Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to explore the perceptions and preferences of Tazkia University students regarding the use of non-cash payment methods, particularly e-wallets and the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS), in daily transactions. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews with 35 student participants. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify patterns in perceptions and preferences. The findings indicate that students have positive perceptions of the convenience and efficiency of QRIS and e-wallets, but they express concerns about security issues, data privacy, and compatibility with Islamic values such as transaction permissibility (halal) and avoiding riba. Their primary preference is e-wallets due to integration with daily applications and cashback promotions, whereas QRIS is more favored for transactions with small merchants and MSMEs around campus. Islamic ethical factors emerged as significant moderators, where students prioritized platforms compliant with Sharia principles, such as those partnered with Islamic banks. This study fills a research gap in the context of Islamic universities in Indonesia, where religious values uniquely influence the adoption of financial technologies. Practical implications include recommendations for universities to enhance literacy in Sharia-based digital payments and collaborate with fintech providers to obtain halal certification.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of the Task-Based Learning (TBL) model to improve students' writing skills in business correspondence at SMK PAB 2 Helvetia. The research follows a Classroom Action Research (CAR) methodology, comprising two cycles with a focus on the four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The primary objective was to enhance the students' ability to write effective business correspondence, such as business emails and letters. In Cycle 1, only 38% of students met the Minimum Completeness Criteria (MCC) of achieving a score of 85 or higher, indicating the need for adjustments in task design. After incorporating changes in Cycle 2, such as additional feedback and revised task complexity, 90% of the students achieved the MCC, demonstrating significant improvement. The study highlights the effectiveness of TBL in engaging students with real-world tasks, leading to enhanced writing skills. This research contributes to the pedagogical understanding of integrating TBL in vocational education, particularly for improving business communication skills in the digital age.

Article 303 of the Criminal Code provides a clear legal basis for prosecuting perpetrators of gambling crimes, both as organizers and participants. Obstacles faced in law enforcement against offline gambling include proving the elements of the crime, limited human resources and infrastructure of law enforcement officers, and social and cultural factors, where gambling is still considered a tradition or social entertainment that is difficult to eradicate. Obstacles faced in law enforcement against online gambling include limited regulations in the Criminal Code, difficulties in identifying and tracking perpetrators, and digital evidence. Challenges to law enforcement under Article 303 of the Criminal Code include the principles of legality and legal certainty, inter-institutional coordination, and rapid technological developments, which pose challenges for law enforcement. Another challenge faced in law enforcement is the weak deterrent effect of criminal sanctions imposed on gambling perpetrators.

Abstract

The development of the tourism sector is an important strategy in encouraging national and regional economic growth. The Government of Indonesia through various policies, including Undang-Undang Nomor 6 Tahun 2014 tentang Desa,, has given broad authority to villages to manage local potential independently, including the development of tourist villages. This study aims to describe the role of the Village Government in the development of Sebilo Tourism Village, Pino District, South Bengkulu Regency. Sebilo Village is one of the pioneer tourism villages that carries the concept of religious, natural, cultural, and culinary history. Through the support of village funds and local government grants, as well as the initiation of the formation of Tourism Awareness Groups, the Sebilo Village Government seeks to optimize the potential of local tourism to improve the welfare of the community. This research shows that collaboration between the village government and the community, especially the youth, is the key in transforming Sebilo Village from an ordinary bathing location to an attractive tourist destination. With a participatory approach and based on local potential, the development of tourism villages is expected to be able to encourage sustainable village economic growth and become a model for the development of tourism villages in other regions.
