Abstract

Abstrak. Astronomy which studies natural phenomena related to the motion of celestial bodies is one of the study materials that undergraduates in science education need to master. In this digital era, to study the relative motion of celestial bodies observed from the earth, various skills are needed and supported by the right technology. The author proposes scientific literacy skills as a dimension of progress in the ethnoastronomy learning progression of the earth's seasons for the science program undergraduate program. Scientific literacy skills have three dimensions, namely scientific concepts, scientific process, and scientific context. Scientific concepts are needed to understand the phenomenon of changing seasons on earth with the support of the Stellarium application. Scientific processes are centered on the ability to obtain, interpret, and act on evidence of the phenomenon of changing seasons on earth in five scientific processes, namely recognizing scientific questions, identifying evidence, drawing conclusions, communicating conclusions, and demonstrating scientific understanding. Scientific context can be bridged through ethnoastronomy related to seasonal changes by studying the regional calendar/student residence, for example, Pranatamangsa. Students' astronomical learning progress can be defined by the increasing sophistication of their scientific literacy skills. An ethnoastronomical learning progression (eALP) framework has been developed and discussed in this paper.

Abstract

The curriculum continues to develop along with the times. The rapid development of technology requires curriculum adjustments. The domain of knowledge is no longer the only core domain of the curriculum. The domains of skills, character, and meta learning play a role in successful learning. A learning model is needed that is able to activate the four curriculum components. One of them is a collaborative problem solving based learning model. How is this model implemented in science learning? Through this re search, the researcher tries to explore the related research results that have been reported in 5 selected journals.

Abstract

PISA data shows that the critical thinking skills of 21st century students are still at a low level. The 21st century requires students to be able to integrate technology in learning activities. Android-based learning media is an alternative learning media that is integrated with technology. Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) is an integrative approach that can improve critical thinking skills. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Android-based learning media with the STEM approach to improve students' critical thinking skills. The study used Research and Development (RD) method, namely introduction, media validation, and media testing. The subject of this research is class X vocational school majoring in motorcycle engineering and business. Data collection techniques used research instruments with quantitative data analysis. The data collection instrument was given through a written test in the form of essay questions that included aspects of critical thinking skills. The results of this study indicate that the results of the n-gain mean the pretest and posttest values was 0.77 with high criteria. Aspects of critical thinking skills that make a major contribution were aspects of evaluation and conclusion. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that Android-based learning media with the STEM approach is effective in improving creative thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to produce e-learning teaching materials that can be used to improve students' conceptual understanding. Teaching materials were made using scratch, which are integrated into web with the subject of physics subject waves for class XI. The type of research was Research and Development. The teaching materials developed have been implemented on a small scale, which was class XI students at MA Uswatun Hasanah Semarang. Data collection was carried out by giving the teacher a feasibility sheet for teaching materials. Data on students' conceptual understanding abilities were obtained from the results of pretest and posttest on a small scale, namely students of class XI MA Uswatun Hasanah Semarang and by looking for student or teacher responses to the teaching materials developed. Based on the experts and teachers’ assessment, the teaching materials developed were feasible. The implementation of teaching materials in physics learning on wave materials showed that the increase in students' conceptual understanding in the experimental class by using scratch-assisted e-learning teaching materials got a score of 0.52 (medium) better than the control class which used student worksheets to get a score of 0,34 (medium). In addition, students and teachers responded well to the developed teaching materials.

Abstract

The world change in the industrial revolution 4.0 is the state of the industry in the 21st century that combines automation and cyber technology. Education is one of the fields that is experiencing the impacts of the changes in the industrial revolution 4.0. The skills needed in this era was the literacy skills consisting of three new literacys, namely data, technological, and human literacy. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of practicum activities on increasing data literacy of high school students. The method used in this study was a mix method with a concurrent embedded design, while the experimental design used was a one group pretest-posttest design. The instrument used was a written test with 10 numbers to get a pretest-posttest score. The pretest-posttest scores were used to measure the improvement of students' data literacy. The results of data analysis using the t-test paired samples t-test obtained the average value of the pretest and posttest scores significantly different with the value of tcount ttable that is 4.770 2.042 with an effect size of 0.83. It can be concluded that there is an effect of practicum activities on increasing data literacy of high school students with high categories.

Abstract

The Teapot Dome Basin in Wyoming is known to have significant hydrocarbon potential, but its distribution and characteristics need to be better understood. This study was conducted to analyze the presence of hydrocarbons in wells 25-1-X-14 and 64-JX-15 using 3D seismic interpretation. Envelope attributes and RMS attributes were used to identify prospective zones more accurately. The purpose of this study is to determine the results of 3D seismic data interpretation in determining the geological structure of hydrocarbons in well 25-1-X-14 and well 64-JX-15, and to determine the application of attribute envelope and rms in determining the geological structure of Teapot Dome. The method used in this research is a quantitative descriptive method, in which seismic data is numerically analyzed to describe the physical characteristics of the subsurface. The amplitude values used in this research are 10m, 20m, 30m, 40m, 50m, and 60m. Data processing is done in 3 stages, namely picking horizon, time structure map, surface attribute envelope, and RMS. The interpretation of the envelope attributes and RMS attributes shows high-amplitude bright spot zones that indicate hydrocarbons, especially in the sand section. The low amplitude areas in the shale section do not have hydrocarbon prospects. The analysis also confirmed a dominant anticline structure with an axis to the southwest of Teapot Dome.

Abstract

Exploration activities in Teapot Dome can be carried out by looking at the geological structure. Determination of geological structure can be done by interpreting seismic data. This study aims to identify hydrocarbon prospect zones in the Teapot Dome field through 3D seismic interpretation of wells 25-1-X-14 and 64-JX-15, and to evaluate the application of sweetness and RMS amplitude attributes in determining the geological structure of the Teapot Dome using 3D seismic reflection data. The data interpretation processing stage starts from performing wavelet extraction, well seismic tie, horizon picking, and time structure map. This research utilizes seismic sweetness and RMS amplitude attributes with amplitude values of 10 to 60ms to map hydrocarbon distribution. The results of this study show that the greatest hydrocarbon distribution occurs at both markers in well 25-1-X-14, with amplitude values of 50 ms and 20 ms, indicated by the presence of sweet spots and bright spots. In well 64-JX-15, sweet spots and bright spots are observed at the top marker with an amplitude value of 20 ms. The application of attributes in determining the geological structure in the Teapot Dome field is found to be an anticline that runs from the northwest to the southeast.
