This research aims to describe the types and meanings that appear in lexical cohesion in the novel Pergi by Tere Liye. The benefits of this research are theoretical and practical benefits. This research uses descriptive qualitative recearch. The data of this research are in the form of words and phrases contained in the novel Pergi by Tere Liye, the source of data in this study is a collection of texts in the novel Pergi by Tere Liye. In this research, the writer uses descriptive method, using documentation technique, namely reading and taking notes. The data analysis technique uses three stages, namely, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The validity of this research data uses triangulation theory. based on the results of the research found, there are as many as 97 lexical cohesion data in the novel Pergi by Tere Liye. The results of the lexical cohesion research data contained in the novel Pergi by Tere Liye include the types of repetitions as many as 55 data, which consists of 12 data epizeukis repetitions, 3 data repetition of tautotes, 14 data of anaphora repetitions, 11 data of epistropha repetition, simploke repetition of 3 data, 9 data for mesodiplosis repetition, 2 data for epanalepsis repetition, and 1 data for anadiplosis repetition. Then the type of synonymous lexical cohesion is 6 data, antonym is 18 data, collocation is 6 data, hyponym is 5 data, and finally equivalence 7 data.Key words: lexical cohesion, novel Pergi, Tere Liye

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan teknik retorika dan mendeskripsikan tujuan retorika. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Data penelitian yang penulis ambil berupa kata berbentuk frasa, klausa, dan kalimat dalam teks hasil dari transkrip yang dilakukan pada video Rocky Gerung dalam Indonesia Lawyers Club dan CNN Indonesia. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah 31 video yang terdiri dari 25 video Indonesia Lawyers Club dan CNN Indonesia. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik unduh, kemudian simak dan catat. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengidentifikasi, mengklasifikasi, membahas, memamparkan, dan menyimpulkan data. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan teknik ethos, pathos, dan logos, serta tujuan retorika.

Abstract: This study discusses the meaning of epistemic modality. The purpose of this study is to explain the meaning of modality osore ga aru. The data is a corpus taken from the website ejje.weblio.jp. This is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data analysis used the distribution method and the immediate constituent. It has been found that osore ga aru can include the meaning of 'possibility' which serves to express conjecture concerns or fears based on the speaker's conclusion, express conjecture concerns or fears based on the speaker's beliefs, express conjecture concerns or fears from a situation and conclude it, express conjecture concerns or the speaker's fear of the subject's actions.Key Words: Epistemic Modality, Meaning, Possibility

Abstract: This research discusses about code switching which are contained in One Ok Rock Song on the album of Jinsei x Kimi. The purpose of this research is to identify the types and forms from code switching contained in One Ok Rock Song on the album of Jinsei x Kimi. This research used qualitative research methods with listening and note-taking techniques. The data in this study amounted to twenty songs from the research conducted it was found that there are two types of code switching which is,eksternal code switching and internal code switching. For the form of code switching also found two forms which is code switching intersentential switching forms and intra sentential switching forms.Key Words: Code Switching, Album, Song

Abstract: This research is entitled language politeness on Refly Harun's Youtube channel comments with the topic of Jakarta not flooding 2021. The purpose of this study is to describe comments that are in accordance with the principle of language politeness and that violate the principle of language politeness. The method used is a descriptive-synchronous method by describing qualitative data. Furthermore, the results of this study found 27 utterances that were in accordance with the adherence to the principle of language politeness and 9 violations of the principle of language compliance from a total of 225 data. The principle of politeness in question includes: (A) maxim of wisdom 2 data, (B) maxim of generosity of 2 data, (C) maxim of awarding 10 data, (D) maxim of simplicity of 1 data, (E) maxim of manufacturing of 2 data, and (F) maxim of sympathy of 10 data. violations of the principle of language compliance include: (A) 5 data discretion maxim, (B) 3 data award maxim, and (C) 1 data sympathy maxim.Keywords: adherence to the principle of civility, violation of the principle of civility, comments

Abstract: This study aims to describe and categorize the form of predicate and the type of predicate word class contained in the news text of the main page of the Riau Pos Daily. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive analysis research method that aims to clearly explain the data described about the form of predicates and the types of predicate word classes contained in the Riau Pos Daily. The source of this research data is the news text about the Covid-19 Pandemic on the main page of the Riau Pos Daily. This research was conducted in Pekanbaru, Riau. The data in this study is a predicate in a sentence in a news text. The data are analyzed, then classified according to the form and category of the word class. Based on the results of the study, 3 predicate forms and 4 categories of word classes were found with a total of 117 data. The first division of the data is (1) word-shaped predicates totaling 73 data, (2) phrase-shaped predicates totaling 36 data, and (3) clause-shaped predicates totaling 8 data. The division of the two data is (1) verb category predicates totaling 72 data, (2) predicates categorized as nomina as many as 10 data, (3) adverbial category predicates as many as 27 data, (4) numeralia category predicates as many as 6 data, and there are 2 particle-shaped data.Keywords : predicate, word class, predicate form, category

ABSTRACT : Analysis of Language Errors at the Syntax Level on the Blog of 2017 Indonesian Language and Literature Education Students, Riau University. This study aims to (1) identify and describe the form of language errors in the phrase field on the blog of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Students Class of 2017, Riau University. (2) Identify and describe the form of language errors in the sentence field on the blog of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Students Class of 2017, Riau University. (3) Identify and describe the factors that cause language errors on the blog of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Students Class of 2017, Riau University. This type of research uses qualitative research with qualitative descriptive methods. Abstract: Functional Language in the Indonesian National Police. A Study: Semantics. The purpose of this research is to (1) analyze the forms of functional language in the Indonesian National Police. (2) Analyzing Functional Language Function in the Police of the Republic of Indonesia. (3) Analyzing the Meaning of Functional Language in the Police of the Republic of Indonesia. The Approach Used In This Research Is Qualitative Research. The Method Used Is The Method To Listen, Record And Note. Listening and Recording Research Objects Are Done By Listening To The Language Used In The Police, In Other Words The Listening Method Using A Recorder. When observing written data, what the research does is read the entire contents of the required data repeatedly and then records the form, meaning and function of functional language. The technique of collecting data in this study is a note taking technique. Data Analysis Techniques In This Research Is To Identify, Classify, Analyze, Determine, Describe And Summarize The Form, Meaning And Function Of Functional Language In The Police Of The Republic Of Indonesia. Sources of data in this study are functional languages in the Indonesian National Police. Based on the research conducted by the author, it can be concluded that there are 2 forms of language in the functional language of the Police, namely the form of words and phrases. Word Form Consists Of 15 Data And Phrase Form Consists Of 71 Data. The meaning contained in the functional language of the police is the meaning of orders or directions in the functional language of the police. This Meaning is Analyzed Using the Meanings of the Terms in the Police Functional Language. Language Functions Available in Police Functional Languages , namely, MetalingualFunctions , Directive,FunctionsFunctions Interpersonal (Progmatics), andFunctions Referential.Keywords: Police Functional Language, Semantics Abstrak: Bahasa Fungsional di Kepolisian Republik Indonesia. Sebuah Kajian : Semantik. Tujuan Penelitian Ini Adalah Untuk (1) Menganalisis Bentuk-Bentuk Bahasa Fungsional Di Kepolisian Republik Indonesia. (2) Menganalisis Fungsi Bahasa Fungsional Di Kepolisian Republik Indonesia. (3) Menganalisis Makna Yang Terdapat Pada Bahasa Fungsional Di Kepolisian Republik Indonesia. Pendekatan Yang Dipakai Dalam Penelitian Ini Adalah Penelitian Kualitatif. Metode Yang Digunakan Adalah Metode Simak, Rekam Dan Catat. Menyimak Dan Merekam Objek Penelitian Dilakukan Dengan Menyimak Bahasa Yang Dipakai Di Kepolisian, Dengan Kata Lain Metode Simak Rekam Menggunakan Alat Perekam. Saat Mengamati Data Tertulis, Yang Dilakukan Oleh Penelitian Adalah Membaca Keseluruhan Isi Data Yang Diperlukan Secara Berulangulang Kemudian Mencatat Bentuk, Makna Dan Fungsi Bahasa Fungsional. Teknik Pengumpulan Data Dalam Penelitian Ini Adalah Teknik Catat. Teknik Analisis Data Dalam Penelitian Ini Adalah Mengidentifikasi, Mengklasifikasi, Menganalisis, Menentukan, Memaparkan Dan Menyimpulkan Bentuk, Makna Dan Fungsi Bahasa Fungsional Di Kepolisian Republik Indonesia. Sumber Data Pada Penelitian Ini Adalah Bahasa Fungsional Di Kepolisian Republik Indonesia. Berdasarkan Penelitian Yang Dilakukan Oleh Penulis Dapat Disimpulkan Bahwa Bentuk Bahasa Yang Terdapat Dalam Bahasa Fungsional Kepolisian Ada 2 Bentuk Yaitu Bentuk Kata Dan Bentuk Frasa. Bentuk Kata Terdiri Dari 15 Data Dan Bentuk Frasa Terdiri Dari 71 Data. Adapun Makna Yang Terdapat Dalam Bahasa Fungsional Kepolisian Adalah Berupa Makna Pada Perintah Atau Arahan Dalam Bahasa Fungsional Kepolisian. Makna Ini Dianalisis Menggunakan Makna Istilah Yang Terdapat Dalam Bahasa Fungsional Kepolisian. Fungsi Bahasa Yang Terdapat Pada Bahasa Fungsional Kepolisian Yaitu, Fungsi Metalingual, Fungsi Direktif, Fungsi Interpersonal (Progmatik), Dan Fungsi Referensial.Kata Kunci: Bahasa Fungsional Kepolisian, Semantik

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to look at the style of language contained in the lyrics of the song Noah album Keterkaitan Keterikatan after 7 years of not releasing a new album. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques observing and taking notes. Data analysis techniques used start from identifying, classifying, analyzing, explaining, and concluding which is better known as descriptive analysis. As a result, from 47 datums, 4 language styles were found, namely repetition language style; 1) alliteration 2) assonance 3) epizeuksis 4) anaphora, comparative figurative language; 1) personification, conflicting language style; 1) hyperbole 2) climax, and linking language style; 1) euphemism. The writer concludes that the lyrics of Noah's album, Keterkaitan Keterikatan, are dominant in the language style of comparison and repetition. This shows the sadness about love which is emphasized in the language style of repetition and is illustrated through inanimate objects with the style of comparison.Keywords: Language Style, Song Lyrics, Noah
