Abstract

Pangkep Regency has a large coastal area resource potential which is characterized by a long shoreline line of around 49.71 Km. Potential is spread along the coast which requires up-to-date information, namely position and area which is the basis for optimally and sustainably planning and managing coastal areas. The aim of this study is to map the potential of coastal ecosystem resources and coastal facilities along with their respective areas. This research uses a method with the Remote Sensing Technology and Geographic Information System (GIS) approach. The type of satellite data used is Spot-6 observation of 2018. The results obtained up-to-date data and information related to coastal area ecosystems and coastal facilities, namely mangrove ecosystems (327.22 ha), seagrass ecosystems (197.3 ha), coral reef ecosystems (0 Ha), artificial ecosystems in the form of ponds (13,792 , 57 ha) and beach facilities in the form of seven fishing ports and piers. This data is expected to be a material consideration for policy makers of the Pangkep Regency government in developing and developing their coastal areas in the future.

Abstract

The research is entitled Utilization of coastal fisheries resources with trap net fishing equipment in the waters of Pangkep Regency. Related to that, the community uses the potential of fish resources in the coastal waters of Pangkep Regency with a variety of fishing gear, one of which is trap net (local read: tiku). Objectives are: 1) Knowing the composition of the type of trap net caught operated in coastal waters; 2) Knowing the level of environmental friendliness of the trap net fishing equipment operated in coastal waters 3) Knowing the economic feasibility of trap net fishing equipment operated in the coastal waters of Pangkep Regency. This research is expected to provide constructors regarding the composition of catches in the use of Coastal Fishing Ground resources with net trap fishing equipment in the waters of Pangkep Regency, South Sulawesi to ensure access to sustainable use of fisheries resources. The study was conducted in June - December 2018 in the coastal waters of Sigeri District, Pangkep Regency. Materials and tools related directly or indirectly to research to make measurements and observations in the field. The data needed consists of pruimer and secondary data. To achieve the goal, the data collected is carried out by analyzing fishing gear designs and analyzing the composition of catch species. The design of the trap net fishing gear is rectangular with a very small mesh size and the material is made of nylon (waring). The size of the trap net is 500 meters long and 1.5 meters wide. The composition of the types of trap net catches operated in the coastal waters of Pangkep Regency is very large and in general, fish that migrate daily at low tide take place.

Abstract

Shrimp is a type of crustacean and is included in the marine fishery commodity which has important economic value and is currently hunted by fishermen and is commonly found in coastal waters. The purpose of this study was to determine the Shrimp Production and Seasonal Catching Pattern in the Waters of Pangkep Regency. Its usefulness is as a foundation material in the use of shrimp resources in the waters of Pangkep Regency. Data collected consists of primary data and secondary data. Primary data is obtained by direct observation in the field through a field survey method (visual recall) to portray the conditions of crab resources. While secondary data was collected from the relevant agencies according to the attributes that will be reviewed and recorded data from collecting fishermen in the coastal areas and small islands of Pangkep Regency. Shrimp production from trammel net and mini trawl catches in the waters of the Sigeri District of Pangkep Regency in 2015 consisted of 706 tons of white shrimp and dogol shrimp 4,481 tons, while in 2016 706 tons of white shrimp and dogol shrimp 4,481 tons. Analysis of the percentage of shrimp fishing season index in the waters of Pangkep Regency, occurred in January, February, March and April. The highest percentage of fishing season index occurs in January each year.

Abstract

The decline in quality and high post-harvest damage are caused by, among others, the way of catching, poor handling methods, the length of the supply chain, the inadequacy of handling facilities. The way fish are handled both on the ship and in the fish landing is directly related to the quality of the fish. This research was carried out for eight months, namely from April to December 2020, at the Beba Fish Landing Site (TPI) in Takalar Regency. The study aims to analyze the quality level of fish and how to handle fish caught by fishermen landed at TPI Beba Takalar. This research was conducted by survey method through direct observation of fish landed by fishermen at TPI Beba Takalar. The types of fish selected are 10 types of fish that are predominantly landed at the study site. The survey was conducted to collect data on fish quality quality by observing the pH parameters and organoleptic properties of fish including eye conditions, gills, odor, and texture. Observations were also made on how fish were handled in TPI. The data analysis carried out is the determination of pH and organoleptic properties. The results showed that the average organoleptic test results in sample fish were values of 7-8, these values showed that the quality of fish freshness was still good. Meanwhile, the results of measuring the average pH of fish 6.5 - 7.0 show that fish still have good freshness quality. The way the fish handling is carried out at the Beba Landing Site still generally uses coarse ice with improper handling methods.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the distance relationship of the location of the gill net rajungan fishing gear to the catch of knitting (Portunus pelagicus). This study was conducted from September to November 2019 in the waters of Balang Lompo Island, Pangkep Regency, South Sulawesi Province. The study used field observation methods to conduct observations, measurements and data retrieval, covering primary and secondary data. Data processing uses the help of statistical data processing programs. Based on the results of research that the distance relationship of the location of the gill net rajungan fishing gear to the catch of rajungan (Portunus pelagicus) in the waters of Balang Lompo Island, is very crowded, the farther from the beach the greater the number of catches.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the distribution of size, length relationship, and weight of sembilang fish caught with trap nets in the waters of Segeri District, Pangkep Regency. The research was carried out in Segeri District, Pangkep Regency from June to December 2022. The research method uses the survey method, the data collected consists of primary data and secondary data. The results of this study are the distribution of the size of the caught sembilang fish in the average size range that reaches the beginning of adult growth, because the size of the caught fish is still below the maximum size growth. The relationship between the length and weight of the fish that is predominantly caught in the net trap is negative allometrics. With a negative allometric growth pattern, it means that the increase in length is faster than the increase in weight.
