Abstract

This study aims to formulate a strategic development plan for Lake Seper as a locally-based tourist destination in Lembean Pilot Tourism Village, North Minahasa Regency, using the SOAR (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, Results) analysis framework. This appreciative and forward-looking approach is employed to identify and integrate internal strengths and community aspirations with external opportunities and expected outcomes in a participatory manner. Data were collected through direct field observations, in-depth interviews with key local stakeholders (village officials, community leaders, and tourism actors), and document analysis of existing development plans and policy frameworks. The findings reveal that Lake Seper possesses significant natural and cultural assets, underpinned by strong community engagement in resource management and conservation. The development strategy focuses on multi-stakeholder collaboration, infrastructure enhancement, and community empowerment through capacity-building programs. The implementation of this strategy is expected to increase tourist arrivals, stimulate local economic growth, and promote the preservation of cultural heritage and environmental sustainability in alignment with ecological balance.

Abstract

Sport tourism is an alternative tourism model with significant potential to drive economic growth andjob creation, especially in the era of the creative economy. This study aims to identify the potentials,challenges, and development strategies of sport tourism to enhance employment opportunities in thetourism sector and local economies. A descriptive-qualitative approach was employed, utilizingliterature studies, field observations, and interviews with tourism actors, sports communities, and localstakeholders. The results indicate that sport tourism can generate a variety of direct and indirect jobopportunities, including sports guides, event organizers, fitness instructors, and supporting MSMEs inNorth Sulawesi. Therefore, collaboration among stakeholders, infrastructure development, and humanresource training oriented toward the integration of sports, tourism, and creative innovation areessential. This study concludes that developing sport tourism is a relevant and sustainable strategy tosupport the creative economy and broaden employment access at both local and national levels

Abstract

The community service program with the students focuses on Pulisan Village, which is in the Likupang KEK (Special Economic Zone) area and a super-priority tourism destination. Pulisan has many attractions, including beaches, islands, and sea. However, Pulisan also needs new tourist attractions, specifically terrestrial tourist attractions, to distribute tourist visits well. Therefore, a community service program with students is carried out in collaboration with partners, namely tourism care groups entitled Designing the Savana Hill Ecotourism Tracking Route in Pulisan Village, Likupang, North Minahasa Regency. The method used was direct assistance to the community, in this case, the Pulisan Village tourism awareness group responsible for developing the Pulisan Tourism Village. The design of the ecotourism tracking route used mapping technology to determine the direction and location points created, as well as stopping points along the Pulisan Savana Hill tracking route. With the Savana Hill tracking route, tourist visits are focused on the sea, islands, and beaches, and they are distributed to Savana Hill using the designed tracking route. The community service program with students resulted in an output, namely the design of a tracking route with three stopping points (shelters).

Abstract

his study aims to analyze the impact of front office service quality on customer satisfaction in handling guest complaints at HARRIS Hotel Batam Center. The research method used is a qualitative approach, gathering data through observations made during an internship at HARRIS Hotel Batam Center. Data collection is conducted using a combination of documentation through reviews to determine the volume of complaints about the hotel and assess how front office service quality impacts customer satisfaction. The results show that front office service quality has a significant effect on customer satisfaction. This finding suggests that improving service quality in the front office can enhance customer satisfaction, which in turn can increase customer loyalty and benefit the hotel. This study contributes to hotel management's efforts to improve service quality and customer satisfaction

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of social media as a promotional tool for homestays in increasingtourist visits to Budo Tourism Village. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach withdata collection techniques including observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The mainfocus is on three social media platforms—Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok used by homestaymanagers and local tourism actors. The findings reveal that consistent and creative use of social mediacan expand promotional reach, build a positive destination image, and attract visitors, particularlyfrom the younger generation. Moreover, local community involvement in content creation enhances theauthenticity of the tourism village narrative. These findings offer practical contributions to thedevelopment of community-based digital promotion strategies in rural tourism destinations.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development and management strategies of homestays in Kulu TourismVillage as part of efforts to improve service quality and community-based tourism attractiveness. Theresearch employed a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including in-depthinterviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The findings reveal that the developmentstrategies focus on enhancing local human resource capacity through hospitality training, digitalpromotion, and the utilization of local cultural and natural assets. Meanwhile, the managementstrategies emphasize community-based governance, collaboration with village authorities and tourismagencies, and service standardization. Major challenges include limited infrastructure, humanresources, and access to digital marketing. Therefore, a sustainable collaborative approach involvinglocal communities, government, and tourism stakeholders is essential to support homestays as a pillarof the local economy in Kulu Tourism Village
