Abstract

One of the negative consequencies of internet is cyberloafing behavior. Cyberloafing refers to employee’s behavior of using their work internet access during work hours for non-work-related purposes. Based on the preliminary study, there were more than 50% of University Jember's administrative employee use their working time to cyberloaf. They spent one hour a day in average to cyberloaf. The aims of this research were to examine the impact of work stressors (role ambiguity, role conflict, role overload) and perception of organizational sanction on cyberloafing behavior in Jember University by using analytical survey method. Sample of this research were 80 administrative government’s employee of 14 faculties and 2 study programs in Jember University. The data was analyzed by simple and multiple linier regression. The univariat analysis result indicated that the employee had low role ambiguity, role conflict, and role overload, but high organizational sanctions perception, and they spent one our a day in average to cyberloaf. The bivariat analysis result indicated that role conflict, role overload, and perception of organizational sanction had significant impact on cyberloafing behavior, while role ambiguity did not. Abstract

High work climate and high workload can cause overstress and metabolic heat in the body wich will potentially affect workers hydration status. Industrial workers often carry out physical work in hot working environments with high workload (physical workload) over a long period. Loading and a high work climate can cause overstress and metabolic heat so that workers have the potention dealing with heat stress and dehydration due to excessive sweating issue and it will affect the workers hydration status. This study purpose was to find out the relationship between physical workload and work climate due to workers hydration status unit P2 (wood working 1) WW1 section in PT. KTI Probolinggo. This study used quantitative approach, an observational analytic type with cross sectional design. Based on statistical tests result using Spearman and Chi Square, the factors associated to hydration status were age with a positive linkage direction and drinking water consumption with a negative linkage direction. Unrelated factors were gender (p value = 0.688), nutritional status (p value = 0.333), years of service (p value = 0.626), physical workload (p value = 0.333), and work climate (p value = 0.105). The advice given based on this research is adding more water consumption, adding glasses according to the number of workers and drinking water needs of each worker, providing education of body fluid needs for hot working environments including signs of dehydration and how to prevent it, setting-up diagram poster shows the importance of drinking water consumption in hot working environment. Abstract

The batik worker is one of the occupational working with risk of low back pain. Low back pain is one of clinical syndrome which marked by pain as the main symptom or the pain in low back area. This research aim was to analyze the relationship among respondent characteristic and awkward posture with low back pain in batik workers at batik industry in Sumberpakem, Sumberjambe sub-district with cross sectional design. This research technique analyze use Cramer Coefficient C statistic test with α= 0,05. The results of this research showed that there are significant relations among age (0,031<0,05), length of working (0,00<0,05), nutritional status(0,03<0,05) and also awkward posture (0,001<0,05) with low back pain. Then not significant relationhip between sport habitual (0,201>0,05)with low back pain. Keywords: Respondent Characteristic, Low back pain, Batik workers, Awkward posture

Abstract

Abstract National Health Insurance (NHI) is a part of the National System of Social Insurance which is estabilished by Social Agencies of Health. One of the problems in NHI is corporations membership. All employers such as State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN), large, medium or small scale corporations are the target member of NHI, at least by January 1st 2015, but this target has yet to be actualized. The number of corporation in Jember, by February 2017, has reached 2451 and only 954 corporations were registered (38,92%). The objectives of this study was to assess corporations decision on NHI membership. The study applied qualitative case study. Informant determination technique uses purposive sampling. The results showed that the components of input was not appropriate. Knowledge, perception on product characteristics and need of informants were low, reference group posed significant influence on the corporations decision making in taking part in NHI. The decision making process has yet optimal in the problem or needs analysis and alternative evaluation, corporations tended to be passive in searching information. The output was membership classification of corporations in NHI has yet to be actualized. Key Words : National Health Insurance, Corporation

Abstract

PT. Eratex Djaja, Tbk is a company engaged in the garment industry. Working accidents that occurred in this company, 46.67% caused by human error and 61.9% of which occurred in the Finishing Department. The purpose of this research was assessment human error probability with Human Error Assessment and Reduction Technique Method (HEART) in Finishing Department of PT. Eratex Djaja, Tbk. The type of research was descriptive. In this study there were 13 respondents. The results show that the tasks in the finishing department were task keyhole, buttoning, trimming, ironing, measurement, attach accessories, finishing quality control, packing, needle detector, repack, scanning, weigh and export. There were 27 tasks that have possible human error. The largest HEP was 0.9599 in the task holding garment until the keyhole process was completed (task keyhole with automatic keyhole) and in the task holding garment until the buttoning process was complete (task buttoning plastic button). While the smallest HEP was 0,0326 in the task of transporting and bring carton box into the container. Then the researchers set up prevention of human error based on EPC, HEP and possible human error that can occur in the task or sub task.Keywords: Possible human error, HEART, HEP

Abstract

Hospital is a health service place. The service claims can create some danger like work stress. Based on the preliminary studies that has been done at General Hospital dr.H Koesnadi, Bondowoso district , found that 67 % nurses experienced the occupational fatigue and work stress. The work stress is influenced by some factors like individual factors (gender, age, length of service and level of education), organization factor like work shift and occupational fatigue in the hospital's employee. Human resource has potential about the work stress of nurse in handly the patient directly. The purpose of this research is to analyze the relation between individual factors, organization factor and occupational fatigue in the work stress. The method that used in this research is analytical observation with the cross sectional design. The sampel of this research is 46 respondents that spread over 5 inpatient room 3rd grade.The result of this research showed that there was a significant relation between individual factors and work stress (p = 0,004), the relation between the organization factor and the work stress (p = 0,038). Abstract

Midwives have to wear PPE completely, such as head cover, goggles, mask, gloves, apron, andboots. But not all of them using PPE completely for 75% in Bondowoso. This study aims was toanalyze the factors related to completely using of PPE for midwives in work region of Bondowoso.This study held in Mey 2015-February 2016. This study used cross sectional approachment. Thepopulations of this study were 116 Delima midwives in Bondowoso. The result showed that themidwives’s knowledge was in the medium level, most were positive attitude, they had sameeducation level (between D3-D4), their age were about 35-44 years old, and most of them hadbeen working for 21-30 years. The midwives wore PPE completely in I stage (2,8), II and III stage(11,1) and all of them did not wear PPE completely in IV stage.There was significant correlation ofattitude to complete PPE using for midwives in I stage and no significant correlation of knowledge,attitude, education, age, work stage to complete PPE using for midwives of II and III stage inBondowoso. There was no significant correlation between the PPE availability with complete PPEusing for midwives in I stage and significant correlation between the PPE availability with completePPE using for midwives of II and III stage in Bondowoso. There was no significant correlationbetween training and monitoring with complete PPE using for midwives of I, II, III stage inBondowoso.Keywords: factors individual , PPE availability, training and monitoring factor.

Abstract

Welding industries are prone to hazards. Welding fumes and carbon monoxide resultedfrom the welding process can cause pulmonary function disorder. Based on the surveyof welding station in Ngagel, there were 7 workers exposed to pulmonary functiondisorder. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between individual characteristic,welding fumes and carbon monoxide (CO) with pulmonary function disorder of weldingworkers in Ngagel Village, Wonokromo, Surabaya. This study is observational analyticwith cross sectional approach and sample of 36 workers from 5 welding station. Theresult of this studied that there were relationship between pulmonary function disorderand welding fumes, individual characteristics in terms of age, duration of exposure,working periode, cigarette smoke, and the amount of cigarette and not correlatedbetween nutrional status, temperature, humadity with pulmonary function disorder.Keywords: welding fume, carbon monoxide, individual characteristic, work climate,pulmonary function disorder.
