is a stressor that can cause stress for students. One method to overcome the stress that is with music therapy. This study aimed to determine differences in stress levels before and after music therapy at the final stage of a student who made scientific paper at Sapta Bakti Health Academy Bengkulu. The sampling technique in this study was Purposive Sampling with the number of respondents 31 people. This type of study was pre-experiment which belong to the pre-test and post-test one group design. Analysis of statistical data used was the Wilcoxon Match Pairs Test. The data was collected at the time before and after therapy was given to classical music by using the DASS 42 Instrument developed by Lovibond and Lovibond was used as a stress gauge items. Based on this research, there were differences in stress levels of respondents before and after the therapy was given to classical music. From the results of Wilcoxon test for levels of stress before and after therapy to classical music both obtained significance value of 0.000 which was smaller than α = 0.05. The difference could be seen was the decline in the number of respondents prior to the classical music therapy on stress levels of students was 8 people students (26%) experienced severe stress, 8 students (26%) experienced mild stress, and 15 students (48%) experienced stress is. Meanwhile, after the classical music therapy decreased stress levels, as many as 2 students (7%) experienced mild stress, 11 were students (35%) became normal, 8 students (26%) experienced mild stress and 10 students (32% ) are stressed. Based on this research was expected to provide inputs to the nurses and educational institutions, and other research so that it can cope with stress in college students. Keywords: classical music therapy, stress levels, scientific paper

Abstract

In Indonesia an estimated incidence rate of severe mental retardation approximately 0,3% of the entire population, and almost 3% had an IQ value below 70. As a human resources they can not be used, because 0,1% of these children require care, guidance and supervision throughout his life. Because unknown children level of independence in activities of daily living based on the degree of mental retardation then he study was aimed to know the relationship of the degree of mental retardation and ability of daily living activities. This study used cross sectional design. The population was 37 people with using total sampling, then using secondary and primary data are processed in a univariabel and bivariabel. This study was conducted in 2017 at SLB Bengkulu Province.                The results showed that most of the 37,8% has a severe degree of mental retardation, and most of the 51,4% children with mental retardation have an inability to carry out activity of  daily living. The results of bivariabel analysis by chi-square test found that p=0,005, a significant relationship between the degree of mental retardation and  ability of daily living activities. In addition to special education in school children with mental retardation should also be trained and guided by parents in carry out activities of daily living to be independent and adapt to daily life without assistance. Keywords : ADL, children, degree  of  mental retardation
