Abstract

Current elementary education, the first decade of the 21st century, is faced with a global challenge where the pattern of people's lives is changing very rapidly, fueled mainly by the development of information technology and global challenges. Devotion to the community is offered to solve the problems faced by a group of elementary school teachers Petemon, Sawahan, Surabaya. Seeing the problem of partner of implementation method offered in dedication to solve the problems faced by teacher group of SDN Patemon IX are (1) Training of applying of learning model of Student Center Learning on Mathematics, Biology and Bahasa Indonesia subjects to SDN Patemon IX, (2) Evaluation of training result of SCL instructional model implementation in Mathematics, Biology and Bahasa Indonesia subjects to teachers of SDN Patemon IX, (3) Review and Assistance in the preparation of fourth-, fourth and fourth-grade thematic RPP, (4) Assistance in Implementation of RPP in Thematic Class IV, V and VI learning, (5) Evaluation of compilation result and Assistance of implementation of RPP in thematic learning of class IV, V and VI. Proposal method to solve the problem that has been formulated is divided into three stages: preparation, implementation and reflection. Strengthening teacher's ability in developing thematic learning tool based on Student Center Learning (SCL) at SDN PATEMON IX Surabaya, get very positive response shown from Reflection result at end of mentoring. To design a mentoring program that suits the training needs some things are needed in designing the mentoring.

Abstract

Cattle farming in Indonesia is still concerned with livestock productivity and has not maximized the utilization of cow dung waste (teletong) of economic value. The waste of cow dung (teletong) produced should no longer be a burden of business costs but a result of having high economic value and if possible equivalent to the economic value of the main product (meat). The purpose of this research is to study the utilization of cow dung into organic fertilizer that support the business of fattening beef cattle. The method used in this research is descriptive method with data collection method of observation and interviews of livestock farmer group and supported by literature study. Based on the results of observations and interviews obtained the results that members of Livestock Farmers Group Jaya already utilize and manage the waste of cow dung into organic fertilizer with economic value to sell to members for agricultural land fertilizer rice, watermelon and cantaloupe. The reason for the use of cow dung as fertilizer is usually because the goods are easy to obtain, relatively cheap and give better results.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran pada Mata Kuliah Kimia Organik Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Muhammadiyah Surabaya Semester Genap tahun 2013/2014. Implementasi LS dilakukandalam 4 siklus dengan tahapan pada setiap siklus meliputi kegiatan perencanaan (plan), pelaksanaan (do), dan pengamatan serta refleksi (see). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) Hasil belajar ada pada kriteria baik yaitu memiliki kompetensi aspek kognitif denganporsi tingkat tinggi lebih banyak (e” 60%) dengan ketuntasan belajar lebih dari 75%; (2) Aktivitas mahasiswa telah mengalami pengembangan baik aktivitas dalam mengembangkan karakterberani dan kompetensi kerjasama mahasiswa. Kesimpulan dari hasilpenelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kualitas pembelajaran mata kuliah kimia organik melalui lesson study sudah sangat baik berdasarkan aspek kompetensi kognitif dan aktivitas pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research is to analyze the linkage of financial literacy of salt farmers to people's salt production with land, volume, capital sources, market access. Financial literacy is the ability of farmers in understanding various types of financial products/services from the financial industry and able to use. The production of people's salt business (Kugar) has an important contribution to indonesia's national salt production. The quality of people's salt has not been able to meet domestic demand, especially industrial salt. That's what drives salt imports. Research object 7(seven)locations in Cirebon-West Java. Kapetakan, Suranenggala, Gunungjati, Mundu, Losari, Pangenan and Gebang. This region was chosen because it represents the highest salt products in West Java. Descriptive methods, expalanatory, pusposive sampling techniques. Interview and using secondary data from the Marine and Fisheries Service, Central Bureau of Statistics, people's salt business group (kugar), Ministry of Industry and Trade. The results of the study; Financial literacy is still very low. Productivity is also low. 2019 highest disposable salt production 136,695ton, down 2020 only 2,670.78ton. Production costs borrowed by financiers (collectors) from Rp500,000 to Rp1,000,000 with a revenue sharing system. The selling price of salt from farmers to financiers is below the market price between Rp250/kg, Rp300/kg is the highest Rp500/kg. Price of salt from financier to industry Rp1,200/kg, Rp1,500/kg to Rp2,000/kg. Price, market access and capital, salt farmers depend on financiers. Weak financial literacy understanding. The profit of salt is enough for the cost of living. Limited asset deposits in gold, cows, motorcycles. 74 percent of workers. It doesn't have a financial services product. Only know the cooperative and the loan from the collector.

Abstract

Formalin is not a preservative for foodstuffs and processed products.  But until recently, the use of formaldehyde in foodstuffs is still common. Whereas, nutrition and food security education for the community is still lacking.This study aimed to: (a) obtaining community about the use of formaldehyde in foodstuffs views of knowledge, attitude and behavior, and (2) obtaining community about the implementation of nutrition and food security education. Research using a sample survey method Sidoarjo urban communities with accidental sampling technique. Data collected by questionnaire and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that (1) almost all respondents knew there was food berformalin (90.91%); (2) examine the impact hazard (87.88%); (3) most feel uneasy (75.76%) and fear dangers affected (96.97%); (4) almost all respondents agreed formalin banned as a food preservative (90.91%), (5) most respondents (72.73%) has not made efforts to eliminate the formaldehyde in foodstuffs , and (6) almost all respondents (85.86%) Mersa not get enough nutrition education and food security. Conclusion: The public assumes that (1) the use of formalin in the food injurious to health and safety of consumers, (2) people need nutrition and food safety education are adequate. Kata Kunci:     persepsi,  formalin, bahan makanan, pendidikan,  gizi dan keamanan pangan

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan model pembelajaran OSCAR yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk melatih penalaran siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model  dari Plomp yang terdiri dari 5 fase, yaitu (1) investigasi awal, (2) desain, (3)realisasi,(4) tes, evaluasi, dan revisi, serta (5) implementasi. Subyek penelitiannya adalah guru matematika dan siswa-siswi kelas V SD tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan September 2017 sampai April 2018 di SD Muhammadiyah 5, SD Islam Maryam, SD Islam Saroja, dan SD Negeri Sidotopo Wetan I. Semua sekolah berlokasi di Kota Surabaya. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket, lembar observasi dan masalah matematika. Selain mengembangkan model pembelajaran, perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan adalah RPP, LKS, dan bahan ajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran OSCAR yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh perolehan nilai rata-rata validitas sebesar 3,32 yang menunjukkan kriteria valid. Aspek kepraktisan ditunjukkan oleh pernyataan para validator bahwa model pembelajaran OSCAR dapat dilaksanakan di lapangan. Aspek efektif ditunjukkan oleh nilai rata-rata keterlaksanaan proses pembelajaran sebesar 3,56 termasuk kategori sangat baik; respon siswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran OSCAR 68% menyatakan senang, 78% menganggap baru, seluruh siswa senang terhadap cara guru mengajar; rata-rata kemampuan penalaran siswa mengalami peningkatan, hal ini ditunjukkan oleh besarnya rata-rata nilai N-gain antara 0,35-0,43 dan termasuk kategori sedang.

Abstract

Abstract.Existing human resources must be prepared early. Indeed, national education aims to create intelligent and competitive generations. This research is oriented towards the influence of CAM, which is implemented in the learning process. This research method is quasi-experimental. The research design used a non-equivalent control group design. As a sample is XI grade in SMA Muhammadiyah 7 Surabaya. Data collection techniques through observation and tests, critical thinking skills test sheets and students' concept mastery tests. Descriptively, self-critical thinking skills are 100% completed classically. The results of the t-test have a significance value of ≤ 0.05, which is 0.000. Then for mastery of the concept from the results of the t-test, the significance value is ≤ 0.05, namely with a significance value of 0.000. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is an influence of CAM p on students' critical thinking skills and students' mastery of concepts.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pencerahan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam memecahkan kesulitan hidup yang dihadapi sehari-hari, terlebih kesulitan di masa Pandemi Covid-19 yang masih belum berakhir. Warga RW 04 Dukuh Setro Baru Kecamatan Tambaksari Kota Surabaya merupakan sasaran dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini, terutama Ibu-ibu Kelompok PKK. Alih teknologi yang diterapkan pada pengabdian ini adalah teknik bercocok tanam sistem hidroponik dengan modifikasi lebih sederhana dan lebih mudah bagi masyarakat. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian meliputi: (1) Penyuluhan, (2) pelatihan dan (3) Praktik.  Hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah setiap rumah warga RW 04 telah melaksanakan kegiatan bercocok tanam sayuran dan tanaman hias ala hidroponik dengan memanfaatkan limbah botol kemasan dan sabut kelapa. Kesimpulan bahwa pengabdian kepada masyarakat telah berhasil melakukan alih teknologi kepada warga dengan memanfaatkan limbah botol kemasan dan sabut kelapa menjadi produk lebih bernilai

Abstract

Penelitian tentang praktikum biologi pre-pandemi, pandemi, dan pos-pandemi covid-19 siswa SMA Swasta Kota Surabaya. Ada sedikit penelitian yang menjelaskan tentang perbedaan kondisi praktikum tersebut dengan membahas bagaimana dampaknya terhadap proses pembelajaran yang dialami oleh siswa. Ketika membahas dari kekosongan itu penelitian ini mencoba menggambarkan secara detail dari perbedaan kondisi tersebut bagaimana ketertarikan siswa dalam belajar melalui praktikum. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang berfokus pada analisis kritis tertentu secara fenomenologi. Data dikumpulkan melalui partisipan dari guru biologi SMA Swasta Kota Surabaya yang terdiri SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Surabaya, SMA Swasta Muhammadiyah 10 Surabaya dan SMA Swasta Muhammadiyah 3 Surabaya melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil Penelitian dapat diungkapkan bahwa pada proses pembelajarannya sebelum pandemi melakukan pembelajaran secara luring atau tatap muka, pada saat pandemi COVID-19 melakukan proses pembelajaran secara daring dan pada saat selesai pandemi proses pembelajarannya dilakukan secara Hybrid Learning melalui penggabungan antara pembelajaran offline dengan online. setiap sekolah memiliki karakteristik masing - masing sesuai dengan kebiasaan yang dilakukan disekolah yang menjadikan pendidikan sebagai wahana dalam mencerdaskan kehidupan anak bangasa. Kondisi sebelum pandemi dilakukan secara luring dan pada saat pandemi COVID-19 dilakukan secara daring dan pasca pandemi proses praktikumnya dilakukan secara hybrid learning dan full luring.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how students' problem-solving skills in the subject of animal body tissue and structure use the Jigsaw learning model. This type of research is quantitative research with a sample size of 70 students of the biology education study program. The research sample was taken from students who were normally distributed, had the same characteristics (homogeneous), and had the same average value. The data analysis technique uses simple linear regression. The results showed that there was a significant influence between the Jigsaw cooperative learning model in the animal tissue and body structure course on the problem-solving abilities of students in the biology education study program with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, so that the jigsaw learning model can help students improve problem-solving skills
