Abstract

Mystus nigriceps fish in the Kampar Kiri River mentulik village is a fish consumption community and economical value so often fishing that causes a decline in the population of this fish in nature. The study aimed to examine the maturity level of gonads and the fecundity of M. nigriceps fish. Fish samples are taken once a month from February-July 2021. The parameters measured include gonad maturity level (TKG), gonad maturity index (IKG), fecundity and egg diameter. The results showed that the gonad maturity levels of male and female fish were found at the TKG I-IV stage which was dominated by the most common female fish in July. The gonad maturity index of female M. nigriceps fish is greater than that of male fish. The fecundity of M. nigriceps ranges from 626-16,370 eggs with diameters ranging from 0.43-0.75 mm and has a spawning pattern that is a total spawner.Keywords: Mystus nigriceps; gonad maturity level; gonad maturity index; fecundity; egg diameter ABSTRAKIkan Mystus nigriceps di Sungai Kampar Kiri Desa Mentulik merupakan ikan konsumsi masyarakat dan bernilai ekonomis sehingga sering dilakukan penangkapan yang menyebabkan penurunan populasi ikan ini di alam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tingkat kematangan gonad dan fekunditas ikan M. nigriceps. Sampel ikan diambil satu kali sebulan dari bulan Februari-Juli 2021. Parameter yang diukur meliputi tingkat kematangan gonad (TKG), indeks kematangan gonad (IKG), fekunditas dan diameter telur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kematangan gonad ikan jantan dan betina ditemukan pada tahap TKG I-IV yang didominasi oleh ikan betina paling banyak dijumpai pada bulan Juli. Indeks kematangan gonad ikan M. nigriceps betina lebih besar dibandingkan ikan jantan. Fekunditas ikan M. nigriceps berkisar antara 626-16.370 butir telur dengan diameter berkisar antara 0,43-0,75 mm dan memiliki pola pemijahan yang bersifat total spawner.Kata Kunci:  Mystus nigriceps; tingkat kematangan gonad; indeks kematangan gonad; fekunditas; diameter telur

Abstract

The floodplain river in Riau is inhabited by various types of vertebrate animals including fish from the genus Ompok. The rapid development of species in the Ompok genus can cause ambiguity in species identity due to inaccurate identification processes. This research aims to analyze the molecular characteristics of two types of selais fish, namely danau selais fish (O. hypophthalmus) and kaporeh selais fish (O. eugeneiatus) from Riau based on 12S rRNA sequences. Methods included sampling of fishes from the Kampar, Tapung and Indragiri Rivers, the total DNA isolation, PCR, electrophoresis, sequencing and data analysis. In this study, the 12S rRNA DNA sequence of the selais fish studied was 939 bp in size. The sequences consisted of 803 bp of conserved sites (86.15%), 127 bp of variable sites (13.52%), 53 bp of parsimony sites (5.64%) and 73 bp of singleton sites (18.57%), with the composition of Adenine 31.7 %, Cytosine 26.9%, Thymine 20.9% and Guanine 20.4%. The average genetic distance between the two species was ±0.034, with the lowest genetic distance identified in the species O. hypophthalmus and O. eugeneiatus from the Indragiri River with a value of ±0.032, while the farthest genetic distance was identified in the species O. eugeneiatus from the Kampar River and the species C. gariepinus (Out group) with a value of ±0.092. Transition substitution (19.50%) occurs more frequently than transversion (10.94%). Phylogenetic reconstruction showed that the two species can be separated into distinct groups based on 12S rRNA sequences.

Abstract

Siak River is one of the main rivers in Riau Province which is a source of water for people living around it, both for household, fisheries, industrial and transportation purposes. In addition, the Siak River is also a habitat for various aquatic biota, one of which is fish species from the Bagridae family. This study aims to determine the number of fish species of the Bagridae family based on morphological characters in the waters of the Siak River, Riau Province. This research was conducted in December 2022-February 2023. The method used in this research is survey method. Identification of fish samples was carried out at the Zoology Laboratory, Department of Biology, Riau University. The results of the study found a total of 239 individuals from the Bagridae family consisting of 3 genus namely the genus Bagroides, Hemibagrus, Mystus, and 4 species namely Bagroides melapterus (29) individuals, Hemibagrus nemurus (143) individuals, Mystus nigriceps (55) individuals, and Mystus gulio (12) individuals. The most common Bagridae family fish species was Hemibagrus nemurus (60%), while the least common Bagridae family fish species was Mystus gulio (5%).

Abstract

The study aims to possibility of using morphometric characters to see differences between male and female fish Kryptopterus bicirrhis in Kampar river. This research was conducted in November 2018 – Maret 2019 using the survey method. The number of samples obtained was 60 Kryptopterus bicirrhis 30 male fish had a total length 113-155 mm and 30 female fish had a total length range 130-170 mm. Kryptopterus bicirrhis have most of the growth satus of positive allometric in male and female. Relationship between the total length and morphometric characters shows very weak, weak medium, strong, and very strong.

Abstract

Dopamine merupakan prekursor norepinefrin dan epinefrin. Dopamine berfungsi sebagai hormon, neurotransmitter dan mempunyai peran penting didalam tubuh dan otak. Kadar dopamine yang berlebih di dalam otak dapat menyebabkan seseorang kecanduan suatu hal yang dapat menghasilkan kesenangan sesaat. Hal ini mengakibatkan seseorang akan melakukan kegiatan yang kompulsif sehingga mengurangi produktivitas. Pengurangan kadar dopamine dapat dilakukan dengan metode dopamine detox. Salah satu contoh pemuda yang terdampak perilaku kompulsif adalah pemuda yang tergabung dalam organisasi Barisan Muda Riau (BMR). Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah membantu pemuda meningkatkan produktivitas dengan menerapkan Program Dopamine Detox (PDTox). Metode pelaksanaan diawali dengan sosialisasi, penyampaian materi, pendampingan dan monitoring PDTox secara berkala selama 70 hari. Hasil dari monitoring menunjukkan perubahan frekuensi bad habits peseta semakin menurun dan frekuensi good habits yang terbentuk mencapai garis kebiasaan sehingga good habits akan otomatis dilakukan peserta. Hasil progress ultimate goals peserta rata-rata mencapai 80% artinya good habits linier membentuk produktivitas yang efisien.

Abstract

Tapah fish (Wallago leerii) is a fish with high economic value in Riau Province. Molecular research on W. leerii is very important to do. This study aims to determine the molecular characteristics of W. leerii from Riau Province based on the Cytochrome b gene. The universal primer Cytochrome b is used for the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) process. The PCR result is a partial Cytochrome b gene with a length of 373 bp. Multiple alignments were performed on nucleotide sequences of the Cytochrome b gene of W. leerii from river of Tapung and Indragiri Riau with the cytochrome b gene of other fish from Genbank and analyzed using the MEGA program version 6.0. Phylogenetic construction using the Cytochrome b gene can distinguish W. leerii from river of Tapung and Indragiri Riau, with other species.Keywords:AlignmentsMolecularGenBank

Abstract

Sungai paparan banjir (floodplain river) merupakan salah satu ciri khas perairan tawar dari Provinsi Riau. Ikan Selais Bungkuk (Hemisilurus heterorhynchus) merupakan ikan air tawar yang bersifat demersal dan biasanya hidup di daerah tropis dengan sungai yang termasuk tipe sungai paparan banjir. H. heterorhynchussering ditangkap tanpa melihat ukuran sehingga ikan-ikan yang belum dewasa atau belum matang gonad juga ikut tertangkap. Apabila kondisi tersebut terus terjadi kemungkinan H. heterorhynchus akan mengalami penurunan populasi. Oleh sebab itu perlu adanya penelitian mengenai biologi reproduksi H. heterorhynchus untuk mengetahui perkembangan gonad, indeks kematangan gonad (IKG), diameter telur, fekunditas, hubungan fekunditas dengan panjang dan berat tubuh, musim pemijahan serta pola pemijahan ikan sehingga dapat dijadikan dasar upaya konservasi dan budidaya H. heterorhynchus. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dari bulan Oktober sampai bulan Maret di sungai Kampar Kiri. Ikan jantan dan betina matang gonad paling banyak ditemukan pada awal musim hujan di bulan Oktober dan November. IKG jantan tertinggi didapat pada bulan Oktober (0,24%) dan betina pada bulan November (2,80%).Fekunditas ikan H. heterorhynchus berkisar antara 6444-20654 butir. Pola pemijahan ikan H. heterorhynchus adalah sekali pemijahan dalam satu tahun (total spawner).

Abstract

Purpose: The service carried out aims to increase the role of the community in Libo Jaya Village, Kandis District, Riau Province in managing an integrated and economically valuable environment. This is motivated by the growth of the agricultural and plantation sectors in Indonesia, especially in Riau Province, which is driven by the wealth of natural resources, especially through oil palm planting Methodology: This community service uses a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches. Data was collected through surveys, interviews and participant observation to evaluate the program's impact on increasing community awareness and their involvement in environmental management efforts. Results: The results of the activities show that the ecoprint and ecoenzym Training Program has succeeded in increasing the role of society in environmental management. Through the application of environmentally friendly technologies such as ecoprint and ecoenzym, the people of Libo Jaya Village not only get economic benefits, but also become agents of change in preserving their environment. Conclusions: This activity has successfully enhanced the knowledge and skills of the local community. In line with community expectations, the level of public understanding of ecoprint and ecoenzyme has increased significantly by up to 55%. The achievements gained through this initiative mark a strong starting point for integrated and economical environmental management in a sustainable manner. Limitation: The number of participants in the service program was limited. This activity involved various elements of local society, especially housewives in Libo Jaya Village, Kandis District, Siak with a total participation of around 30 people. Contribution: This program also encourages collaboration between communities, local governments and the private sector in creating sustainable solutions to environmental problems.

Abstract

Sungai Siak termasuk salah satu sungai terbesar yang berada di Provinsi Riau yang melewati empat Kabupaten dan satu wilayah kota. Ikan baung (Hemibagrus nemurus) termasuk salah satu jenis ikan air tawar asli Indonesia yang memiliki potensi tinggi untuk dikembangkan dalam sektor budidaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui variasi morfometrik, pola pertumbuhan dan nisbah karakter morfometrik Ikan baung yang berada di Sungai Siak, Kabupaten Siak, Provinsi Riau. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2022 – Februari 2023. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode survei dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 120 ekor ikan dengan 60 ekor ikan jantan dan 60 ekor ikan betina di masing-masing lokasi penelitian. Hubungan panjang berat ikan baung di sungai Siak adalah allometrik positif dan negatif. Hasil penelitian ditemukan H. nemurus jantan di Kampung Langkai memilii kisaran panjang total 120-275 mm dan betina 110-245 mm, sedangkan kisaran H. nemurus jantan pada Kampung Buantan Besar 120-280 mm dan betina 120-350 mm. Hasil Uji t menunjukan terdapat satu karakter tidak berbeda nyata H. nemurus jantan di Kampung Langkai dan Buantan Besar yaitu karakter kedalaman batang ekor.
