Abstract

AbstractThis article aims to discuss the image formation carried out by Jokowi in his political communication. Jokowi is a politician who was elected president for two terms. This paper uses the impression formation and impression management perspectives to analyze Jokowi's self-image construction. Using qualitative methods, this article proves that Jokowi succeeded in building his image as a humble, modest and modest leader figure. On the other hand Jokowi's image is reinforced by the impression of his closeness to Muslims. This he did in the context of himself which is often imaged as anti-Islamic. Keywords: Impression Formation, Impression Managament, Jokowi.  AbstrakArtikel ini bertujuan membahas tentang pembentukan citra diri yang dilakukan oleh Jokowi dalam komunikasi politiknya. Jokowi merupakan seorang politisi yang terpilih menjadi presiden selama dua periode. Makalah ini menggunakan perspektif impression formation dan impression management untuk menganalisis konstruksi citra diri oleh Jokowi. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif, artikel ini membuktikan bahwa Jokowi berhasil membangun citra dirinya sebagai figur pemimpin yang rendah hati, sederhana dan tidak berlebihan. Di sisi lain citra Jokowi diperkuat dengan kesan kedekatannya dengan umat Islam. Hal ini ia lakukan dalam konteks dirinya yang sering dicitrakan sebagai anti-Islam. Kata Kunci: Impression Formation, Impression Managament, Jokowi.

Abstract

Aktivitas dakwah semakin berkembang sesuai dengan kondisi masyarakat. Berbagai macam metode perlu dirumuskan agar dakwah mampu berjalan dengan maksimal. Podcast merupakan salah satu media pilihan untuk berdakwah di era modern yang sarat akan kecanggihan teknologi ini. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk melihat media podcast menjadi salah satu pilihan untuk menyampaikan materi dakwah di zaman yang semakin modern. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan studi kepustakaan. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa podcast mulai diminati dan menjadi pilihan beberapa kalangan termasuk dalam menyampaikan dakwah. Podcast dipilih karena bentuknya yang praktis, efisien, bisa didengarkan kapan pun, bahkan dapat dikolaborasikan dengan berbagai macam platform lain di media online. Podcast menjadi sarana lanjutan berdakwah disamping aktivitas dakwah yang dilakukan secara konvensional.

Abstract

The use of internet media in the era of technological and communication advancement is a concern not only in the campus academic community, but in Pesantren, religious-based institutions are also significant. Fadhul Fadhlan is a life skill boarding school (pesantren) that has santri with various levels of education, especially santri as media users who are independently allowed to access online media for educational activities and means of communication. The pandemic demands that the life patterns of santri change, social interaction is limited and cannot be separated from the use of media. Increasingly sophisticated technology supports change and should make it easier for santri to access information, especially in the field of education. Media literacy at Fadhul Fadhlan Pesantren is an interesting study, considering the increasing condition of internet consumption among santri needs to be balanced with smart media skills, so that santri can think more critically in dealing with the flood of information in the media, especially online media.This study focuses on Fadhlul Fadhlan Pesantren strategies to develop media literacy for santri. The results of this study also found that strategies to develop media literacy in Pesantren include optimizing social media, forming media center and training programs to improve literacy skills.

Abstract

The most crucial problem in analyzing problematic violence in Islam is when relating it with text religion. Problematic violence will appear more paradoxical and crucial when trying to legitimize al-Qur'an. When violence and terrorism get legitimacy from al-Qur'an, it will lead to a very risky conclusion; namely, Islam supports violence and terrorism. This is where the hermeneutics of Jurgen Habermas tries to review the problem of interpretation of these verses, especially concerning the theory of communication actions which will be used as an analytical knife in this study. The problem formulation is; how to read verse jihad without using instrumental interpretation and more developed paradigm communicative hermeneutics. The result of this research is that Jurgen Habermas's view will presuppose the formation of an intersubjective relationship in social society. The act of communication aims to reach an understanding between individuals. In relation to religious tolerance, the expected communication is a dialogue in reaching agreement on claims of accuracy in the underlying values ​​of each religion on how to build agreement on each religion and that peace is beautiful and violence is terrible. This claim necessitates an interactive dialogue that explores holistic religious values but avoids discussing truth claims considered non-negotiable religious doctrines. When it is applied in the interpretation of the jihad verse, the conclusion that we hope for is the jihad verse cannot abolish the universal value contained in the peace verse.

Abstract

YouTube is an internet media that has a significant increase and is the most accessed by children during the pandemic. A survey conducted by Jakpat showed an increase in YouTube access from 68.5% to 72.3%. One of the YouTube channels that is widely accessed by children is @nussaofficial. This channel is a program for children and has become one of the favorite programs. however, @nussaofficial cannot be separated from negative responses by accusing the issue of being a radical and intolerant show. One of the influential sources in increasing intolerance in the millennial generation is the internet. This @nussaofficial show appeared because of anxiety about the lack of children's shows that have educational value. This study tries to dissect the @nussaofficial broadcast on the Tolerance Episode with a descriptive qualitative approach. The analysis used is Kripendorf content analysis which aims to determine the content of religious moderation in Nusa shows. Data analysis techniques in this study with Miles and Huberman. The indicators used to determine the message of religious moderation are the four main pillars of religious moderation according to the Ministry of Religion, namely national commitment, harmony, anti-violence and local wisdom through tolerance. The results showed that the @nussaofficial broadcast on the Tolerance Episode contained a message of religious moderation by highlighting the pillars of harmony, anti-violence and local wisdom through tolerance.

Abstract

Momen pesta demokrasi idealnya melibatkan proses kampanye dan political branding oleh setiap masing-masing kandidat agar mampu merebut atensi dan pilihan dari masyarakat. Penggunaan media digital menjadi perhatian era ini akibat peningkatan pengguna media sosial yang memudahkan politikus untuk berkampanye politik dan membentuk citra. Media sosial juga untuk menyebarluaskan visi dan misi pesan politik dan mempersuasi masyarakat. Salah satunya adalah Arief Rohman Bupati Kabupaten Blora yang sukses memanfaatkan media sosial sebagai media kampanye untuk mencitrakan dirinya dihadapan publik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian jenis kualitatif deskriptif, Pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif sesuai dengan tujuan dari artikel ini yakni untuk melihat political branding yang merupakan bagian dari kampanye yang dilakukan oleh aktor politik. Sumber data dari instagram @ariefrohman838 dan metode penelitian kualitatif, artikel ini membuktikan bahwa Arief Rohman sukses dalam melakukan kegiatan kampanye dan political branding di media sosial dengan tagar santernya, #sesarenganmbangunBlora.

Abstract

The high level of intolerance among students is a concern, one in three students has an intolerant attitude. The form of intolerance is by agreeing to jihad and suicide. One of the efforts made by the Ministry of Religion is to conduct a Religious Moderation Campaign. UIN Walisongo as a moderate campus invites its students to have an attitude of moderation. The purpose of this study is to look at the planning stages of a public relations campaign carried out by students to campaign for religious moderation, whether it is effective in forming an attitude of religious moderation. The research methodology is qualitative research with case study analysis by observing religious public relations moderation campaigns. Collecting data by interview, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that students have carried out religious moderation campaigns well and used the campaign public relations planning stages by optimizing the use of Instagram social media, according to the media most accessed by students. The weakness of the moderation campaign that has been carried out is that it is not optimal in measuring awareness regarding religious moderation. However, students are able to convey messages well through Instagram media and get good insight among students

Abstract

This study intends to describe the structure of the text in the news of the Disbandment of FPI: DPR's Attitude, NU and Muhammadiyah Responses to Rizieq's Instructions on Tribunnews.com and Prohibited in NKRI All FPI activities will be stopped on Detik.com. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data collection method is done by library research. The data were analyzed based on the critical discourse analysis of Teun A. Van Dijk. The results showed that the structure of the text on Tribunnews.com and Detik.com agreed with the dissolution of FPI by the government. The social cognition of the two online media displays group and institutional knowledge, while at the level of the social context Tribunnews.com and Detik.com contain the practice of power and access with the actors, namely the government and FPI as community organizations.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas peran dan tantangan Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) dalam menghadapi Pemilu 2024 di Indonesia, dengan fokus pada Generasi Z sebagai pemilih dominan. Generasi Z, yang berjumlah 74,94 juta jiwa atau 27,94% dari total penduduk, sangat terhubung dengan teknologi digital dan media sosial. Meskipun ini mempermudah akses informasi, mereka juga rentan terhadap hoaks yang dapat merusak kepercayaan publik terhadap proses pemilu. Tantangan utama KPU adalah mengatasi penyebaran hoaks di media sosial dan merancang strategi komunikasi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan partisipasi politik anak muda. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, pentingnya literasi politik dan strategi komunikasi yang adaptif pada Pemilu 2014 dan 2019, yang masing-masing mencapai 85,9% dan 91,3%.  KPU Kota Semarang telah menunjukkan keberhasilan dalam menggunakan media sosial dan kampanye kreatif seperti #temanpemilih, yang meningkatkan partisipasi pemilih bahkan dalam situasi pandemi. Penelitian ini menyoroti perlunya KPU terus berinovasi dalam menghadapi perubahan perilaku digital Generasi Z, dengan tujuan utama meningkatkan partisipasi politik generasi muda di Indonesia.
