Abstract

AbstrakMasalah penelitian ini adalah menemukan dan mendeskripsikan fungsi oreng dalam bahasa Lamaholot di Imulolong Kabupaten Lembata, Nusa Tenggara Timur. Inti penelitiannya yaitu pada aspek untuk apa bertutur atau untuk apa berbahasa. Dengan demikian, teori yang digunakan adalah teori pragmatik. Berdasarkan teori pragmatik sejumlah data yang dikumpulkan akan dianalisis dengan mempertimbangkan konteks terjadinya tuturan tersebut. Untuk mendapatkan data tentang fungsi oreng, peneliti menggunakan metode naturalistik di mana sampelnya dipilih secara purposif. Penelitian naturalistik menekankan pada kealamiahan sumber data dengan mengandalkan seluruh gejala sosial kemasyarakatan sebagai sumber penghimpunan data, sehingga membutuhkan pengamatan berperan serta (participant observation). Selain itu, peneliti menggunakan teknik rekam dan melakukan penyimakan berpartisipasi melalui metode simak libat cakap. Pengumpulan data juga dengan menyandingkan pendekatan emik dan etik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fungsi oreng berkenaan dengan empat fungsi pragmatik, yakni (1) fungsi direktif, (2) fungsi ekspresif, (3) fungsi estetik, dan (4) fungsi komunikatif. Fungsi direktif meliputi fungsi memerintah, melarang, permintaan, menasihati, dan presilaan. Fungsi ekspresif meliputi fungsi harapan, kesetiaan atau loyalitas. Fungsi estetik meliputi fungsi simile, repetisi, sinekdoki, dan personifikasi. Fungsi komunikatif meliputi fungsi informatif. Kata kunci: bahasa daerah, fungsi bahasa, oreng;  AbstractThe aim of the research is to find and describe the function of oreng in Lamaholot language in Lembata Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. The research focused on what aspectsor for what the language was uttered. Thereby, the theory used was pragmatic theory that a number of collected data were analyzed by considering the context of having utterances. To obtain the data referring to the function of oreg, the researcher employed naturalistic method that the sampels were taken purposively. Naturalistic research emphasizes on the originality of data sources by setting out all social phenomena as sources of collecting data and requiring participant observation. In addition, the researcher used recording technique and conducte participation through involved conversation observation method. Emic and ethical approaches were administered to collect the data. The results show that orenghas four pragmatic functions, such as (1) directive, (2) expressive, (3) aesthetic, and (4) communicative functions. Directive function is to instruct, prohibit, request, advise, and permit. Expressive function deals with hope and loyalty. Aesthetic function belongs to smile, repetition, synecdoche, and personification. Communicative function is to give information. Keywords: locality language, linguistic function, oreng;

Abstract

The research is about the spell of Ende Language in Uzuzoza village of Ende Regency based on two main problems, that was finding and describing spell’sform and it’s function. For gathering the data, the research used was an interview and listen tomethod with see, and capable techniques. Formal technique analysis is usedas data analysis of this research. The old theory of literature is used of this research with the concideration that the spell developed in the traditional era in animism and dynamism by using oral languageas the main medium of its delivery. After the data were analysis, the result found that, the spell of Ende language in Uzuzoza village of Ende Regency is generally in the form of poetry because taxtation patters were a-a-a-a, have taxtation (rhymes), expecially intonation, that is the persuasion of vowels at the and of word in lines and the linesof that spells is contentsor messages. Lingustically, the spells using personal pronouns, expecially the use of second personal pronouns and third personal pronouns using repetation, and it consistof statement which has adverb of time, adverb of place, and indicating of prohibition. Funcionality, the spell of Ende language in Uzuzoza village of Ende Regency serves as the tribute the “highest” subject which makes them exist and as the symbol of their trus to the ancestors.

Abstract

This article explores the poet John Dami Mukese's creative process in creating his poetry. John Dami Mukese is an Indonesian poet born in Flores, a Catholic priest who wrote about 250 poems. This study uses an expressive approach, which is an approach that emphasizes the study of literary authors. The method used is the codification method, which is the observation method by tracing the colophon in each poem. Colophons are notes at the end of a text that informs the author's place, time, and name. The analysis used is a qualitative analysis by describing the poet's creative process in creating his poetic works. The study results show that the creative process of poet John Dami Mukese began at the age of 27 years, namely, in 1977. The first three years (1977-1979) were the beginning of his creative process by finding the correct pronunciation by his personality, educational background, and profession. Over the next four years (1980-1984) was the peak period of creativity and productivity of poet John Dami Mukese in creating his poetry. From 1985 until the end of 2017, it was an anticlimax in the creative process. The poems of John Dami Mukese with religious themes based on social problems show a very deep sensitivity to the social reality that is taking place in Flores society.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penulisan ini adalah untuk memaparkan khazanah teks ritual letu umn  pada etnik Flores Timur. Ritual letu umne merupakan ritual menutup lubang tanah yang telah digali untuk membuat rumah tempat tinggal etnik tersebut. Ritual tersebut tetap dijalankan sebagai warisan dari pada leluhur secara turun temurun dan tetap dilaksanakan hingga saat ini. Rumusan masalah yang diangkat pada tulisan ini adalah;1) bagaimanakah bentuk khazanah teks ritual adat letu umne pada etnik Flores Timur NTT; 2) bagaimanakah fungsi khazanah teks ritual adat letu umne pada etnik Flores Timur NTT; 3) bagaimanakah makna khazanah teks ritual adat letu umne pada etnik Flores Timur NTT. Tujuannya adalah untuk menemukan dan mendeskripikan bentuk, fungsi dan makna khazanah  teks ritual letu umne pada etnik Flores Timur.  Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif untuk memaparkan teks ritual letu umne Penelitian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat khazanah kebahasaan dalam kajian linguistik yakni bentuk morfologi yang meliputi nomina, verba, pronomina, adverbial, dan numeralia. Untuk fungsi Bahasa meliputi fungsi interpersonal dan fungsi kekerabatan, sedangkan makna yag terkandung dalam tek meliputi makna religius, perlindungan dan makna simbol seperti tuak “moke” , dan braha “kapas”

Abstract

Verbal abuse has become a logical consequence of communication events in social interactions. This research examines verbal violence in the short story of Dorothea Rosa Herliany's Jagal. The research method used is the literature method with a qualitative descriptive approach. The theory used is the theory of verbal violence. The results of this study indicate that verbal violence in the short story Jagal by Dorothea Rosa Herliany occurs between the main character Karto and the local community in the form of phrases and sentences.

Abstract

The criticism in Iwan Fals' song aims to remind the people's representatives in parliament to sincerely and wholeheartedly fight for the welfare of the community. By avoiding conspiracy through corruption, collusion, and nepotism against community development funds. Thus, a people's representative must continue to act as a channel for people's aspirations through various policies regarding the people in parliament.

Abstract

Karya sastra merupakan karya universal interpretatif. Karya yang tidak membahasakan dan menyajikan sesuatu realitas secara matematis, tetapi justru memberikan ruang dan peluang yang bebas bagi para pembacanya untuk memahami dan menafsirkan apa yang tersurat pada karya sastra tersebut. Artikel ini membahas tentang potret lokalitas unsur intrinsik dalam novel Lembata, Sebuah Novel karya F. Rahardi. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data diperoleh dengan teknik baca dan catat. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa novel Lembata, Sebuah Novel (a) bertemakan kemiskinan; (b) memiliki plot kausalis dan naratologi; (c) diperani oleh tokoh-tokoh cerita antara lain, Romo Pedro, Ola, Uskup, Romo Deken, Romo Alex, dan Ayah Ola; (d) memiliki setting semua daerah di Flores, pada area Keuskupan Larantuka, terutama Dekenat Lembata. Juga Jakarta dan beberapa tempat di Eropa dan Amerika; (e) memiliki amanat atau pesan kepada Gereja, LSM, dan pemerintah untuk berpihak kepada rakyat secara maksimal: merencanakan dan memulai pada apa yang sudah dipunyai rakyat; (f) sudut pandang menggunakan persona ketiga, yakni Dia dan Aku; dan (g) memiliki gaya bahasa hiperbola, retorik retisense, dan paradoks.Kata kunci: novel, Lembata, lokalitas, struktur, karya sastra Literary works are interpretive universal works. Works that do not discuss and present a mathematical reality, but instead provide free space and opportunities for the readers to understand and interpret what is written in the literary work. This article discusses the portrait of the locality of the intrinsic elements in the novel Lembata, A Novel by F. Rahardi. The research approach used is a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection was obtained by reading and note-taking techniques. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the novel Lembata, A Novel (a) has the theme of poverty; (b) has a causal and narratological plot; (c) the characters of the story, among others, Father Pedro, Ola, Bishop, Father Deken, Father Alex, and Ayah Ola; (d) has the setting of all areas in Flores, in the area of the Diocese of Larantuka, especially the Dean of Lembata. Also Jakarta and some places in Europe and America; (e) has a mandate or message to the Church, NGOs, and the government to side with the people to the fullest: planning and starting on what the people already have; (f) point of view using the third person, namely He and I; and (g) have hyperbole, retaliatory rhetoric, and paradoxes.Keywords: novel, Lembata, locality, structure, literary works.

Abstract

Tulisan ini membicarakan keragaman etnik Lio, secara khusus tentang keragaman seni sastra dan lagu, dengan dua masalah pokok, yaitu (1) apakah sikap hidup Etnik Lio yang tercermin dalam lagu berbahasa daerah Lio?, dan (2) bagaimanakah unsur-unsur puitika dalam lagu berbahasa daerah Lio? Metode dokumentasi digunakan dalam pengumpulan data, sedangkan teori yang digunakan adalah teori Puitika Jakobson, dan Pandangan Dunia Goldman. Analisis data menunjukkan bahwa lagu Ende Deku Dengu ciptaan Iakobus Ari, dari aspek sikap hidup dan sosiologi menggambarkan kehidupan masyarakat di Ende sangat toleran, antara satu dengan yang lain. Toleransi, serta persatuan dan kesatuan inilah yang membuat orang (etnik) lain yang datang ke Ende merasa hidupnya nyaman, aman, tenteram, dan damai. Hal lain yang membuat orang berbondong-bondong mendatangi Ende adalah keajaiban alam danau Kelimutu dan sarung Kelimara yang kemilau. Dari aspek puitikia, lagu Ende Deku Dengu mengandung sifat simbolis dan multidimensional, seperti stilistika dan puitika, rima, dan citraan, metafora dan metonimi.

Abstract

This study provides an overview of the speech acts of the farming community in Kokotobo Village, Adonara Tengah District, East Flores Regency. The purpose of this writing is to find data and a clear picture of how the directive actions of the farmer community in Kokotobo Village, Adonara Tengah District, East Flores Regency. The method used is the method of engaging free listening proficiently. The technique used is observation, record and note, while the theory used is pragmatic theory. The results of this study indicate that in the directive speech act of the farmer community in Kokotobo Village, Adonara Tengah District, East Flores Regency, it was found: (1) the form of directive speech instructs, the form of advising, the form suggests (2) the meaning of the act said the mutual directive, the meaning of information (3) the speech act function of the request directive, the question function, the command function and the advice function.

Abstract

Tujuan penulisan ini adalah mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan tentang (1) hakikat pragmatik; (2) tindak tutur; (3) konteks; dan (4) konsep muka dalam pragmatik. Data penulisan ini merupakan data kepustakaan dan dianalisis dengan teknik kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, pertama, pragmatik merupakan kajian tentang makna kontekstual. Artinya, pragmatik merupakan studi tentang bagaimana agar lebih banyak yang disampaikan daripada yang dituturkan. Kedua, salah satu konsep dan teori penting dari pragmatik adalah teori tindak tutur. Ketiga, pragmatik mempertimbangkan konteks tuturan; dan Keempat, pragmatik mengkaji ungkapan dari jarak hubungan. Jarak hubungan yang diacu di sini adalah jarak hubungan antara penutur dengan mitra tutur. Dalam konteks ini, tindak tutur mengedepankan dan mempertimbangkan muka.
