Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada upaya pemanfaatan limbah sampah kota yang keberadaannya melimpah dan mencemari lingkungan agar dapat dimanfaatkan menjadi suatu produk yang memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi yaitu kompos, selain itu juga dapat menjadi solusi dalam mengatasi masalah kelangkaan serta mahalnya harga pupuk saat ini. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kampus Politeknik Pertanian Negeri Samarinda, dengan lamanya waktu penelitian adalah 3 bulan terhitung mulai bulan Juli sampai dengan Oktober 2020 yang meliputi: persiapan alat dan bahan, pembuatan kompos, pengambilan data dan analisis kompos. Tujuan penelitian yaitu mengetahui lama waktu pembuatan kompos hingga kompos dikatakan jadi, dan mengetahui kualitas kompos berdasarkan standar SNI 19-7030-2004. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; kompos jadi pada hari ke-19 yang ditandai dengan warna kompos coklat kehitaman, tidak berbau, bentuk/tekstur remah dan suhunya sudah stabil mendekati suhu ruang dan kompos yang dihasilkan jika dibandingkan dengan standar SNI 19-7030-2004 untuk C organik, N dan K memenuhi standar sedangkan pH H2O, C/N rasio dan P belum memenuhi standar SNI 19-7030-2004.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh belum maksimalnya penerapan penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri di perusahaan kelapa sawit khususnya bagi karyawan pemupukan. Dari proses kegiatan pemupukan tersebut, terdapat potensi bahaya yang dapat terjadi pada karyawan pemupukan pada saat bekerja dengan tingkat pengetahuan karyawan pemupukan terhadap APD akan sangat berpengaruh dalam penerapan penggunaan APD pada saat bekerja dan perlu adanya pengendalian memberikan kesadaran dan juga pelatihan K3 bagi pekerja. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengevaluasi dan mendeskripsikan karakteristik karyawan seperti usia, pendidikan, jenis kelamin dan pengalaman bekerja. Kemudian mengetahui tingkat kategori pengetahuan karyawan pupuk dalam penerapan APD dan mengetahui tingkat penerapan APD karyawan dalam bekerja. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu metode observasi, wawancara, kuesioner, dokumen perusahaan dan berupa jurnal terkait penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tentang karakteristik yaitu karakteristik responden usia pekerja yang terbanyak pada usia 32-<46 tahun. Karakteristik tingkat pendidikan dengan persentase tertinggi sebesar 57% pada tingkat SD, dan karakteristik jenis kelamin karyawan pemupukan 100% perempuan dan karakteristik lama bekerja dengan persentase tertinggi sebesar 79% berkisar antara 10-<14 tahun. Hasil tabulasi pengetahuan APD tenaga kerja pemupukan termasuk dalam kategori cukup tahu dengan skor 537, jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan tenaga kerja pemupukan termasuk dalam pengetahuan cukup tahu atau cukup baik. Dan hasil tingkat penerapan penggunaan APD yang tertinggi yaitu sepatu boot 100%, celemek/apron 100%, sarung tangan karet 86%, sarung tangan kain 71%, masker 64% untuk kacamata dengan persentase 0%. Kasus kecelakaan kerja terjadi pada bulan September sampai dengan bulan November pada tahun 2021 sejumlah 10 kali kejadian. Pemenuhan APD dengan kebutuhan 14 tersedia 26 dan lebih 12.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Production Laboratory of Samarinda State Polytechnic of Agriculture. The research took 1 month for tool and material preparations, pesticide production, pesticide application, and data retrieval. There were three treatments i.e. P0 (without vegetable pesticide), P1 (vegetable pesticide made from the mixture of gamal leaf and tobacco leaf), and P2 (vegetable pesticide made out of soursop leaf. Each treatment was repeated five times. In the treatment, the leaves were soaked in the pesticide according to the prescription, the pesticide was then sprayed to the worm-infected-leaves in the jars before the jars were covered for seven days. This research aimed to know the how far the pesticide was effective in controlling the worm on banana leaves by observing the daily activity of the worm. Results show that P1 was the most effective pesticide since on day two after the application, it was visible that some worms have died.

Abstract

This research is based on the soil conditions at PT. Cipta Davia Mandiri which tend to be rocky and sandy so that fertilization is needed. One of the right fertilizers is empty bunch fertilizer because it can improve soil structure, soil texture, aeration and increase soil absorption capacity to water. This study aims to determine the evaluation of the application of the 4 right principles in empty bunch fertilization activities referring to the 4 right and to determine the achievement of the target results of empty bunch fertilization work based on the 4 right principles. The method used is the Quantitative method using saturated sampling (census sampling) where all populations are used as samples. In this study, the sample used was 10 employees because the fertilization employees only numbered 10 people. Fertilization activities were carried out in block 227A division 08. Based on the results of the research on the 4 Right Principles in the application of empty fruit bunch fertilizer, all of them have met the accuracy requirements, both the right type with an average value of 100%, the right dose with an average of 91.48%, the right time with an average of 100%, and the right method with an average of 95.39% and the achievement of the work target of empty fruit bunch fertilization employees on average reached the work target of up to 31 trees/HK from the target of 32 trees/HK with a percentage value of 96.87%.

Abstract

Tenaga kerja adalah kemampuan untuk bertindak secara aktif, mampu mempengaruhi dan mengatur pengelolaan faktor produksi untuk mencapai hasil yang maksimal dalam kebutuhan akan tenaga kerja dalam suatu perusahaan guna mendukung produktivitas kerja karyawan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh kelas umur dan masa kerja terhadap produktivitas dan untuk mengetahui produktivitas rata-rata pekerja pemanenan kelapa sawit. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan wawancara langsung dengan pekerja pemanenan dengan beberapa pertanyaan yang telah disiapkan. dan metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode campuran yaitu pengambilan data primer, wawancara dan data sekunder. responden diambil sebanyak 24 responden dalam satu afdeling. Berdasarkan hasil analisis varian menunjukkan bahwa produktivitas tenaga kerja pemanenan kelapa sawit di PT. Tritunggal Sentra Buana tidak berpengaruh terhadap produktivitas umur tetapi berdasarkan nilai rata-rata produktivitas umur menunjukkan perbedaan nilai yaitu pada umur 20-≤30 rata-rata 82.375, umur 30-≤40 rata-rata 92.125 dan usia 40 rata-rata 81,75. Dan berdasarkan hasil analisis varian menunjukkan bahwa produktivitas panen kelapa sawit di PT. Sentra Buana Tritunggal tidak berpengaruh terhadap produktivitas masa kerja namun berdasarkan nilai rata-rata produktivitas masa kerja menunjukkan perbedaan nilai yaitu masa kerja 4 tahun rata-rata 85.375 masa kerja 4 -≤6 tahun rata-rata 84 dan 6 tahun masa kerja rata-rata 85.

Abstract

Pemanenan merupakan salah satu kegiatan terpenting dalam pengelolaan perkebunan kelapa sawit. Pemanenan adalah pemotongan tandan buah sawit yang telah matang dari pohon untuk diangkut ke pabrik. Untuk mendapatkan produksi panen yang tinggi perlu memperhatikan sistem ancak panen yang digunakan karena menjadi salah satu faktor penunjang kuantitas dan kualitas hasil panen kelapa sawit. Sistem ancak yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sistem ancak giring tetap. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kuantitas dan kualitas hasil panen dengan sistem giring tetap dan waktu penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan September 2021 di PT. Tritunggal Sentra Buana. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dan data sekunder dengan jumlah karyawan yang diamati sebanyak 20 orang karyawan pemanenan untuk mengamati kuantitas dan kualitas hasil panen yang diperoleh. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi tentang tingkat kuantitas dan kualitas hasil panen dengan menggunakan sistem acak giring tetap sehingga dapat meningkatkan produksi hasil panen kelapa sawit di perusahaan.

Abstract

In facing increasingly competitive competition, every company needs quality human resources (HR) who have high competence. The challenges that are often faced by every company are the demand for production, which is quite high, and the quality of the products produced. Based on this, human resource management is needed according to the needs of the company. This study aims to determine the characteristics of harvesting employees, the productivity of harvesting employees, and the number of effective oil palm harvesting labor requirements in Afdeling 4 at PT. Alam Jaya Persada.  This study uses two data sources, namely primary data consisting of interviews, direct observation, and documentation, as well as secondary data consisting of company documents and literature related to research activities. Respondents in this study amounted to 22 harvest employees who were determined using saturated sampling techniques. Research data collection was carried out through direct observation, interviews, and collecting all documents related to research. Data analysis used in managing research data is descriptive analysis. Based on the characteristics of harvest employees, 22 people are all male with a percentage of 100%; the average education of employees, namely elementary school (SD), is 10 employees with a percentage of 45%; based on an average age of 31–40 years, namely 9 employees with a percentage of 41%; and based on the average length of work of 1-2 years, namely 11 employees with a percentage of 50%. The results showed that of the 22 harvesting employees of Afdeling 4, the average productivity of harvesting employees was 163 beds/HK, and the basis set by the company was 120 beds/HK. This shows that Afdeling 4 employees can be said to be very productive. The calculation of the need for effective employees in Afdeling 4 is 18 harvesting employees with an area of 728 ha, but the number of employees in the field is 22 or has exceeded the labor requirements for the area of the land.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the stem rot disease of Ganoderma boninense.  Symptoms of Ganoderma disease attack young and old plants aged 10-25 years, as a result of this attack, the production of oil palm fruit bunches decreases. This research aims to determine the symptoms of Ganoderma attacks on oil palm plants, and determine the highest level of Ganoderma attacks in different topography, namely hilly, flat and swampy. This research uses samples of oil palm plants by determining saturated sampling, namely taking samples of oil palm plants in all topography, including hilly, flat and swampy, with a total of 15 blocks in Division 4, with 5 blocks in each topography. Data collection uses primary and secondary data. The data analysis used was by calculating the percentage of attacks and using a completely randomized design (RAL) test. The research results show that the oil palm plants at PT. Rea Kaltim Plantations, Estate Sentekan Main in Division 4 has symptoms of Ganoderma boninense attacks. The highest percentage of Ganoderma boninense attacks is found in the swamp topography (17.08%). Based on ANOVA test, the topography gives a significant effect on the percentage of Ganoderma attacks.

Abstract

Many accidents in oil palm plantations are caused by risks such as harvesting activities. Even though the K3 system has been implemented, accidents still occur because there is a high potential risk of work accidents, so companies need to manage them so that the level of work accidents can be reduced. Research objectives: identify potential dangers and risks of work accidents for harvest employees, carry out an assessment and analysis of the level of value of the risk of harvesting work activities using the HIRARC method and recommend ways to control the potential risk of work accidents during harvesting based on the K3 risk management hierarchy, namely substitution, elimination, PPE and administration. Activities identified as having potential dangers and risks are sharpening tools, cutting fruit, cutting midribs, transporting fruit to TPH, and arranging fruit in TPH. There are 2 levels of risk assessment, namely low risk low risk (sharpening tools, cutting fruit at risk of being injured by thorns and the risk of material waste being exposed to sore eyes, arranging fruit in TPH), medium risk, medium risk (cutting the fronds at risk of falling fronds, swelling from wasp stings and fever, transporting fruit to TPH), and controlling risks such as substitution, elimination, using PPE, administration and being careful when working and paying attention to land conditions.
