Abstract

This training aims to enhance the quality of education by utilizing technology. The participants are English Language teachers from the MGMP in Lima Puluh Kota, Sumatra Barat, consisting of 19 participants. The training takes place at SMPN 1 Harau, Lima Puluh Kota. It employs lecture-based sessions, discussions, and demonstrations. Evaluation results indicate that the training on Powtoon-based animated video learning media significantly improves the digital literacy of the teachers.

Abstract

The admission of new students at SMK N 11 Merangin has two stages of selection, namely the selection of new student admissions and the determination of majors. The process of accepting new students is carried out offline. Based on data from BK teachers and observations during the educational field practice in July-December 2022, it was found that many students still felt unsuitable for the majors they had chosen. In this study, the method used in system development is the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) waterfall model which includes requirements analysis, system and software design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. This application has been compiled using the PHP programming language and the Codeigniter Framework, and is supported by the MySQL database. In the development process, several additional applications that play a role are XAMPP, the Google Chrome browser, Visual Studio Code, and the CSS Bootstrap Framework which is used to design the system display. Based on the purpose of designing the application of the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method for selecting majors in the web-based new student admissions information system (PPDB) at SMK N 11 Merangin which has been carried out, it can be concluded that the results of this final assignment are to produce a web-based application for selecting majors in the new student admissions information system (PPDB) at SMK N 11 Merangin in managing new student admissions and major selection.

Abstract

Evaluasi pendidikan vokasi memainkan peran penting dalam mengukur efektivitas dan relevansi program-program pendidikan vokasi di Indonesia. Dalam konteks ini, penulis melakukan analisis metadata terhadap berbagai studi yang telah dilakukan dalam bidang ini. Melalui penggunaan metode analisis metadata, penulis menyelidiki metode evaluasi yang digunakan, dampak evaluasi terhadap program-program pendidikan vokasi, dan representativitas data yang dihasilkan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa evaluasi pendidikan vokasi memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap program-program pendidikan vokasi, dengan nilai koefisien yang menunjukkan dampak yang tinggi. Temuan ini didukung oleh nilai p yang mendukung hipotesis yang diajukan. Selain itu, grafik funnel plot menunjukkan bahwa metadata yang penulis analisis mewakili sampel dari publikasi dengan baik. Kesimpulannya, evaluasi pendidikan vokasi berperan penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas dan relevansi program-program pendidikan vokasi. Temuan ini memberikan dasar yang kuat untuk pengembangan kebijakan dan praktik pendidikan vokasi yang lebih efektif di Indonesia, serta menegaskan pentingnya evaluasi yang terus-menerus dalam memastikan kualitas pendidikan vokasi yang responsif terhadap kebutuhan pasar kerja yang terus berkembang.Kata kunci : Evaluasi Pendidikan Vokasi, Dampak Evaluasi, Evaluasi Program Vokasi, Meta-Analysis.Vocational education evaluation plays an important role in measuring the effectiveness and relevance of vocational education programs in Indonesia. In this context, we conducted a meta-analysis of the various studies that have been conducted in this field. Through the use of meta-analysis methods, we investigate the evaluation methods used, the impact of evaluation on vocational education programs, and the representativeness of the data produced. The results of the analysis show that vocational education evaluation has a significant impact on vocational education programs, with coefficient values showing a high impact. This finding is supported by the p value which supports the proposed hypothesis. Additionally, the funnel plot graph shows that the metadata we analyzed represents a sample of publications well. In conclusion, vocational education evaluation plays an important role in improving the quality and relevance of vocational education programs. These findings provide a strong basis for the development of more effective vocational education policies and practices in Indonesia, and emphasize the importance of ongoing evaluation in ensuring the quality of vocational education is responsive to the needs of the ever-evolving labor market.Keywords: Vocational Education Evaluation, Impact Evaluation, Vocational Program Evaluation, Meta-Analysis.

Abstract

The increasing demand for effective school-to-work transition mechanisms in vocational education highlights the need for integrated digital platforms. At State Vocational High School 2 Padang Panjang, the dissemination of job vacancy information and alumni data management remains manual, fragmented, and inefficient. Traditional communication channels, such as WhatsApp groups and direct phone calls, often fail to reach all alumni, while data collection via Google Forms lacks automation, scalability, and security. To address these challenges, this study developed a web-based Special Job Fair Information System using the Prototype development model. The system was implemented using the Laravel framework and MySQL database, allowing for real-time data management, secure job vacancy submissions, automated alumni tracking, and dynamic report generation. Performance testing using GTMetrix demonstrated strong system reliability, with a performance score of 94%, structure score of 97%, and favorable metrics including 1.5 seconds for Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), 0 milliseconds Total Blocking Time (TBT), and a Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) score of 0. These results indicate a fast, stable, and responsive user experience. The system offers a scalable solution for improving graduate employability services in vocational education institutions, particularly in resource-constrained environments.

Abstract

The internship licensing process at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) was previously managed through manual procedures, leading to inefficiencies such as delayed processing, data redundancy, and lack of real-time status tracking. This study aimed to develop a web-based internship licensing system to improve administrative efficiency, transparency, and user experience. The development process employed the waterfall model, covering five stages: requirement analysis, design, development, testing, and maintenance. The system was implemented using Laravel for the backend, Flutter for the frontend, and MySQL for the database. Key features include digital permit submission, weekly and final report uploads, role-based dashboards, and real-time status notifications. System validation involved black-box testing and expert evaluation using a 5-point Likert scale, yielding a 94.66% feasibility score categorized as very feasible. The results demonstrate that the application fulfills core functional requirements and addresses the previously identified administrative limitations. The study concludes that the system is effective for managing internship processes in public institutions. Future improvements include broader system integration with academic information systems and enhanced mobile compatibility.

Abstract

Delays in undergraduate thesis completion are a persistent issue in higher education, particularly within the Informatics Engineering Education Study Program at Universitas Negeri Padang. While prior studies have explored general academic barriers, limited research has systematically quantified the internal and external factors that hinder thesis progress in this specific context. This study addresses this gap by identifying and analyzing the dominant factors contributing to thesis delays using a quantitative approach supported by Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). Data were collected through structured surveys distributed to final-year students. The analysis revealed six key influencing factors: motivation, thesis writing ability, health conditions, family support, supervisor guidance, and peer influence. Among these, motivation and writing ability were identified as the most dominant, with a combined variance contribution of 0.932. The novelty of this study lies in its integrated factor-based model that quantitatively distinguishes between internal and external constraints. These findings offer a practical foundation for targeted academic interventions and policy development aimed at accelerating thesis completion rates in vocational informatics education.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of learning motivation and student worksheets (LKPD) on students’ academic achievement in the subject of Computer and Network Engineering at a vocational high school. The research was motivated by the observation that student learning outcomes remained in the moderate category, potentially due to insufficient motivation and suboptimal use of instructional materials. This study aimed to (1) examine the relationship between learning motivation and learning outcomes, (2) analyze the relationship between LKPD and learning outcomes, and (3) assess the combined effect of learning motivation and LKPD on student achievement. A quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational design was employed, involving 36 Grade XI students in the Computer and Network Engineering program. Data were collected through validated questionnaires and documented mid-semester exam scores. The findings revealed a strong and statistically significant correlation between learning motivation and learning outcomes (r = 0.713, R² = 0.509), a moderate but significant relationship between LKPD and learning outcomes (r = 0.338, R² = 0.114), and a strong combined relationship between learning motivation and LKPD with learning outcomes (r = 0.716, R² = 0.513). These results highlight the critical role of both psychological and instructional factors in shaping academic performance in vocational education.

Abstract

Pengelolaan dokumen administrasi siswa seperti surat izin kegiatan luar sekolah, kegiatan sekolah, keterangan terdaftar, keterangan lulus sementara, dan prestasi masih dilakukan secara manual di SMK Negeri 9 Padang. Hal ini menimbulkan berbagai kendala, seperti lambatnya proses pelayanan, risiko kehilangan data, dan sulitnya pelacakan riwayat dokumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem informasi berbasis web yang dapat membantu pihak sekolah dalam memproses pengajuan dan pencetakan surat administrasi secara digital. Metode pengembangan sistem yang digunakan adalah model waterfall yang mencakup analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem menggunakan UML, implementasi, dan pengujian. Sistem dibangun menggunakan framework Laravel dan Laravel Filament sebagai dashboard admin, dengan basis data MySQL dan antarmuka berbasis Tailwind CSS. Pengujian dilakukan dengan metode Black Box Testing dan User Acceptance Test menunjukkan bahwa seluruh fungsi berjalan sesuai kebutuhan pengguna. Aplikasi ini mendukung login multi-level untuk siswa, operator, dan kepala sekolah, serta hanya menampilkan data sesuai hak akses masing-masing. Dengan adanya sistem ini, proses pengajuan dan pengelolaan surat administrasi menjadi lebih cepat, aman, dan terdokumentasi dengan baik. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa sistem informasi yang dibangun telah berhasil membantu digitalisasi layanan administrasi di SMK Negeri 9 Padang secara efektif dan efisien.

Abstract

Attendance is an essential component of school management that serves as both proof of presence and a basis for evaluating the discipline of teachers, students, and staff. The manual attendance system that is still widely used often leads to several issues, such as delayed data recapitulation, potential attendance manipulation, and low recording accuracy. This study aims to design and develop a web-based attendance application at SD Negeri 19 Pasar Cubadak by integrating geolocation, timestamp, and face recognition features as attendance validation tools. The research method employed is the Research and Development (R&D) approach using the Waterfall software development model, which includes the stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The application was developed using the Laravel framework with PHP and JavaScript programming languages and a MySQL database. The results show that the web-based attendance application can record attendance in real-time, automatically validate user location and identity, and generate accurate and transparent attendance reports. The User Acceptance Test (UAT) results indicate that the system is user-friendly, improves recapitulation efficiency, and assists the principal in objectively monitoring school members’ discipline. Therefore, this application is expected to serve as a modern solution to enhance the effectiveness of attendance administration in primary education environments.

Abstract

Society 5.0 and the Fourth Industrial Revolution have driven the integration of digital technology in education, including in the field of makeup and beauty. However, skill-based learning such as Western Bridal Makeup (WBM) faces challenges due to resource limitations, such as access to quality makeup tools, accessories, and bridal gowns, hindering comprehensive mastery of makeup techniques and industry professional standards. Traditional teaching methods are considered inadequate in facilitating creativity and the hands-on learning preferences required for WBM practice. This study involved 40 students as subjects and developed an Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning media for WBM using the Research & Development method and the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) model. The AR media simulated makeup tools, bridal gowns, accessories, tutorial videos, and flipbook modules in an interactive 3D format. The AR media provided clear representations to help students learn Western bridal makeup techniques more effectively. Data were collected through validated tests and questionnaires. The results showed a media validation score of 94.8%, with a significant impact on improving student performance (Sig. 0.000 < 0.05). Post-test scores increased significantly from 68.60 to 87.30, reflecting an improvement of approximately 20%. Students also reported better conceptual understanding and increased learning motivation. This AR media not only addresses resource limitations but also enhances student engagement, fosters creativity, and prepares them with industry-standard skills, making it an innovative solution in vocational makeup education.
