Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru di Kecamatan Prabumulih Barat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah guru Sekolah Dasar di Kecamatan Prabumulih Barat yang berjumlah 100 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan Deskripsi dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian bahwa terdapat pengaruh secara parsial dan simultan gaya kepemimpinan dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru. Penelitian ini memberi kontribusi kepada seluruh pengelola sekolah agar memperbaiki gaya kepemimpinan dan meningkatkan motivasi kerja guru agar kinerja guru meningkat.

Abstract

This research aimed at exploring the challenges faced by Ms. Gruwell, teaching strategies found in the Freedom Writers movie by Richard LaGravenese and the implication of this movie in relation to English Language Teaching. This research used content analysis method. The source of the data is the movie entitled “Freedom Writers” by Richard LaGravenese. Method of collecting the data is through watching the movie. Then, the data were analyzed through triangulation: movie, interview and book review. The finding of this research showed that there are some challenges faced by Ms. Gruwell in the movie entitled The Freedom Writers such as Racial and social discrimination, Mockery and insults actions, unfriendly behavior or negative stereotyping inside the class, History of gang, and Loyalty that had an effect inside the class. Next, it is also found that the teacher applied various strategies such as cultures differences strategies, the fish bowl, free writing, independent study, information-driven and thought-provoking as well as ethnic additives strategies to create a conducive classroom climate that is useful for the teaching learning process and also encouraged her students to get better achievements. In addition, the implication of teaching are using games, tape recorder or song, switching or changing students’ seating position, journal writing, reading motivation, and class discussion or debate.

Abstract

Digital learning is one way to overcome learning during a pandemic. There are several platforms that teachers can use in carrying out learning such as WhatsApp, YouTube and Google Classroom. This mixed method research aims to find out how were the teachers’ implementation of digital learning and how were EFL learners’ perception on teaching activities through digital learning of English. This research was conduct at Senior High School YPI Tunas Bangsa of Palembang. There were several samples including principal, one English teachers and eighty students’. The data obtained from interview, questionnaire, and documentation. Analyzed by using data reduction, data display and conclusion. The results showed that the implementation of platform and the students’ perception of learning English through digital technology. This research is expected to be one of the solutions to improve the way teachers implement learning through student perceptions.

Abstract

In Indonesia, English has become a lesson that must be learned and has many enthusiasts. However, can English lessons be used to integrate character education. This descriptive qualitative method research aims to find about character education that can be integrate in teaching English, teaching materials that can be used and how the teachers integrate character education in teaching English. This research was conducted at Junior High School 4 of Tungkal Jaya. Informants of this research were English teachers and students at grade eight. The data obtained from observation, interview and documentation and analyzed using a qualitative analysis process by using data reduction, display and conclusion. Findings of this research showed that: there are only eight characters education that can be integrated in teaching English, this eight characters education were integrated by using teaching material “One Direction song, History which tells about togetherness and friendship” and integrated by carry out teaching in accordance with the existing syllabus and lesson plans. This research provide information to English teachers about the integrating of character education in teaching activities.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pendekatan Content Based Instruction Approach dapat meningkatkan Kemampuan Membaca Siswa Kelas VIII di SMP N 1 Indralaya Selatan Ogan Ilir. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 3 siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari tiga kali pertemuan. Data tentang kemampuan membaca siswa dikumpulkan melalui latihan membaca, membaca teks dan observasi. Berdasarkan hasil observasi pada siklus I sebesar 67,50, siklus II sebesar 73,78, dan siklus III meningkat menjadi 82,71 siswa yang menunjukkan sikap positif dalam proses belajar mengajar dengan pendekatan Content Based Instruction (CBI) pada siklus terakhir. Setelah dilakukan perhitungan ditemukan bahwa pemahaman membaca siswa meningkat secara signifikan setelah menggunakan pendekatan Content Based Instruction (CBI). Kesimpulan menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan pendekatan Content Based Instruction (CBI) efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca dan partisipasi siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar.

Abstract

This research is based on a need for a better understanding of the characteristics and conditions of students when evaluating assessments. as well as the existence of a large proportion of teachers who have not been able to apply information technology in an effort to increase the effectiveness of student learning. The purpose of this research is to describe and analyze the influence of pedagogic competence and professional competence together on the performance of teachers in state middle schools in Pangkalan Lampam District. This research was conducted in all public middle schools in Pangkalan Lampam District, namely Public Middle School 1 Pangkalan Lampam, Middle School 2 Pangkalan Lampam, Middle School 3 Pangkalan Lampam, Middle School 4 Pangkalan Lampam and Middle School 5 Pangkalan Lampam, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, and took place from June to October 2022. This study used a type of correlational quantitative research method after the fact. Sampling techniques that can be used include technical probability sampling as well as non-probability sampling. The total number of state Junior high school teachers in Pangkalan Lampam District is 102. F valuecount of 19.286 and the value of FTable of 3.11 then Fcount > FTable which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that the pedagogic competency and professional competency variables have a significant effect on teacher performance variables. The R Square value is 0.331, thus the coefficient of determination is 33.1%, so it can be concluded that the influence of pedagogical competence and professional competence on teacher performance is 33.1%, and the remaining 67% is influenced by other factors not included in this variable.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan tingkat kepercayaan diri dalam melakukan smash permainan bola voli pada peserta ekstrakurikuler SMA Negeri 18 Palembang. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan  pendekatan survei. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta ekstrakurikuler cabang olahraga bola voli yang  berjumlah 32 orang, sedangkan sampel diambil sama dengan jumlah populasi sebanyak 32 siswa. Data diperoleh dengan teknik angket. Data hasil tes dianalisis menggunakan persentase. Hasil penelitian diperoleh tingkat kepercayaan diri dalam melakukan smash permainan bola voli pada peserta ekstrakurikuler SMA Negeri 18 Palembang sebesar 78,56 dikategorikan tinggi, dengan 4 siswa (12,5%) diantaranya memperoleh nilai antara 86-100 dengan kategori sangat tinggi, 18 siswa (56,3%) memperoleh nilai antara 76-85 tergolong tinggi, 9 siswa (28,1%) memperoleh nilai antara 60-75 dikategorikan cukup, 1 siswa (3,1%) memperoleh nilai antara 55 - 59 dikategorikan rendah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan pengaruh supervisi kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru di SMP Negeri Kecamatan Muara Telang, mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan pengaruh motivasi guru terhadap kinerja guru di SMP Negeri Kecamatan Muara Telang, dan mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan pengaruh supervisi kepala sekolah dan motivasi guru secara bersama-sama terhadap kinerja guru di SMP Negeri Kecamatan Muara Telang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif, populasi penelitian adalah seluruh guru di SMP Negeri Kecamatan Muara Telang dan sampel penelitian ini diperoleh sebanyak 88 responden. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Uji validitas menggunaan validitas konstruksi dan validitas isi. Sedangkan uji reliabilitas menggunakan Cronbach’s Alpha. Uji Prasyarat analisis menggunakan uji normalitas, liniearitas dan heterokedastisitas. Data dianalisis menggunakan rumus regresi linier sederhana dan regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan software SPSS versi 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan supervisi kepala sekolah dan motivasi guru terhadap kinerja guru dengan nilai korelasi sebesar 0,731 dengan presentasi hubungan sebesar 53,5% sedangkan 46,5% ditentukan oleh faktor lain yang tidak disebutkan dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how the implementation of the principal's leadership in the context of implementing school-based management of Madrasah Tsanawiyah. This research was conducted at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Prabumulih school, which is located on Jalan Angkatan 45 Muaradua Village, East Prabumulih District, Prabumulih City. This research uses Qualitative Research with descriptive method. The objects or informants in this study are principals, teachers, administrative staff, students, parents, committees and the surrounding community. Data collection techniques in this study used in-depth interview, observation and documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques use qualitative data analysis including data collection, data reduction, data display and data verification. The result of this research is that the principal has implemented his leadership in carrying out school-based management in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Kota Prabumulih, by conducting curriculum programs, fulfilling infrastructure and effective supervision. The fundamental difference of this study is in the research subjects that took place in the Tsanawiyah Madrasah. Keywords: Implementation; Leadership; Principal; MBS

Abstract

This study aimed at evaluating and describing the Professionalism Development of Economics Subject Teachers at SMA Negeri Muara Kuang District. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Muara Kuang and SMA Negeri 2 Muara Kuang. The research subjects were the head of SMAN 1 Muara Kuang, the head of SMAN 2 Muara Kuang, the deputy head of SMAN 1 Muara Kuang, the deputy head of SMAN 2 Muara Kuang. 2 teachers at SMAN 1 Muara Kuang, 1 teacher at SMAN 2 Muara Kuang and 2 Supervisors for Development. Data collection techniques with observation, documentation and interviews. The data analysis technique was carried out in three stages: (1) data reduction, (2) data presentation, (3) conclusion drawing. The results showed that the development of the professionalism of the Economics Subject teacher at SMA Negeri Muara Kuang District had paid attention to all aspects of the context component, implemented several aspects of the input and process components. However, the output components have not been implemented properly.
