Abstract

This research aimed to produced the module based context model of writing essay. The development of the modul model were grounded by a crucial problem, students have a low ability in writing essayby productive teaching facility or the teaching material, the teacher tend to deliver the material based on memorize context, not a synthetic thinking, so that the students fell bored and annoyed,and the teaching material was not focused in increasing students ability. Kind of this research is research and development. Research procedure used 4-D model is Define,Design, Development, and Disseminate. Module draft developed then validated by three expert judgement. After module in validated, the module stride was tested on student at class X SMA1Rantauprapat. The data obtained to be analyzed descriptively.This research found that (1) module based context of writing essay which was developed, (2) module based context of writing essay have been practice to use in writing essay leraning, and (3) module based context of writing essay have been effective in increasing student activities and motivations on studied writing learning

Abstract

This study aims to produce a valid, effective, and practical context-based review writing model that can be use. The development of this model is motivated by a crucial problem where students are still low in writing reviews. This is due to less productive teaching materials and teachers tend to convey material at the rote level, not yet touching on synthetic thinking. As a result, students become bored and uncomfortable in learning to write reviews practically. This type of research is research and development using the ADDIE model is Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. This context-based review writing model was developed through stages starting from the prototype stage, expert validation, to evaluation. Testing of this model was carried out on grade XI students of General High School 7 Padang Bolak. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires, observations, and in-depth interviews. The data obtained is done by analyzing descriptively. The findings of this study are a valid, practical, and effective context-based review writing model that can increase students' motivation in learning to write reviews.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the correlation of integrated principals' transformational leadership on the performance of teachers at SMA N 1 Medan City. The problems found in the field are the low ability of school principals in motivating teachers to work and innovate. This type of research is quantitative research using a survey method involving 80 teachers as respondents. Data collection techniques were carried out by distributing questionnaires to teachers, structured interviews, and in-depth observations. Data were analyzed by t test and f test. Data analysis was carried out by simple regression to determine the relationship of each variable X to Y, then using multiple regression formulas to determine the contribution of X1 and X2 together to variable Y. Before testing the hypothesis, the classical assumption was first tested, which consisted of from the normality assumption test, heteroscedasticity test, serial correlation test and multicollinearity test, and the second is regression analysis test. The findings of this study are that the principal's transformational leadership can improve the performance of teachers to be creative and innovate.
