Abstract

Program kemitraan ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan LaTeX kepada kalangan guru dan mahasiswa pendidikan matematika di Pekalongan. Peranti lunak LaTeX merupakan salah satu word processor yang mempunyai keunggulan dalam ketersediaan simbol dan pengaturan environment rumus matematika. Oleh karena itu, LaTeX mulai sering digunakan oleh kalangan pendidik di Bidang Matematika dalam menyiapkan materi pelajaran. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk pendampingan atau pelatihan dengan metode demonstrasi, praktek, dan diskusi, yang dilakukan secara daring menggunakan bantuan Google classroom dan Youtube. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta dapat menjalankan program LaTeX dan dapat membuat template bahan ajar sederhana yang memuat simbol dan rumus matematika dengan cukup baik. Peserta juga yakin bahwa LaTeX sangat diperlukan dalam menyiapkan dokumen dalam pembelajaran matematika pada waktu sekarang ini

Abstract

The aim of this study was to analyze the difficulties of teachers and students in teaching and learning material on the properties of quadrilateral. Based on these difficulties the researcher designed learning activities based on Kata Sepat which would be used to help students understand the material properties of quadrilaterals. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. The instruments used were interviews and observations. The results of the study showed that teachers and students experienced difficulties in learning and teaching quadrilateral characteristics, so scaffolding was needed in the form of a learning design based on Kata Sepat

Abstract

Our activity aims to assist 8th-grade students at SMP Plus Muhammadiyah Doro in learning Geometry using tangram teaching aids. This is related to the lack of enthusiasm some students feel during the learning process, especially in Geometry. The community service activity was carried out through planning, implementation, and evaluation stages, using lectures, discussions, experiments, and demonstrations. The instruments used include questionnaires given to students before and after the activity. The results of this activity show that: 1) almost all students contend that teachers now need tangrams to help in explaining teaching materials in Plane Geometry; 2) almost all students are interested in the tangrams, which is due to their ease of making and using; 3) almost all students contend that tangrams can help them to train their understanding of mathematical concepts, especially in plane figures; 4) most students believe that tangrams can enhance their motivation to learn.

Abstract

Bidang pariwisata merupakan salah satu bidang yang terdampak dalam pandemi Covid-19 diIndonesia. Pariwisata merupakan salah satu sumber pemasukkan yang memiliki peran penting dimasyarakat. Peningkatan sumber daya pemandu wisata dalam pendidikan karakter dan kearifanlokal, menjadi sangat penting dalam peningkatan kualitas wisata pendidikan di KabupatenPekalongan. Pendidikan karakter menjadi poin penting dalam kegiatan wista pendidikan. Sementaraini muncul berbagai macam bentuk tempat wisata baru di Kabupaten Pekalongan. Hal inidikarenakan berimbasnya bahwa setiap desa harus memiliki Bumdes. Sehingga kebanyakan Bumdesdi Kabupaten Pekalongan membuat pendapatan mandiri dengan membuka tempat wisata. Dibeberapa tempat, tidak semua tempat wisata dimiliki atau dikelola oleh Bumdes, tetapi dikelola olehperorangan. Namun tempat wisata baru nampaknya kurang mendapat pendampingan terutamadalam hal edu wisata. FKIP Universitas Pekalongan menangkap potensi ini dengan mengadakan kerjasama dengan PKBMAn Nur. Sebagai salah satu tindak lanjut kerjasama ini terutama bidang pengabdian kepadamasyarakat maka perlu dilakukan Pelatihan dan Pendampingan Wisata  Pendidikan (Edu-wisata)untuk Peningkatan Kualitas Pemandu Wisata Berbasis Pendidikan Karakter di KabupatenPekalongan Paska Pandemi Covid-19 sehingga diharapkan tempat wisata yang ada di kabupatenPekalongan terdapat nilai pendidikan karakter yang dapat memberi manfaat untuk generasimendatang. Abstract

This study examines sexual violence understanding among 11th-grade students at SMK Muhammadiyah Bojong, influenced by the film "Penyalin Cahaya." Findings show students grasp general concepts well, scoring 91.43 on average for understanding coercion, consent, and impacts of sexual violence. However, specific instances in the film posed challenges, with scores dropping to 66.71, indicating difficulty in distinguishing privacy violations from sexual violence. While "Penyalin Cahaya" effectively educates, students require more nuanced guidance to apply knowledge practically. Integrating such films into the Merdeka curriculum enhances awareness but necessitates clearer distinctions for comprehensive education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how playing Mobile Legends influences students' English language skills, understand which specific skills (listening, speaking, reading, or writing) show the most significant improvement, and compare the positive and negative effects of the game on English language learning. This research adopts a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data was collected through online questionnaires, semi-structured interviews with selected students, and Duolingo English Test (practice version) scores to assess language proficiency. The study found that Mobile Legends significantly contributes to English language proficiency, particularly in listening and reading skills, by providing authentic and interactive language contexts. Students show increased confidence and motivation. However, negative impacts include potential game addiction and limited exposure to formal grammar. This study can be useful in education by providing insights into integrating informal learning tools like mobile games into classroom learning for more interactive and engaging experiences. Practically, it offers guidance for educators to leverage students' interest in games to improve English language skills. Academically, it contributes to the field of game-language interaction and serves as a basis for further research. This study provides new perspectives on how digital media, often seen as mere entertainment, can be effectively utilized to support language learning in an immersive manner, especially among vocational high school students. It comprehensively evaluates the impact of Mobile Legends on various language skills beyond vocabulary and writing, filling a gap in existing research.

Abstract

Literary psychological scholars see psychological problems faced by a fictional character in a literary work as a reflection of the author’s awareness of similar phenomena that happen to a real person in real life. It becomes a trigger to why this research is conducted. This research aims to analyze the psychological condition of Greg Heffley, the protagonist in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid (2007), in his early teenage year. The theory used in this research is Erik Erikson’s theory of psychosocial development. This research method is qualitative descriptive, where data is analyzed and presented in the discussion in detailed descriptions. Meanwhile, the primary data is text in the novel. The results show that Greg Heffley, as the protagonist, experiences role confusion due to the transition from childhood to teenage. He does not adapt well with his new environment. The situation is worsened by his unsupportive best friend, who still acts like a child when interacting with him. It is also found that Greg Heffley, at this stage, begins to be aware of his sexual and occupational identity. It is concluded that Greg Heffley finds it challenging and difficult to migrate from childhood to teenage with all his situation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh ketidakpastian berakhirnya pandemi Covid-19 yang berdampak pada ancaman siswa menjadi putus belajar dan menurunnya kualitas pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, sekolah harus selalu siap siaga dengan sistem pendidikan yang baru yang berbeda dengan sistem pendidikan sebelumnya. Sistem pendidikan sekolah Tanggap pandemic (Resilience Education System) menjadi salah satu solusi tepat untuk penyelenggaraan pendidikan di masa pandemic dan masa pasca pandemic.  Penelitian ini adalah penelitian evaluasi yang bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan kesiapan dari sekolah menuju Resillence Education Sistem terutama dalam aspek pembelajaran dan memberikan rekomendasi kepada sekolah dan pemangku kebijakan untuk mengetahui peta kesiapsiagaan sekolah di masa pandemic dan pasca pandemic. Seting penelitian di SMA negeri di Kabupaten Pekalongan.  Subjek penelitiannya adalah para pimpinan sekolah yang diambil sebagai sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara kuisioner dan interview dan hasil dari pengumpulan data dianalisis secara kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sekolah belum cukup siap untuk mengelola sistem pembelajaran daring terutama dalam peningkatan keterlibatan aktif dalam pembelajaran daring, pelibatan keluarga dan masyarakat dalam pembelajaran daring, dan peningkatan literasi digital dan pembelajaran mandiri.
