Abstract

Internal quality assurance (IQA) in higher education institutions (HEIs) is believed to be the spearhead for accelerating the improvement of the quality of HEIs and the study programs within it. However, currently many HEIs are trapped in the formal implementation of IQA and does not reach its essence, so it does not have a real impact on the quality of the HEIs. Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta is one of the partners of the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology to devote itself by providing training and sharing good practices in implementing IQA to six HEIs with 31 study programs in 2024. This training aims to provide experience and insights for participants to become drivers of accelerating the implementation of IQA in their respective HEIs and study programs. The training was carried out in two stages in September and October 2024, each for two days, with materials covering IQA system development, IQA organization, IQA documents, and internal quality audits. This training went smoothly and effectively, as evidenced by the increase in participants' comprehension as measured by a pre-test and a post-test. After six months had passed, the indirect impact of this training was also seen in the accreditation of two participating HEIs that had unaccredited status during the training.

Abstract

Information technology services have been widely used in various agencies. This is done because information technology services help many business processes in an agency. Government agencies, companies, and education are examples of agencies that utilize information technology services to support their business processes. One educational institution that uses IT services to support its business processes is the UKDW library. The UKDW Library utilizes IT services for borrowing, returning, searching for books and journals, checking for plagiarism, and more. To further improve the quality of IT services, evaluating and developing them is necessary to better respond to business needs. In this study, researchers measured the maturity level of an IT service in the UKDW library. Researchers use the ITIL V3 framework in measuring maturity levels. This research focuses on the service operation domain and its five sub-domains (problem management, event management, incident management, access management, and request fulfillment). The final results of the study show that IT services in the UKDW library are at the managed level, which means that information technology services in the UKDW library have been planned and carried out routinely. There are standards for documentation, and process performance measurement has been implemented.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merinci permasalahan utama yang melibatkan kurangnya kepuasan dan pemanfaatan aplikasi SIDARLIN di Dinas Kependudukan dan Pencatatan Sipil (Disdukcapil) Kabupaten Sumba Timur. Masalah utama yang diidentifikasi mencakup kesalahan penggunaan aplikasi, keterbatasan perangkat, dan kekurangan sumber daya manusia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi sejauh mana efektivitas SIDARLIN digunakan oleh masyarakat dan Disdukcapil Kabupaten Sumba Timur dalam implementasi E-Government. Selain itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hambatan yang menghambat pemanfaatan aplikasi tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi literatur yang relevan dengan topik penelitian. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif untuk memberikan gambaran yang komprehensif tentang situasi yang dihadapi oleh SIDARLIN di tingkat lokal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan SIDARLIN di Disdukcapil Kabupaten Sumba Timur tidak memuaskan. Aplikasi ini tidak memberikan layanan publik sesuai harapan dan menghadapi sejumlah masalah, termasuk kesalahan penggunaan, keterbatasan perangkat, dan kekurangan sumber daya manusia. Berdasarkan data Disdukcapil, hanya sekitar 0.5% dari total penduduk yang menggunakan aplikasi SIDARLIN setiap tahun, mencerminkan adopsi yang rendah dan menunjukkan kekurangan yang signifikan dalam implementasi SIDARLIN. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menggarisbawahi urgensi perbaikan aplikasi SIDARLIN dan perlunya peningkatan pemahaman serta partisipasi masyarakat dalam mengadopsi layanan E-Government. Rekomendasi perbaikan teknis pada SIDARLIN, peningkatan pelatihan untuk pengguna dan staf Disdukcapil, serta kampanye penyuluhan kepada masyarakat dapat menjadi langkah-langkah konkret untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dan adopsi aplikasi E-Government di tingkat lokal.

Abstract

Migrasi ke komputasi awan telah menjadi pertimbangan penting bagi organisasi di berbagai sektor, didorong oleh keinginan untuk memanfaatkan kemampuan transformatif cloud computing. Tidak adanya kerangka kerja standar yang selaras dengan strategi bisnis telah menggaris bawahi perlunya pendekatan perencanaan dan pelaksanaan yang menyeluruh. Penelitian ini berfokus pada perancangan arsitektur untuk membantu perusahaan dalam migrasi dan optimalisasi komputasi awan. Migrasinya menggunakan metode modifikasi model Roadmap for Cloud computing Adoption (ROCCA). Data diambil dari wawancara yang dilakukan dengan CTO dan dianalisis menggunakan analisis SWOT. Hasilnya adalah implementasi model cloud computingdengan Google Cloud Platform (GCP) IaaS menunjukkan proses yang diberikan merupakan panduan yang baik dan tepat untuk mendukung pendekatan strategis PT Merkha Teknologi Indonesia dalam menganalisis dan merencanakan solusi cloud secara efektif. The migration to cloud computing has emerged as a critical consideration for organizations across various sectors, driven by the desire to harness the transformative capabilities of cloud technology. The absence of a standardized framework that seamlessly aligns with business strategies has underscored the necessity for thorough planning and execution approaches. This research focuses on the design of architectural to assist company in the migration and optimize of cloud computing. The migration using method by modification Roadmap for Cloud computing Adoption (ROCCA) model. Data were taken from conducted interviews with CTO and analyzed using SWOT analysis. The result is that the implementation of the cloud computingmodel with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) IaaS showed the processes provided are a good guidance and appropriate to support strategic PT Merkha Teknologi Indonesia approach in analyzing and planning cloud solutions effectively.

Abstract

In the application development process, the deployment phase is a crucial step to ensure the application reaches its users. Frequent application development and repeated processes, even for minor changes, can be cumbersome. Automating this process can positively impact time management, allowing resources to be allocated to other tasks. Automating the deployment phase of application development leverages the implementation of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD). This study uses a web application built with React, JavaScript, and MySQL. The services utilized include GCP Cloud Build for integration, building, testing, and deployment, and Compute Engine as the virtual machine (VM) running Ubuntu as the operating system. The implementation of CI/CD in this study demonstrates significant differences in efficiency compared to manual deployment in terms of time and resources. Regarding costs, analysis shows that saving time and resources through CI/CD results in lower operational expenses. Parallel use of CI/CD facilitates team collaboration in resolving code conflicts but imposes higher demands on resources and time.   Dalam proses pengembangan aplikasi, tahapan deployment adalah tahapan yang penting dilakukan agar aplikasi sampai pada pengguna. Pengembangan aplikasi yang sering dan harus dilakukan berulang kali, meskipun perubahannya minor akan merepotkan. Proses ini jika diubah menjadi otomatis akan memberikan dampak positif terhadap waktu, sehingga bisa dialokasikan untuk hal lainnya. Pengembangan aplikasi tahapan deployment menjadi otomatis memanfaatkan implementasi continuous integration/continuous deployment. Penelitian menggunakan aplikasi web menerapkan React, Javascript dan MySQL. Layanan yang digunakan adalah GCP Cloud Build sebagai integration, build, testing dan deployment. Compute Engine sebagai VM dengan ubuntu sebagai operating system. Hasil penelitian implementasi CI/CD bahwa efisiensi CI/CD dibandingkan manual menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan pada waktu dan sumber daya. Mengenai biaya, analisis dilakukan membandingkan waktu dan sumber daya yang digunakan dan melalui efisiensi waktu dan sumber daya, maka menghemat biaya operasional. Penggunaan CI/CD paralel membantu kerja tim mengatasi konflik kode, tetapi memberatkan sumber daya dan waktu yang dibutuhkan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the service responsiveness at the Population and Civil Registration Office of Ambon City, particularly regarding the implementation of Digital Population Identity (DPI). Public service responsiveness is considered crucial in meeting society's expectations towards technological advancements. The research method applied is qualitative, with data collection through direct observation and interviews at the Population and Civil Registration Office of Ambon City. The research results are expected to provide insights into the service responsiveness of this institution towards the needs and expectations of the community. Thus, this research can offer insights into how the office can enhance its responsiveness to technological changes and societal demands.

Abstract

Scoob Telur is a company that operates in the distribution of eggs in the Province of East Java, especially in the capital city of Surabaya. Unfortunately, business processes ranging from sales, expenses and report generation are still not supported by the use of IS / IT and the absence of strategic information systems planning or mature enterprise architecture. Besides, based on the results of observations and interviews, it was found that there is no information system that can manage financial processes systematically and there are no applications that can help the company's business processes. Based on these, an information system and information technology are needed that can be used to manage the financial process and also control and monitor the company so that it can advance the performance and service of the Scoob Telur company. Enterprise architecture design uses TOGAF ADM, which is a detailed framework used to design, evaluate and build architecture enterprise. The results of this research provide a design that determines business architecture, data architecture, application architecture, technology architecture, and opportunities and solutions and also includes application system design proposals so that it can support business processes as well as making reports that occur on Scoob Telur.
