Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of tutoring on student learning outcomes. This study employed a descriptive and quantitative approach. The population of this research was the first year students of the Mathematics Education Study Program for the 2019/2020 academic year. The research sample was 50 students, selected by purposive sampling from four classes of students. Data collection was conducted using the test instrument for student learning outcomes before and after the tutoring. The data were analyzed using the t-test. The results showed that there was a significant effect of tutoring on student learning outcomes in the differential calculus course. Tutoring activities outside of lecture activities need to be continued in other courses in future lectures.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat fungsi diskriminan dalam pengalokasian distribusi BBM sesuai kebutuhan wilayah di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menguji dan menganalisis  pengaruh rata-rata nilai pemakaian BBM dari tiap wilayah berdasarkan jumlah penduduk. Pengujian ini dilakukan melalui metode analisis diskriminan yang menghasilkan suatu fungsi, yaitu fungsi diskriminan yang bisa dijadikan indikator untuk menentukan penempatan atau pengalokasian BBM sesuai jumlah pemakaian maksimun pendudukan wilayah tersebut. Data diperoleh dari kantor Badan Pusat Statistik dan BPH Migas di Banda Aceh, yang terdiri nilai rata-rata (jumlah)  pemakaian Gas, Premium, Solar, Minyak Tanah, Kapasitas tangki, kenderaan roda 2 dan 4-6, jumlah penduduk dari tiap-tiap wilayah di Indonesia. Hasil dari pengolahan data siswa yang diproses dengan menggunakan software SPSS (V.11.5) diperoleh fungsi diskriminan Y (f(X)), iaitu Y1  (Sumatera), Y2  (Jawa), Y3  (Kalimantan), Y4  (Sulawesi) dan Y5  (Papua). Dalam hasil SPSS (V.11.5) setiap wilayah pada tabel terdiri dari nilai (estimasi) koefesien untuk satu fungsi klasifikasi dari satu kelompok (wilayah). Koefesien ini juga dikenal sebagai koefesien fungsi diskriminan linear Fisher dan bisa digunakan secara langsung untuk pengklasifikasian. Koefesien-koefesien tersebut diperoleh dari setiap kelompok (wilayah), dan dari setiap wilayah dikelompokan ke dalam kelompok (wilayah) yang nilai diskriminannya lebih besar. Dari proses pengklasifikasian data baru terhadap fungsi diskriminan diperoleh nilai Y1 , Y2 , Y3 , Y4 dan Y5 yang berbeda. Jika nilai dari salah satu fungsi tersebut lebih tinggi, maka jumlah pengalokasian BBM  dapat ditempatkan ke wilayah tersebut .

Abstract

AbstractThe development of education toward e-learning is an alternative to improve the quality of education as e-learning uses internet technology in learning activity with a wide range access. There are three criteria that lies on the principle of education develoment toward e-learning model according to (Rosenberg, 2001): (1) e-learning is a network with the ability to renew, to store, to distribute, and to share learning material or information, (2) the transfering of information to the user through computer using a standard internet technology, (3) focusing on the broadest view concerning learning behind the traditional learning paradigm. E-learning research on distance education, is a concept that has changed teaching and learning method in higher education institutions in Indonesia that was conducted by (Darmayanti et al, 2007). The implementation of e-learning in “Universitas Terbuka” toward online tutorial that combined with web-based supplement or web-supplemen. The research shows that learning is not ought to be done in certain time and place. But learning process can be done anytime and anywhere by utilizingng internet in e-Learning model, which is a learning that free bound to space and time, accessible anytime and anywhere. Abstract

The integration of science and technology in mathematics learning can be done through learning videos. Various applications can be an option to develop the required learning videos. Adobe Premiere and VideoScribe application is one alternative application that can produce more interesting and diverse videos, but learning videos using these applications are limited. This study describes the process and results of developing valid learning video media using Adobe Premiere and VideoScribe applications on System of Linear Equation with Two Variables (SLETV). This research is Research and Development research. The data sources of this research were validators with expertise in content, construct, and technology. The instrument used to obtain research data was a validation sheet. The results were two videos: The standard form SLETV and the SLETV Solution Method. The development process of the learning videos using Adobe Premiere and VideoScribe applications on SLETV was carried out through the stages of searching for references related to SLETV and applications used to develop videos to design prototypes. The prototypes were then validated and revised until the video media was declared valid. The results showed that the learning videos using Adobe Premiere and VideoScribe applications on SPLDV material were valid for aspects of content, constructs, and technology media. However, the learning videos with Adobe Premiere and VideoScribe applications on SLETV material need to be tested to measure the practicality of the video.
