Abstract

Biji kopi merupakan bahan baku utama dalam produksi kopi bubuk, yang dalam proses pengolahannya memerlukan energi manusia, bahan bakar, dan listrik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konsumsi energi dan aspek ekonomi dalam proses produksi kopi bubuk di PT XYZ. Analisis konsumsi energi dilakukan berdasarkan tahapan proses dan jenis sumber energi yang digunakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebutuhan konsumsi energi sebesar 5.916,22 kJ/kg, Potensi konservasi energi dapat dilakukan dengan efisiensi penggunaan listrik, yakni hanya mengoperasikan peralatan saat proses berlangsung. Dari sisi ekonomi, biaya produksi tercatat sebesar Rp114.180.445, dengan total penerimaan Rp196.970.000, menghasilkan keuntungan harian sebesar Rp82.789.555. Nilai rasio pendapatan terhadap biaya (R/C ratio) sebesar 1,7 menunjukkan bahwa usaha tersebut layak secara ekonomi. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi pelaku agroindustri dalam meningkatkan efisiensi energi dan menekan biaya produksi.

Abstract

Kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat tentang pemanfaatan limbah pertanian dan peternakan menyebabkan masih banyak masyarakat tidak memanfaatkan kotoran ternak dan limbah pertanian yang sangat melimpah untuk dijadikan bahan bakar alternatif. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan masyarakat tani dalam memanfaatkan limbah pertanian yang ada di kawasan limau manis. Khalayak sasaran dari kegiatan ini adalah peternak sapi yang memiliki 4 ekor sapi di rumahnya di kawasan Limau Manis kampus Universitas Andalas. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan beberapa tahapan meliputi pembuatan alat, penyuluhan, praktik teknologi dan pendampingan. Kegiatan ini juga melibatkan mahasiswa, di mana mahasiswa sebagai salah satu kelompok masyarakat yang dapat melakukan perubahan yang lebih cepat dalam usaha menciptakan masyarakat yang lebih sejahtera dan makmur. Kegiatan ini juga melalui pendekatan pada petani untuk menumbuhkan dan meningkatkan motivasi untuk memanfaatkan limbah yang selama ini dibuang. Penerapan teknologi biogas bagi petani yang memiliki peternakan dapat memberikan keuntungan ekonomis apabila dilakukan teknik yang tepat dari segi rancangannya. Rancangan teknis meliputi: desain biodigester, desain penyaluran gas dan desain tangki penampung. Kegiatan ini telah berhasil memberikan pengetahuan pada petani dalam pemanfaatan limbah Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah telah dibuat instalasi biogas dengan kotoran sapi telah berhasil dilakukan dengan terbentuknya gas dan kompor yang sudah dapat digunakan, dan pupuk cair yang dihasilkan telah digunakan sebagai pengganti pupuk kimia pada tanaman cabe.

Abstract

Hand washing is the most important thing because it is simple and most influential in maintaining health caused by infectious diseases. Washing hands should use clean water and be free from germs. Hand washing in public handwashing stations must be carried out carefully because physical contact between users and faucets or soap dispensers can cause disease transmission or epidemics between users. Therefore, ergonomic and semi-automatic handwashing tools are made to reduce physical contact between users and these tools. The existence of the market in everyday life is essential for the community in meeting their daily needs. This activity aims to design, manufacture, and carry out the method of introducing handwashing tools. This service activity took place at the Banda Aia Market, Pasie Nan Tigo Village, Koto Tangah District, Padang City. This market is located in Pasie Nan Tigo (PNT) Village, Koto Tangah District, Padang City, the only market in Pasie Nan Tigo Village. The results obtained from this activity are (1) the Banda Aia market community is greatly helped by this hand washing tool, (2) the market community is more interested in washing their hands because they are not worried about contact with the hand washing place, (3) The public gets information about health care methods during the COVID-19 pandemic through health posters affixed to handwashing tools. From the implementation of this activity, it can be seen that awareness in washing hands after activities in the community is not only influenced by awareness alone, but the right tool to increase awareness becomes a habit.

Abstract

Dragon fruit is one of the natural resources with significant economic potential when processed into various products. This activity aims to process and utilize dragon fruit as a primary ingredient in making snacks and pastries for the community, particularly for the PKK groups in Nagari Sulit Air. The event took place in Nagari Sulit Air, Solok Regency. The execution method of this activity consisted of two stages: lectures and discussions, followed by a demonstration phase. The results showed a high level of enthusiasm and interest among the community in understanding and participating in the process of making snacks from natural dragon fruit during this event. The community also successfully grasped the process of making processed products from dragon fruit, such as dragon fruit sticks and pastries made from dragon fruit peels. The conclusion drawn from this activity is that it has the potential to enhance community-based businesses focusing on dragon fruit. As a suggestion for future service, it's recommended to provide guidance and ongoing support to the community in developing their dragon fruit processed product businesses. Through this activity, the goal is to empower the local economy by increasing the production and utilization of dragon fruit, thereby boosting the local economy. New business opportunities might emerge, such as establishing micro or small enterprises centered on dragon fruit processed products. The expectation is to achieve greater economic benefits due to increased demand for dragon fruit. A stable market and rising demand can elevate farmers' income levels.

Abstract

Nagari Sulit Air is one of the villages in the administrative area of Solok Regency, West Sumatra province where agriculture plays an important role in the economy of the Nagari Sulit Air community. Geographically, Nagari Sulit Air is located in a highland area with fertile land topography. This is well utilized by the community, by making agriculture the main commodity. The crops generally grown by the community are horticultural crops such as rice, chilies and dragon fruit which are the main agricultural commodities. Even for dragon fruit, Nagari Sulit Air is one of the central areas in Solok Regency. Because the potential is quite promising, there are many chemical fertilizer products circulating in the community. The purpose of this activity is to increase the knowledge of Nagari Sulit Air farmers about the benefits of liquid organic fertilizers and vegetable pesticides and increase farmers' skills in making organic fertilizers. The method used is the Counseling and Training method. Stages in counseling include planning, implementation and evaluation. The target of this activity is the community, especially farmer groups in Nagari Sulit Air. Educational and socialization activities regarding the manufacture of liquid organic fertilizers (POC) and vegetable pesticides can increase the knowledge of farmers in Nagari Sulit Air. And it can also be used as a solution to increase the production and quality of agricultural products in Nagari Sulit Air. The realization of the application of organic farming in Nagari Sulit Air requires support from all relevant stakeholders.
