Abstract

This study aims to examine the determinants of working children based on individual and environmental factors in urban and rural areas. The study draws on secondary data from various sources, including the March 2019 National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas), the Indonesia Poverty Profile 2019, the Indonesian Education Statistics 2019, and the Indonesian Child Profile 2020. A multilevel binary logistic regression model was used as the analytical method. According to the study's findings, children have a greater proclivity to work in rural areas than in urban areas. The study's findings also show that children who smoke have a higher proclivity in both urban and rural areas. Further research indicates that individual factors, such as household size as measured by the number of household members, have a more significant influence on the determinants of children working in urban areas. Meanwhile, environmental factors significantly influence the determinants of children working in rural areas, precisely the percentage of children working in the informal sector and the school participation rate of 13-15 years old. The findings show that the determinants of working children in urban and rural areas are similar on an individual level but differ on an environmental level. Based on these findings, the government and related parties must encourage the reduction of smoking behavior in children in urban and rural areas to reduce the number of working children. Accelerating the decline in working children, particularly in rural areas, can increase school participation through improved educational quality and facilities.

Abstract

The church plays a crucial role in spreading Christian values and nurturing the growth of faith within its community. However, in the context of GPSI EFATA, there are several challenges in effectively conveying church information. These challenges include the unappealing presentation of physical congregation news, the accumulation of paper, and limited distribution of information. In order to address these issues, this research project utilizes the Design Thinking method to develop a smartphone-based application for congregational news. The Design Thinking method consists of five stages: empathy, definition, ideation, prototype, and testing. During the empathy stage, the needs of the congregation are identified, particularly the need for more accessible and engaging information. The ideation stage then generates a solution in the form of a smartphone application. This application includes various features such as notifications, prayer schedules, financial reports, photo galleries, and management profiles. A prototype of the application was developed to meet these needs and was subsequently tested using a questionnaire. The results of the testing indicated that the application had an easy-to-understand interface, adequate features, and received suggestions for improvement. Overall, this smartphone application offers a modern and efficient solution to the challenges of delivering information within churches. It enhances accessibility and improves the quality of communication with the congregation.

Abstract

This research aims to develop and implement a web application for incoming and outgoing mail management at SMK Negeri 4. Efficient mail management is a critical aspect of school administration, but it is often constrained by manual systems that are prone to errors and inefficiencies. The development methodology uses the Waterfall model, including the stage of needs analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. This application is designed with key features including digital record-keeping, archiving, searching, and mail status tracking. The test results show that this application is able to significantly improve the efficiency of mail management, reduce the risk of document loss, and speed up the mail search process. The implementation of this application results in improved school administration performance, with faster mail processing times and higher management accuracy. This research contributes to the modernization of the school administration system and can be a model for similar implementation in other educational institutions.

Abstract

Sustainable agriculture faces a major challenge in maintaining the availability and efficient use of fertilizers. Information technology, particularly web applications, has the potential to optimize fertilizer stock management, improve productivity, and enhance household food security for farmers. This study aims to analyze how web technology can improve the efficiency of fertilizer stock management in sustainable agricultural practices. Through literature review and interviews with stakeholders, this research identifies the benefits of web technology in fertilizer stock management, such as improved accuracy in demand forecasting, minimized stock losses, and increased timeliness in fertilizer distribution. The results show that web-based information systems can integrate production data, stock, and fertilizer needs, facilitating decision-making and supporting real-time fertilizer distribution. The implementation of this technology provides significant benefits for farmers, web technology developers, and policymakers, and contributes to efficient and environmentally friendly sustainable agricultural practices.
