Abstract

Penelitian ini dijalankan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendiskripsikan sejumlah kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh para siswa dalam melakukan penyelesaian soal teorema pythagoras. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek sejumlah 25 orang siswa kelas VIII SMP NEGERI 1 Pasawahan Purwakarta tahun akademik 2020/2021. Instrumen yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini ialah lembar tes soal Teorema Pythagoras yang didalamnya memuat 5 buah soal dalam bentuk uraian. Teknik pengolahan data dilakukan dengan cara menghitung persentase kesalahan siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terdapat beberapa kesalahan yang dialami siswa dalam mengerjakan soal Teorema Pythagoras yakni (1) kurang begitu menguasai konsep ataupun prasyarat tentang teorema pythagoras; (2) kesalahan dalam menggunakan rumus Teorema Pythagoras;(3) kurangnya ketelitian dalam menghitung serta proses yang digunakan untuk melakukan penyelesaian soal yang kurang begitu tepat; (4) tidak membuat model matematika; dan (5) tidak memahami menyederhanakan bentuk akar kuadrat. Kesalahan yang paling banyak ditemui adalah kesalahan terhadap konsep, yang mana kesalahan terhadap konsep ini banyak dialami para siswa ketika mengerjakan soal teorema pythagoras. Kurangnya penguasaan terhadap materi prasyarat, kurangnya ketelitian pada saat menjawab sejumlah soal, serta kurangnya pemahaman bahasa soal secara optimal merupakan aspek penyebab munculnya kesalahan yang dialami oleh para peserta didik dalam mengerjakan soal teorema pythagoras.

Abstract

This research is based on the level of mathematical reasoning ability and Self confidence which is owned by Students who are still relatively low. then the purpose of this study are: 1) to know the level of students' reasoning ability seen from the achievement of minimum mastery criteria (KKM); 2) to know the students' perceptions of each indicator of mathematical reasoning ability; 3) to know the level of Self confidence categories of students on each item statement. This research uses qualitative approach with explorative descriptive method. Subjects in this study were students of class XI IPS1 which amounted to 20 students in SMA Putra Juang academic year 2017/2018. The research instrument consisted of test question instrument, non test instrument in the form of questionnaire, and interview guide. From the research, it is found that the reasoning ability and self confidence of XI IPS1 SMA Putra Juang class students on the opportunity material are included in low category. This can be seen from the test results where the value of Students 75% below KKM and only 25% above KKM.Serta from the questionnaire that shows the ability of self-confidence mathematics owned 50% low students, 25% Medium, 20% High, and 5 % very high. whereas students 'misconception in reasoning ability occurs in many indicators of students' ability to construct and test a conjecture in mathematics lessons, where only 5 students reach this indicator of ability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the achievement and improvement of problem solving skills of junior high school students through the application of guided inquiry method. This research is an experimental research with research design in the form of pretest-posttest Control Group Design, which is design of pretest-posttest control group involving two groups and sampling is done randomly class. Population in this research is all students in one of junior high school in Sukabumi Regency. The sample in this research is the students of class VIII SMPN 1 Sukaraja which has population characteristics. From all the existing classes VIII, two classes were chosen randomly to be sampled. The instrument used is the test of mathematical problem solving ability. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that the achievement of the problem solving ability of mathematical students in learning using guided inquiry method is better than the students who use ordinary learning. Then the improvement of students' mathematical problem solving skills in the learning using guided inquiry method is better than the students who use ordinary learning

Abstract

The background of this research is the ability of solving the problem of mathematics of vocational high school students who are still relatively low, to improve this capability required research using cooperative learning method type AIR. The formulation of this research are: (1) How the application of cooperative learning model type AIR can improve problem solving a learning model AIR. Method of this research is classroom action research, to class student XI in one of the Vocational Schools in Sukabumi, which is 35 students. Instrument used is written test I - III, and nontest journal, observation sheet and questionnaire of attitude scale. The material in this research is Limit Function. The result of this research are: (1) the mathematical communication ability of students increases in line with the ongoing learning by using AIR type cooperative model, (2) Application of AIR type cooperative learning model can improve students' mathematical problem solving ability; (3) student activity in learning with using AIR type co-operative model obtained improvement, student's response to learning model of positive AIR type cooperative.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in mathematical dispositions of students using the open ended approach. The method used in this study is a qualitative method and this type of research is classroom action research. The population of this study was all students of class X IT Development Vocational School while the sample was class X RPL B. Data were collected based on observations, notes in the field, instruments in the form of non-disposition mathematical questionnaire scale tests. Questionnaires given contain indicators of students' mathematical dispositions, namely (1) confidence (2) can express ideas (3) check back on work results (4) persistent and diligent when working on questions (5) enthusiasm and serious learning mathematics (6) expect metacognition. The results of this study indicate that the use of an open-ended approach in mathematics learning can improve the mathematical disposition of class X RPL B students without development.

Abstract

Research on the learning ability to understand student learning independence towards mathematical punishment abilities. The research method uses correlational methods with quantitative research. The population in this study were students of one of the junior high schools in the city of Bandung and the sample of this study were students of class IX F as many as 32 students. The material used is the material of Two Variable Linear Equation System (SPLDV) which has been taught in class VIII. The instrument in this study consisted of a mathematical punishment ability test of 5 items, then a non-test instrument in the form of an independent learning scale as many as 28 positive and negative revelations. The step that needs to be done in this study is the filling of the learning independence questionnaire, a mathematical punishment ability test. The results of this study concluded that positive learning independence on the ability of students to sentence 46.6% and 53.4% ​​by other factors related to student learning independence.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive study which aims to analyze the level of students' ability to solve problems in the material of One Variable Linear Equations and Inequalities with the categorization of the level of mathematical ability of high, medium and low connections. The research subjects were class VII students as many as 39 people. The form of data collection is giving 5 items written test questions. Based on the results of the analysis, the average value of the whole instrument questions mathematical connection ability obtained 71% for indicator 1, namely using relationships between mathematical topics, 92% for indicator 2, namely using mathematics in other subjects, 85% and 80% for indicator 3 and 4 that is using mathematics in everyday life, and 58% for indicator 5, which is to understand representations equivalent to the same concept. So if totaled and averaged at 77%. Then the mathematical connection ability of class VII junior high school students is high.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the still low level of mathematical critical thinking skills of State Middle School students in Cimahi City, so a learning approach is needed to overcome these problems. Alternative approaches are applied, namely the approach to Model-Eliciting Activities. This study aims to examine the mathematical critical thinking skills of State Middle School students in Cimahi City. The method used in this study is an experimental method with research in the form of a pretest-posttest Control Group Design. The population in this study were all public junior high schools in the city of Cimahi randomly selected and selected SMP Negeri 10 Cimahi representing the characteristics of the population. The sample was chosen by two classes in a random class, namely the experimental class and the control class. Data collection in this study used a descriptive test, then the score data of the students' mathematical critical thinking skills were analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics using the two average difference test. Based on the results of the study, both from the results of data analysis and hypothesis testing, it can be concluded that the mathematical critical thinking skills of the State Middle School students in Cimahi City whose learning using the MEAs approach are better than those using conventional learning.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze aspects of the communication skills of vocational students in the material system of two-variable linear equations. The samples taken in this study were 5 students from a population of 30 students with different abilities and were taken randomly at one of the West Bandung Vocational Schools, namely class X Computer Engineering Network 2 SMK BINA INSAN BANGSA. The type of research used is qualitative descriptive. The research instrument is a test question of mathematical communication skills in the form of 4 items essays and interviews. Test results that have been carried out on several mathematical communication questions still show results below the average. It can be seen from the percentage of scores per item, namely the question no.1, obtained a percentage of 60% for indicators in explaining ideas, situations orally or in writing with real objects, graphic images, and algebra. Problem no.2 with the acquisition of 35% percentage for indicators to solve problems with the rules used. Question number 3 with the acquisition of a 25% percentage for indicators expressing daily events in mathematical language. Problem no.4 obtained a percentage of 15% for indicators connecting graphs with mathematical ideas. Then it can be concluded that the level of communication skills of vocational students is still not good enough and is classified as low because there are two problem indicators in the low category ≤ 33%

Abstract

Independence of Learning towards Mathematics Learning Outcomes in SMK 1 Cihampelas. The research method used in this study is a survey method using correlational analysis. Samples were obtained by using simple random sampling techniques totaling 35 students from class X of SMK 1 Cihampelas. Data collection is done using questionnaires and PTS tests. Data analysis was performed using SPSS 23 program assistance consisting of descriptive analysis analysis, test requirements for data analysis and hypothesis testing. Requirements test for data analysis used, namely normality test, and linearity test. Based on the results of the study, conclusions were obtained about the significant positive results between learning independence towards mathematics learning outcomes. The contribution of learning independence to mathematical results is 16% and the remaining 84% is contributed by other variables besides learning independence.
