Abstract

Ikan nila jantan memiliki pertumbuhan yang lebih cepat dibandingkan dengan ikan nila betina. Untuk mencapai hal tersebut, perlu dilakukan maskulinisasi ikan nila. Maskulinisasi merupakan metode sex reversal yang dapat mengarahkan perkembangan kelamin ikan nila betina menjadi ikan nila jantan. Pada penelitian ini digunakan air kelapa untuk mengetahui persentase peningkatan kelamin jantan pada ikan nila. Metode ini menggunakan perbandingan dosis A (0%/L) dan B (30%/L) dengan kepadatan larva ikan nila saat perendaman sebanyak 30 ekor/L. Dari penelitian tersebut menghasilkan persentase kelamin jantan sebesar 65,55% dengan kelangsungan hidup 90%.

Abstract

White shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) is one of the leading export commodities of aquaculture in Indonesia. The success of the White shrimp cultivation system is largely determined by proper planning, especially in terms of the suitability of technical aspects of the construction side. Therefore, an analysis of the technical aspects (construction) of earthen and semi-concrete ponds is needed to determine the growth performance and survival of the cultivated White shrimp. This study aims to evaluate the maintenance of White shrimp up to DOC 58 in earthen and semi-concrete ponds in East Lampung Regency. The study was conducted from July to September 2022 at Tambak Suparman Farm located in Sriminosari Village, Labuhan Maringgai District, East Lampung. The method used in this study is descriptive exploratory through the collection of primary and secondary data. The parameters observed include Mean Body Weight (MBW), Average Daily Growth (ADG), feed conversion ratio (RKP) and survival rate (TKH). The data obtained were then analyzed descriptively in the form of tables. The results of the study showed that the maintenance of vaname shrimp in soil and semi-concrete ponds for 58 days showed MBW values ​​of 9.76 g and 8.01 g; ADG of 0.14 g/day and 0.11 g/day; SR of 64.3% and 77.9%; FCR of 1.65 and 1.49; EP during the maintenance obtained was 60% and 66.89%.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study evaluated the modulation of non-specific immune response, growth, and disease resistance of white shrimp,  Litopenaeus vannamei against infectious myonecrosis virus (IMNV). The first stage of this study evaluated the different dose of k-carrageenan administration i.e. 5, 10, and 15 g/kg feed for four weeks of rearing period, while the later studied evaluated about the frequency of administration i.e. daily, seven days interval, and 14-days interval for five weeks of rearing period. Both stages had positive and negative control and performed in complete randomized design. The parameters of observation consisted of immune parameters, clinical symptoms, growth, and survival. Shrimp were fed three times a day at feeding rate of 4–5% of body weight/day. IMNV Challenge test was performed by feeding the shrimp via oral route at a level 10% of body weight for three consecutive days, followed by 14-days observation. The results showed that shrimp administered with k-carrageenan at a concentration of 15 g/kg feed showed the best performance of all concentration tested. The shrimp’s haemocyte count, phagocytes activity, phenoloxidase activity, and relative growth were 12±0.72×106 cell/mL; 34.67±0.58%; 0.511±0.10; and 86.15% respectively. After challenged, the survival was 85±7.07%. Moreover, application in 14 days at 7-days interval gave 88.57% relative growth and 93±5,8% survival, which were higher than other treatments. The administration of k-carrageenan at concentration of 15 g/kg with 14 days interval on white shrimp juveniles showed higher immunostimulatory effect and better protection against IMNV. Keywords: kappa-carrageenan, immunostimulant, IMNV, Litopenaeus vannamei  ABSTRAK Penelitian ini mempelajari pemberian kappa-karagenan dalam memodulasi respons imun nonspesifik, pertumbuhan, dan resistensi udang vaname Litopenaeus vannamei terhadap infeksi infectious myonecrosis virus (IMNV). Tahap pertama mengetahui dosis pemberian k-karagenan sebesar 5, 10, dan 15 g/kg pakan selama empat minggu pemeliharaan, sedangkan tahap kedua mengevaluasi frekuensi pemberian k-karagenan, yaitu setiap hari, tujuh hari, dan 14 hari secara berulang dengan interval tujuh hari selama lima minggu pemeliharaan. Kedua tahap penelitian menggunakan kontrol positif dan negatif dalam rancangan acak lengkap. Parameter pengamatan terdiri atas respons imun, gejala klinis, pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup udang vaname. Udang diberi makan tiga kali sehari dengan FR 4–5% biomassa/hari. Infeksi IMNV dilakukan secara oral sebesar 10% biomassa selama tiga hari berturut-turut, dan diamati selama 14 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa udang yang diberikan k-karagenan 15 g/kg pakan memperoleh hasil terbaik. Total hemosit, aktivitas fagositosis, aktivitas phenoloxidase, dan pertumbuhan relatif udang masing-masing adalah 12±0,72×106 sel/mL; 34,67±0,58%; 0,511±0,10 dan 86,15%, dengan kelangsungan hidup udang setelah diinfeksi IMNV sebesar 85±7,07%. Frekuensi pemberian 14 hari secara berulang dengan interval tujuh hari memberikan hasil kelangsungan hidup terbaik sebesar 88,57% dan pertumbuhan relatif sebesar 93±5,8%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa, pemberian k-karagenan 15 g/kg dan interval 14 hari menunjukkan respons imun dan perlindungan yang lebih baik terhadap IMNV. Kata kunci: kappa-karagenan, imunostimulan, IMNV, Litopenaeus vannamei

Abstract

Tilapia is an important part of freshwater aquaculture in Indonesia. This fish has a high survivability and tolerance for poor water quality and has become a leading commodity for freshwater aquaculture in several Southeast Asian countries including Indonesia. Probiotics are food additives in the form of live microbes that have a beneficial effect on the host by increasing the balance of microbes in the digestive tract. Tilapia rearing was using a cement pond 4x3 meters with a total of 2 pools. Preparation of the container begins with installing the tarpaulin. After that, clean or rinse the pool. Then the pond is filled with water as high as 30 cm from the beginning of maintenance to harvest and left for 1-2 days. Ponds are aerated to increase oxygen levels in the water. Maintenance was carried out for 30 days until the size was 6-8 cm, with commercial feeding in the form of pf800 which had been mixed with synbiotics. From the results of tilapia rearing, it was concluded that the addition of synbiotics in the feed to improve the health of tilapia seeds during 30 days of maintenance was normal. The addition of sweet potato extract and lactobacillus as probiotics is good for fish health.

Abstract

Male tilapia is preferred by cultivators because it has a higher growth speed or matures quickly (sexual maturity) than female tilapia. Efforts need to be made to increase the production of tilapia by applying masculinization to increase the production of male tilapia. Masculinization activities can be carried out using the hormone 17α-Methyltestoteron. However, the use of these hormones usually leaves a carcinogenic residue which not only does not meet food safety requirements but also endangers consumers. Efforts to masculinize can be done by immersing the larvae in a water solution of honey. Honey contains chrysin which acts as an aromatase inhibitor resulting in increased hormone production and male traits become dominant. The purpose of this activity is to determine the male sex ratio from immersing tilapia larvae in honey solution. The larvae used were 7 days old, then soaking was carried out for 20 hours using honey with a concentration of 15 ml/L capable of producing 76% male seeds.

Abstract

Peningkatan produksi tersebut mengiringi kebutuhan masyarakat yang semakin tinggi. Ikan lele masih menjadi ikan terfavorit di provinsi ini. Hal tersebut dilihat dari permintaan masyarakat yang terus meningkat. UPR Pujakela Farm adalah salah satu unit pembudidaya ikan lele sektor pembenihan ikan. Peningkatan atas permintaan membuat farm ini mulai memperbesar skala budidaya melalui peningkatan produksi. Namun beberapa tahun terakhir farm ini mulai menemui kendala. Kendala yang ada saat ini benih lele mengalami kematian yang sangat tinggi saat memasuki tahap pendederan. Hal tersebut membuat produksi benih lele tidak dapat kontinyu. Pemecahan permasalah tersebut dapat melalui peningkatkan keahlian dalam budidaya ikan lele melalui teknologi pencegahan penyakit ikan dan manajemen kualitas air sehingga jumlah benih yang dihasilkan dapat kontinyu agar dapat berpengaruh terhadap jumlah omset yang diperoleh. Target luaran yang diharapkan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah Aspek pengembangan sumber daya manusia; Aspek peningkatan keberhasilan budidaya ikan lele; dan Aspek pencegahan penyakit dan manajemen kualitas air pada budidaya ikan lele.

Abstract

Kewenangan Kejaksaan didalam menindak Mafia Tanah terletak pada kewenangan Jaksa yang dapat melakukan penyelidikan dan penyidikan apabila berkaitan dengan Tindak Pidana Korupsi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah jenis penelitian normatif dengan pendekatan perUndang-Undangan, pendekatan kasus, dan pendekatan konseptual. Pemberantasan mafia tanah berdasarkan putusan hakim nomor 22/pid.sus-tpk//2022/pt.plg dan nomor 23/pid.sus- tpk//2022/pt.plg, yakni pada kedua putusan terlihat keberhasilan Jaksa pada Kejaksaan Negeri Palembang didalam memberantas mafia tanah. Hakim didalam tingkat banding menguatkan putusan pengadilan tingkat pertama dan mengabulkan dakwaan kedua  subsidiar Penuntut Umum. Pengaturan kewenangan Kejaksaaan didalam pemberantasan mafia tanah di masa mendatang yakni merevisi Petunjuk Teknis Direktorat Jenderal Penanganan Masalah Agraria Pemanfaatan Ruang dan Tanah Nomor 01/JUKNIS/D.VII/2018 tentang Pencegahan dan Pemberantasan Mafia Tanah dengan menambahkan Kejaksaan RI kedalam bagian dari Satuan Tugas Pencegahan dan Pemberantasan Mafia Tanah dengan kewenangan yang dimiliki Jaksa yakni sebagai penyelidik, dan penyidik didalam perkara pidana khusus yang objeknya tanah atau didalam hal ini pula gratifikasi yang dilakukan PNS Badan Pertanahan Nasional Palembang didalam kedua putusan peneliti.

Abstract

The study aimed to analyse dominant factors associated with overweight and obesity among students in Perguruan Cikini Elementary School in Central Jakarta. A cross-sectional study was conducted between March-May 2017 with 145 participants from 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. Data obtained were measurement of body weight and height, physical activity questionnaire for children, food frequency questionnaire and 24-hour food recall. Prevalence of overweight and obesity among students in Perguruan Cikini Elementary School in Central Jakarta was 41.4%. Based on logistic regression, fast food consumption was a dominant factor associated with overweight and obesity among students in Perguruan Cikini Elementary School in Central Jakarta. Students who consumed fast food >3 times/week were 2.42 times more likely to be overweight and obese compared to students who consumed fast food ≤3 times/week.

Abstract

Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Wanita Klas II A Bandar Lampung terletak di Desa Way Hui Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. Lembaga Pemasyarakatan (Lapas) ini untuk memasyarakatan warga binaan yang belum ataupun sudah divonis bersalah dalam tindakan pidana dan diperuntukan khusus untuk wanita. Warga Binaan Pemasyarakatan (WBP) sebagian besar berusia produktif, sehingga perlu mendapatkan perhatian dalam transfer teknologi atau keterampilan. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan pemberdayaan WBP dengan pemberian pelatihan pengolahan aneka produk berbasis ikan (abon, bakso, nugget dan bandeng presto) sehingga berdaya untuk berwirausaha setelah kembali kepada masyarakat. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan melalui pelatihan dan demonstrasi pembuatan produk olahan berbasis ikan serta memberikan stimulan bantuan alat pengolahan ikan. Hasil kegiatan secara keseluruhan menunjukan manfaat dan peningkatan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan WBP. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari antusias dan semangat peserta dalam mengikuti kegiatan. Peserta penyuluhan sudah dapat membuat produk berbagai olahan abon, bakso, dan bandeng presto. Nilai evaluasi pada kegiatan penyuluhan yaitu dari 49,81% menjadi 87,50% atau meningkat sebesar 37,69%. Dengan demikian penyuluhan yang dilakukan diserap dengan cukup baik oleh peserta dan dapat menambah pengetahuan, dan keterampilan.

Abstract

Background: Inadequate breast milk production remains a frequent reason for early supplementation and discontinuation of exclusive breastfeeding. Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum) and moringa (Moringa oleifera) are widely used as natural galactagogues; however, comparative evidence examining their relative effectiveness within the same postpartum population remains limited, particularly in community maternal health settings. Methods: A quantitative quasi-experimental study with a posttest-only control group design was conducted in 2025 in Karawang Regency, Indonesia, and reported in accordance with the TREND statement. A total of 45 postpartum breastfeeding mothers were allocated consecutively by facility to three groups: control (n = 15), fenugreek (n = 15), and moringa (n = 15). No pretest was conducted; therefore, baseline equivalence was not confirmed. The fenugreek group received 500 mg fenugreek seed extract twice daily for 7 days; the moringa group received 250 mg moringa leaf extract twice daily for 7 days — both doses based on published therapeutic evidence. Lactation performance was assessed on day 8 using a validated structured questionnaire and observation sheet (Cronbach’s α = 0.81; CVI = 0.89). Data were analysed using the Kruskal-Wallis test, followed by Mann-Whitney U post hoc comparisons with Bonferroni correction Results: Post-intervention lactation performance scores (mean ± SD) were 5.93 ± 1.03 (control), 8.93 ± 1.03 (fenugreek), and 9.73 ± 0.46 (moringa). The Kruskal-Wallis test showed a significant overall difference (H = 34.21, df = 2, p < 0.001, η² = 0.76). Pairwise comparisons showed significant differences for control vs. fenugreek (U = 4.50, Z = −4.68, p < 0.001, r = 0.85), control vs. moringa (U = 0.00, Z = −5.20, p < 0.001, r = 0.95), and fenugreek vs. moringa (U = 54.00, Z = −2.87, p = 0.004, r = 0.52). Conclusion: Both fenugreek and moringa supplementation significantly improved lactation performance compared with routine care. Moringa demonstrated statistically significantly higher performance than fenugreek. Randomised controlled trials with objective lactation indicators and confirmed baseline equivalence are needed to confirm these findings.
