Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti efek hepatoterapi ekstrak etanol buah merah  dengan parameter SGPT.  Hewan uji dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok, yaitu kelompok kontrol negatif, kelompok kontrol positif, kelompok ekstrak 2% b/v, 4% b/v dan 6% b/v yang diinduksi menggunakan parasetamol dan diberi terapi selama 7 hari.  Pengukuran kadar SGPT dilakukan pada hari pertama sebelum induksi, setelah induksi dan terapi.  Data yang diperoleh dianalisis statistik menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok  dan  uji lanjutan Duncan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang sangat nyata antara kelompok kontrol dengan kelompok perlakuan  pada taraf 1% dan pemberian suspensi ekstrak etanol buah merah 2%, 4%, 6% b/v memberikan efek penurunan kadar SGPT. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak etanol buah merah mempunyai efek hepatoterapi dan  pemberian suspensi ekstrak buah merah 6% b/v tidak berbeda nyata dengan penurunan kadar SGPT darah pada pemberian suspensi curliv 2500 mg/kgbb.

Abstract

This research is done to know whether infuse of sambiloto leaf can reduce cholesterol and trigliserida value in the blood or not. For reducing cholesterol and trigliserida value in the blood, we want to know the most effective concentration of infuse of sambiloto leaf ( Andrograpidis paniculata).In this research, the method is used is draw up samples, substancions, experimental animals, treatment with experimental animal and measuring cholesterol and trigliserida value.All sample can reduce cholesterol and trigliserida value at concentration 10%, 15%, or 20%, sample with concentration 15% and 20% reduce cholesterol value is better than sample with concentration 10%. Sample with concentration 15% and 20% have reducing effect of trigliserida value same with simvastatin.Analyze using ANAVA (analys variant) with continuing test using LSD at belief standart 0,05, in conclusion, infuse of Sambiloto leaf can reduce not only cholesterol but also trigliserida value in male rabbits.Key Word : Antihiperlipidemi, Andrograpidis paniculata, cholesterol and trigliserida.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a group of chronic diseases characterized by increased sugar levels in the blood as a result of disturbances in the body's metabolic system. Comparative studies have been conducted hypoglycemic effect of patent metformin and generic branded metformin to the diabetic male mice with the aim to determine the effect of the patent and the generic branded drug metformin drug in lowering blood glucose levels. This study used male mice were divided into three treatment groups, group I was given Na. CMC as a control, the group II was given generic branded metformin and the group III was given patent metformin. Measurement of blood glucose levels before and after induction of alloxan 120 mg/kgbw intraperitoneally, and for 6 hours after drug administration with measurements every 90 minutes interval. The data obtained were analyzed by ANOVA. The results showed the patents metformin drug have no significantly different effects compared to the generic branded metformin drug.

Abstract

Inflammation is a body protective response against tissue injury which can be characterizet by the formation of edema. Frangipani Leaves contain flavanoids, saponins and alkaloids. The flavanoid compound is considered to have a useful effect for healing edema. This research aimed to examine the effects of anti-inflamatory and determined the dose of ethanol extract of the frangipani leaves (Plumeria rubra L.) as an anti-inflammatory  in the rat. The test of anti-inflammatory effect was done by using the Rat Hind Paw Edema method in which test animals it used 15 rats divided into 5 groups: groups I (negative control)  was given Na.CMC 1% w/v, group II (positive control) was given diclofenac sodium, group III, IV and V were given the ethanol extract of the frangipani leaves successive doses of 166,6mg/kgBW, 222,2 mg/kgBW, and 277,7 mg/kgBW, all groups were orally administered. The tested animals were induced carrageenan 1% w/v in intraplantar 0,5 mL and were meansured their foot edema volume before performed before induction as the intial volume (Vo), after induction, and 1 hour after the administration of the dosage form for 5 hours with the intervals of 1 hours using the pletismometer. The research result data were proccessed statistically using on-wey anova. Based of the data analysis showed that the ethanol extract of the frangipani leaves have the activity as the anti-inflammatory and statistically, the assay extract group showed the result not significantly different (p>0,05) against the diclofenac sodium group and a dose of 277,7mg/kgBW possessed the best activity compared to a dose of 166,6mg/kgBW and 222,2mg/kgBW.

Abstract

Leaf cherry (Muntingia Calabura L) empirically been used by the public as an anti-inflammatory drug. Cherry leaf contains flavonoids are thought to have antioxidant effects. This study has been tested antiinflammatory effect of ethanol extract of leaves of cherry (Muntingia Calabura L) in mice (Mus musculus). A total of 15 mice were divided into 5 groups of 3 animals. Group I (control) are given Na.CMC 1% w/v, Group II, III, and IV (treatment) were given cherry leaf extract ethanol concentration of 1% w / v, 3% w / v, and 5% w / v, as well as groups V (comparison) given Diclofenac Sodium 0.195 mg / 30 gBW. Before treatment all groups karagen induced with 1% w / v in intraplantar. Antiinflammatory effect was measured using pleytismometer. The results were analyzed statistically by one-way ANOVA method. The results showed that the ethanol extract of cherry leaf has anti-inflammatory effects and the concentration of 3% and 5% w / v has an effect no different to that diclofenac sodium.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder of carbohydrate, fat and protein that is characterized of hyperglycemia. Manila sapodilla (Manilkara zapota) empirically has been used by people as a traditional medicine. This study aims to determine the hypoglycemic effects and an effective concentration of ethanol extract manila sapodilla fruit as hypoglycemic on male mice induced by alloxan. The group of test animals consisted of 25 mice balb / c males were divided into 5 groups. Negative control group Na.CMC suspension 1% w / v, the comparison group glibenclamide 0.65 mg/kgbw, and group 3, 4, and 5 are a group of ethanol extract manila sapodilla fruit (EBSM) at a doses of 250 mg/kgbw, 500 mg/kgbw, and 750 mg/kgbw. Before treatment all test animals alloxan induced a dose of 150 mg/kgbw intraperitoneally (i.p). Given the test preparation is done orally once daily for 21 days. Blood collection from tail vein of mice on day 1 (h- 3rd), -3, -7, -11, -14, -17 and days 21 during treatment. Measurement of blood glucose levels is done before induction as early glucose levels, glucose levels after induction as diabetes mellitus, and after the end of therapy as glucose levels. The results were analyzed statistically by t-test and one-way ANOVA. Results showed EBSM a dose of 250 mg/kgbw showed no significant different compared to glibenclamide suspension. From this study it can be concluded that manila sapodilla fruit extract has hypoglycemic effects with an effective dose of 250 mg/kgbw. Keywords : Hyperglycemia, Manilkara zapota, male mice, alloxan.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus merupakan menurunnya fungsi pankreas untuk memproduksi insulin sehingga glukosa darah meningkat. Berdasarkan data International Diabetes Federation, prevalensi penyakit diabetes mellitus di Indonesia sebesar 8,6% dan merupakan negara terbesar ke-4 dengan penderita diabetes mellitus. Salah satu kandungan kimia dari kayu secang yaitu brazilin yang merupakan golongan flavonoid yang  bertindak sebagai antioksidan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menentukan efek antihiperglikemik dari infus kayu secang terhadap mencit jantan yang diinduksi aloksan. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan 15 ekor mencit yang dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok perlakuan yaitu kelompok I metformin (kontrol positif), kelompok II, III, dan IV infus kayu secang 10% b/v, 15% b/v, dan 20% b/v dan kelompok V aquadest (kontrol negatif). Pada penelitian ini, dilakukan pengukuran kadar glukosa darah puasa (kadar awal), setelah induksi aloksan 120mg/kgBB dan pemberian terapi selama 15 hari. Data yang diperoleh diolah secara statistik one way anova. Berdasarkan analisis data statistik menunjukkan bahwa kelompok aquadest berbeda nyata (p<0,05) terhadap semua kelompok uji infus kayu secang  dan metformin. Semua kelompok uji infus kayu secang menunjukkan tidak berbeda nyata (p>0,05) terhadap kelompok metformin. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa infus kayu secang 10% b/v; 15% b/v dan 20% b/v mempunyai efek antihiperglikemik dan menunjukkan hasil yang tidak berbeda nyata (p>0.05) terhadap metformin.

Abstract

Nephroprotective is an attempt to protect the kidneys from damage. The research aimed tc determine the effect of nephroprotective and determine the effective dosage of ethanol extract of Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis leaf as the nephroprotective. The research used 15 male rats divided into 5 groups. Group 1 (normal) was no treatment; group 2 (negative control) was induced by gentamicin; and groups 3, 4 and 5 (test group) were provided ethanol extract of Anredera cordlfolia Ten.) Steenis leaves sequentially at the doses of 100 mg/KgBW, 150 mg/KgBW and 200 mg/KgBW. The extract was orally given once a day for 8 days; every 1 hour after the treatment, all the test rats were intraperitoneally induced by gentamicin of 80 mg/KgBW except for the normal group. The measurement of creatinine content was conducted on day 1 and 9. Based on the results of the measurement of final creatinine content, the ethanoi exiract of the Madeira-vine leaf obtained had the effect as nephroprotective. From the results of the difference in creatinine content, the analysis was conducted by One-Way ANOVA followed by the LSD test. In conclusion, the ethanol extract of Madeira-vine leaf of the doses of 100 mg/KgBW, 150 mg/KgBW and 200 mg/KgBW had relatively the same nephroprotective effect.

Abstract

In this study, three formulas gel with varying polyvinyl alcohol   9%, 9,5%, and 10%. Then do the evaluation of physical stability by organoleptic examination of the test parameters, measurements of viscosity, yield value determination  and pH determination before and after accelarated storage. The results obtained in the second organoleptic examination of the gel formula does not change the color, smeel and consistency before and after accelerated storage. In the viscosity measurements obtained results in the formula A  were not significantly different before and after accelerated storage. Results of statistical analysis of the value of yield showed that the formula A were not significantly different before and accelerated storage. In rheogram formula A have the curves that coincide, formula B and C have seen that the curve is not too close together  before and after accelerated storage. In pH determination, formula A have neutral pH  of 6,9,  formula B and C have pH of 6,8, so it can be concluted that two stocks is stable, but their stability is the most optimal formula A (concentration 9 %). Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a disease caused by a glucose metabolism disorder due to lack of insulin indicated by high levels of glucose in the blood due damage in pancreatic 3 cells or insulin resistance. The research aimed to determine the effect and effective dosage of ethanol extract of seagrass to decrease glucose levels of diabetic mellitus in rats. It used 15 rats divided into 5 treatment groups, namely negative groups (NaCMC), positive group (Glibenclamide), tested extract group with the doses of 0,25 g/kgBW, 0,5 g/kgBW and 0,75 g/kgBW respectively. Alloxan induction at a dose of 0,13 g/kgBW was given intraperitoneally once a day orally for 14 days. Blood glucose level measurement was carried out before induction, after induction and after glucometer therapy. The result was statistically analyzed using the One Way Anova followed by the Bonferoni Post Hoc test and showed that the ethanol extract of seagrass leaves had a deep effect in reducing the blood glucose level of rats induced by alloxan at 750 mg/kgBW as the effective dose.
