Abstract

This study aims to develop digital LKPD based on Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) questions that support the critical thinking skills of fifth grade students, especially on environmental change material and analyze the quality of digital LKPD based on Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) in fifth grade thematic learning in schools. base. This type of research is research and development with reference to the ADDIE model. Data were obtained through expert assessment sheets, interviews, and observations. Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) Question-Based Digital LKPD teaching materials were declared feasible by validators of material, media, learning, and language experts. The results of the material validator assessment obtained an average value of 3.41 categorized as very good, the media validator assessment obtained an average value of 3.33 categorized as very good, the learning validator assessment obtained an average value of 3.54 categorized as very good, and the language validator assessment obtaining an average score of 3.50 is categorized as very good. Based on the results of the validator's assessment, it is stated that the Digital LKPD teaching materials based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) meet the quality for use in the learning process.

Abstract

Student worksheets/Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) that promote local wisdom are still rarely found in elementary schools. Therefore, it is necessary to develop LKPD that supports the delivery of materials for the local wisdom preservation. This research aims to develop the LKPD based on local wisdom of natural disaster material for 1st grade elementary school students. The type of this research is Research and Development (RnD). The development procedure adopts the ADDIE model. The subject was the 1st Grade students at Unggulan Aisyiyah Elementary School in Bantul. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the research was only conducted until the validation test stage by expert lecturers. The data retrieval techniques were observations and interviews. The data was analyzed using qualitative and quantitative analysis. The criteria for the successful creation of LKPD can be seen from the assessment of validation experts. The results of the assessment by media experts are 77 "Very Worthy", by material experts are 80 "Very Worthy", by linguists is 82.5 "Very Worthy", and by teaching experts is 89.5 "Very Worthy". Thus, the average score is 82.25 "Very Decent", which if converted in qualitative data falls into the category "Very Decent". Thus, LKPD based on local wisdom of natural disaster materials for 1st grade students of elementary school is eligible to be used as a support for teaching materials.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan urgensi pendidikan multikultural sebagai wadah strategis untuk menanamkan karakter toleransi di sekolah dasar. Jenis penelitian merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan wawancara mendalam. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa kelas atas maupun bawah dari 6 SD di 3 kabupaten di Yogyakarta. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) karakter toleransi mulai luntur pada anak sekolah dasar yang terlihat pada kurang menghormati ketika teman lainnya sedang beribadah; 2) pemahaman siswa dan guru tentang pendidikan multikultural masih sangat minim yang terlihat dari responden yang tidak memahami penjelasan terkait pendidikan multikultural padahal pendidikan multikultural adalah wadah strategis untuk mengembangkan karakter toleransi. Oleh karena itu, pendidikan multikultural dianggap urgen untuk dikenalkan ke siswa dan guru sehingga diharapkan karakter toleransi akan berkembang pula.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara, ditemukan hasil pengamatan bahwa peserta didik lebih suka mengerjakan tugas secara individu, kurangnya sikap kerjasama yang dimiliki oleh peserta didik, dan hasil belajar yang cukup rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya peningkatan kerjasama dan hasil belajar peserta didik melalui model pembelajaran problem based learning. Penelitian yang dilakukan merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian adalah 29 peserta didik kelas 2A. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri dari tes, observasi, wawancara, catatan lapangan dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian diperoleh pada siklus I pertemuan 1 sebesar 72,17%, siklus 1 pertemuan 2 sebesar 79,80%. Perolehan siklus II pertemuan 1 ssebesar 83,25%, siklus II pertemuan 2 sebesar 86,95% dengan kategori sangat baik. Rata-rata hasil belajar pra siklus sebesar 34,48%, siklus I 62,07% dan meningkat pada siklus II sebesar 86,21% menunjukkan ketercapaian indikator keberhasilan sangat baik. Dapat disimpulkan model pembelajaran problem based learning dapat meningkatkan kerjasama dan hasil belajar.

Abstract

Tujuan utama dari usaha pelayanan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman guru terhadap pembelajaran yang berbeda, khususnya melalui pemanfaatan kerangka pedagogi Teaching at The Right Level (TaRL), dan meningkatkan keahlian mereka dalam pembuatan modul pedagogis. Pendekatan yang digunakan untuk pengabdian ini melibatkan strategi pedagogis yang beragam, mencakup sesi-sesi didaktik, diskusi interaktif, dan peluang pembelajaran berdasarkan pengalaman yang diselenggarakan melalui latihan dan kegiatan pembimbingan terstruktur. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kombinasi kuesioner peserta dan kurasi dokumen-dokumen instruksional yang relevan. Kegiatan ini berlangsung selama dua hari, yang mencakup urutan komponen instruksional yaitu: (1) eksplorasi komprehensif terhadap prinsip-prinsip pembelajaran yang berbeda dan pendekatan pedagogi TaRL, (2) pemeriksaan mendalam terhadap metodologi dan teknik pembelajaran yang berbeda dan TaRL, dan (3) panduan komprehensif dalam merumuskan sumber daya pedagogis yang didukung oleh pendekatan TaRL. Hasil dari intervensi pedagogis ini telah menghasilkan peningkatan yang dapat dilihat dalam pemahaman guru terhadap pembelajaran yang berbeda dan pendekatan TaRL. Terutama, analisis kuantitatif dari data yang terkumpul menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan secara statistik dalam skor rata-rata sebelum pelatihan, dengan skor rata-rata awal sebesar 50,50, meningkat menjadi 80,62 setelah pelatihan. Selain itu, sejumlah besar guru telah menunjukkan kemampuan dalam merancang modul pengajaran.

Abstract

21st century learning has great challenges for primary school teachers. Teachers must have professional competence to develop 21st century skills-oriented learning. This study aims to produce a training model for elementary school teachers in 21st century learning. This study uses Research and Development with ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate) procedures. The trial design used a one group pretest-posttest experimental design. The effectiveness of the model is measured on the understanding and motivation of teachers during the workshop. The subjects of this study were Muhammadiyah elementary school teachers located in Minggir District, Sleman Regency, DIY. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation, and categorization). The results of the content validity test based on the input of 2 experts who were analyzed using Aiken V showed that in the aspects of content, presentation, and language each got a value of 0.931; 0.918; and 0.934 which means valid. Motivation of 17% of participants is in the high category, 74% is in the medium category, and 9% is in the low category. Self-efficacy, intrinsic values, cognitive strategies, and self-regulation of participants were in the good category. The four supporting factors still need to be improved. While anxiety is in the moderate category, anxiety must be minimized so that the training can be more effective.

Abstract

Masalah kesehatan gigi dan mulut adalah masalah penting yang kerap dihadapi oleh anak-anak, terutama pada anak usia sekolah. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan program edukasi yang dapat memberikan pengalaman baru bagi anak-anak untuk menanamkan kebiasaan pola hidup bersih dan sehat dalam konteks menjaga kesehatan gigi dan mulut. Maka dari itu, dilakukan edukasi cara sikat gigi pada anak dengan tema "Teman KecilĀ : Senyum Sehat, Petualangan Bersama Gigi yang Kuat" diadakan. Kegiatan edukasi ini dilakukan oleh tim dari Program Studi Farmasi Universitas Muhammadiyah Banjarmasin di Panti Asuhan Ar-Risalah. Edukasi ini dilakukan dengan melibatkan sesi presentasi, pembagian leaflet, pemutaran video edukasi, dan demonstrasi praktik sikat gigi. Keluaran kegiatan edukasi ini diukur dengan pembagian pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur pengetahuan peserta sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan intervensi edukasi dilakukan. Hasil post-test menunjukkan bahwasanya ada peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta tentang pentingnya menjaga kebersihan gigi, metode sikat gigi yang benar, dan pencegahan kerusakan gigi. Peserta menunjukkan adanya kepuasan terhadap kegiatan yang terlaksana, utamanya pada elemen praktis dan elemen interaktif. Secara keseluruhan, intervensi edukasi ini dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan praktik untuk menjaga kesehatan gigi dan mulut pada anak-anak di Panti Asuhan Ar-Risalah.

Abstract

Test instruments are crucial assessment aspects for students, utilized to gauge their knowledge abilities during the learning process. Educators or teachers must scrutinize and analyze the tests beforehand to ensure that the questions predominantly assess higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). Learning processes predominantly focusing on lower-order thinking abilities may result in students struggling with questions that require higher-order thinking skills. This study aims to determine the percentage of knowledge dimension aspects, cognitive process dimension, and HOTS content in three supporting books for Science Learning Material in Fourth Grade. It adopts a quantitative descriptive research approach, analyzing a population of 400 multiple-choice questions from three supporting books, with a sample size of 400 questions. Data collection techniques involve observation and documentation methods, utilizing document analysis guideline sheets as instruments. Findings reveal that the percentage of knowledge dimension results across the three supporting books indicate: factual dimension (23.2%, 34%, and 42%), conceptual dimension (54.8%, 47%, and 40%), procedural dimension (19.6%, 16%, and 16%), and metacognitive dimension (2.4%, 3%, and 2%). Regarding cognitive process dimension and HOTS content (C4 to C6), the supporting books yield: remembering level (C1) ranging from 27.2% to 40%, understanding level (C2) ranging from 32.4% to 40%, applying level (C3) ranging from 8% to 12.8%, analyzing level (C4) ranging from 8% to 22%, evaluating level (C5) ranging from 3% to 7.2%, and creating level (C6) ranging from 0% to 1.6%. According to these findings, the three supporting books for Fourth Grade Elementary School Science Learning Material do not adequately meet the criteria for fostering higher-order thinking skills.

Abstract

Multicultural competence is essential for a country that has diversity, such as Indonesia. At the individual level, multicultural competence helps students appear successful in modern society and achieve personal development to a complete or collective level. People with high multicultural competence can work together to reduce intercultural conflict and build prosperity for all humanity. As elementary teacher candidates, elementary teacher education students are expected to have high multicultural competence. This study aimed to measure the multicultural competence of primary teacher education students. The research method used was a survey by a questionnaire distributed to teacher education students. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics. The survey results show that 85 students have very high multicultural competence, 34 students have high multicultural competence, one has medium multicultural competence, and one is very low. Cultural Awareness Competence is 24.57%; understanding of own and others' cultures indicator is 22.52%; Cultural Competence indicator is 24.89%. The Cultural Encounter indicator is 28.02%. It was concluded that elementary teacher education students already have high multicultural competence.
