Abstract

Abstract: This study titled the form and meaning of the word in syair Abdul Muluk by Raja Ali Haji. The reason why researchers chose the form and meaning of the word as a research study because many words are difficult to understand for researchers as lay people. Apart from that, not everyone can understand the form and meaning of the word or language presented in the poem. Moreover, today the rapid development of technology and communication is such that old literary works are abandoned and can be considered almost extinct. This research is a descriptive qualitative research that describes and describes the results of research that have found various forms of words, namely, primitives, connected forms, repeating forms, lexem alloys, and compound forms. The words identified by the author number 1514 words. The results of the identification of 1514 words are the basic forms with 767 words. Word form, which also appears a lot, is the form of the number of 663 words, then the repetition form is 65 words, lexem alloys are 15 words and the compound form is 4 words. The meanings examined in this study are lexical meanings, grammatical meanings, text meanings, and idiomic meanings.Key Words: form, meaning, word, poem

Abstract

Abstract : This research is titled Illocutionary Speech Act On A Collection Of Short Stories Karyamin’s Smile By Ahmad Tohari. The purpose of this research is to describe (1) illocutionary language acts on a collection of short stories Karyamin’s Smile by Ahmad Tohari; (2) function illocutionary speech act on a collection of short stories karyamin’s smile by Ahmad Tohari. This type of research is descriptive research, ie solving existing problems based on existing data. Sources of data in this study are the pronunciation interpersonal words on a collection of short stories Karyamin’s Smile by Ahmad Tohari. Data analyzed using Miles and Huberman model by reducing data, present the data, and draw a conclusion from the research. Based on the research, it is found that 65 illocutionary language act consisting of the form of illocutionary language acts assertive, directive, commissive, expressive and declarative. The details of this information (1) the form of illocutionary assertive language acts are 27 expression; (2) the form of a directive illocutionary language sentences number 29; (3) form commissive illocutionary language expression was 6; (4) form illocutionary speech deeds expressive speech was 2; and (5) a declarative illocutionary language act was 1 speech. In this research also found the function of the act of speech illocution consisting of competitive, convivial, and collaborative functions. Competitive function found 29 speeches, convivial 8 speech, and collaborative 28 speech.Key Words: form of illocution, function of illocution, Karyamin’s Smile

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to describe the formation of interrogative sentences in the Knight-warrior lil'maldhita works Ki Suratno. This study used a descriptive method with documentation. The results showed that the formation of interrogative sentences contained in Knight-warrior lil'maldhita works Ki Suratno five, namely (1) the formation of interrogative sentences requesting recognition answer "yo / friend (yes)" or "does / does not (not)", or "yo / friend (yes)" or "does not (not)", (2) interrogative sentences which seek answers about one of the sentences formed with the help wondering what the word. Who, where, how, when and why (what, who, where, how and when) according to which part of the sentence in question, (3) interrogative sentences are the answer, ask 'why' was formed with the help wondering why the word or why (why or why), (4) interrogative sentences which seek answers in the form of opinions (about being asked) was formed with the help of words wondering how, how, or how (and how), and (5) of interrogative sentences that justifies, in truth expecting answers to strengthen asked. Interrogative sentences contained in the Knight-warrior lil'maldhita of one hundred and twenty-seven data, among others, (1) Liripun how ?: (2) the truth of how Yayi ?: (3) What ?: tetimbanganmu respectively (4) That the Father? and (5) Then his yayi king ?.Key Words: Interrogative Sentences, Knight-warrior lil'maldhita

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to the persuasive speech technique used by Ustadz Yusuf Mansyur in his lecture. This research is qualitative descriptive study. The object of this research is the persuasive speech of Ustadz Yusuf Mansyur. The date ware obtained by using see-record techniques and the two video documentation of Ustadz Yusuf Mansyur. Research results in the form of persuasive speech technique in classification lectures Ustadz Yusuf Mansyur. Based on the date analysis notes that the persuasive speech technique used by Ustadz Yusuf Mansyur was (1) direct persuasive, (2) indirect persuasive, (3) refenrence persuasive, (4) criterion persuasive, (5) cause effect persuasive, (6) figure speech persuasive, (7) analogy persuasive, and (8) threats persuasive. The eight persuasive techniques used by ustadz Yusuf Mansyur, persuasive speech technique using causal persuasive technique is most often used.Keys Words : Persuasive Speech, Persuasive Specch Tecnique, and Lecture.

Abstract: This research discusses about comparison declarative speech meaningful imperative in novel Tebusan Darah with novel Hempasan gelombang. This research used by qualitative approach and descriptive method that aims to describe declarative speeches in novel Tebusan darah with Novel Hempasan gelombang and their comparison. In this research, researcher used documentation collection data techniques, and then classified by their form or type of declarative speech meaningful imperative. Abstract

Abstract: This study, entitled The ambiguity in the Act No. 39 of 1999 on Human Rights. This study aimed to describe the types of indicators causes ambiguity and ambiguities contained in Law No. 39 of 1999 on Human Rights. The research is a qualitative research with descriptive methods. Data of this study are the verses contained in Law No. 39 of 1999 on Human Rights. The results of the research I have found in this study is in Law No. 39 of 1999 on Human Rights, there is a paragraph that is ambiguous, with the kind of level of grammatical ambiguity at the level of morphological and grammatical ambiguity at the level syntactic level. Among the types of ambiguity, ambiguous dominant contained in Law No. 39 of 1999 on Human Rights is the kind of level of grammatical ambiguity at the level of syntax. Ambiguities contained in Law No. 39 of 1999 on Human Rights of which cause for reference are not clear, the composition of the structure of phrases and sentences, and polysemy.Key words: ambiguity, the Law on Human Rights, the type of ambiguity, the indicators cause ambiguity.

Abstract

Abstract: The frequency of use of Japanese is defined as the level of frequency or infrequentness of language activities or language activities of students of the Japanese Language Education Study Program in the form of listening, speaking, reading and writing activities indicated by adverbs of frequency, such as always, often, rarely, and never. The purpose of this study was to find out how high the frequency of using Japanese by students of the Japanese Language Education Study Program, Riau University. The method used in this research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. Quantitative descriptive is a type of research that is used to explain a phenomenon as it is by using numbers that describe the characteristics of the subject. The results showed that the level of frequency of using Japanese is in the category of rarely and never using Japanese. Factors causing linguistic input are less quantity, teaching and learning strategy factors applied by lecturers do not encourage students to use Japanese more, environmental factors do not stimulate the growing need for Japanese.Key Words: frequency, use of Japanese, causative factor

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to describe the form and function of directive speech acts in novel Jilbab Traveler Love Sparks in Korea by Asma Nadia. This research is descriptive qualitative research. To collect the data, the researcher used documentation techniques. Based on the data analysis that has been done, the researcher found 244 data with sub-divisions (a)requestives 41 data and divided into several functions such as: requesting function 17 data, bagged function 1 data, praying function 3 data, inviting function 6 data, hopping function 13 data, and invite and hope function 1 data. (b) questions 69 data and serve as asking, (c) requirement 45 data and divided into several function such as: commanding function 7 data, demanding function 12 data, directing function 4 data, requiring function 18 data, requirement function 3 data, and setting function 1 data. (d) prohibitives 9 data and divided into several function such as: prohibit function 8 data and limiting function 1 data. (e) permissives 6 data and divided into several function such as: approving function 5 data and allowing function 1 data. Abstract

Abstract: This research is entitled Deixis in the Batak Hata Novel Si Tumoing: Pasiding Holang Padimpos Holong Works by Saut Poltak Tambunan. The background of this research is that the researcher wants to describe how the use of person deixis, place deixis, and time deixis. The purpose of this study is to describe the use of deixis persona, place deixis, and time deixis. This research is a qualitative descriptive study that describes the results of the research conducted. Based on the data collection techniques carried out in this study, there were 648 data. Through the data collection techniques carried out identified 533 person deixis, 70 datadeixis, and 45 data in the Deixis in the Batak Hata Novel Si Tumoing: Pasiding Holang Padimpos Holong Works by Saut Poltak Tambunan.Key Words: Deixis, the definition of deixis, a type of deixis.
