Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of blockchain technology on traditional business models: potential and challenges. Through quantitative methods with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires, interviews, observations and written notes. Then analyzed using statistical methods. Descriptive and inferential statistical data analysis methods. The findings in this study are that blockchain technology has significant potential and benefits for traditional businesses, including increasing operational efficiency, data security, transparency and accountability, and reducing operational costs. However, the implementation of blockchain technology is highly dependent on the ability of traditional businesses to overcome several challenges such as regulatory compliance challenges, acceptance and adaptation, smart contract implementation, and interoperability.

Abstract

This research focuses on the return process, the process where consumers decide to return the product after receiving an order or after making a purchase. This incident is not desired by the company, because it has the potential to reduce profits and consumer loyalty. However, the company is aware that the return process cannot be avoided. So this research aims to evaluate the factors that have the potential to cause the return process by using the Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) Methodology. This research case study was conducted on a textile company that serves orders for school uniforms, office uniforms, moslem clothes, etc. Nine factors were identified, that are: off-season, overstock, delivery error, incorrect size, incorrect color, quality issue, change mind, damaged item, and incorrect product, which are the reasons consumers carry out the return process. The results of the ISM-based model and MICMAC analysis mapping show that the quality issue factor is the key reason for consumers to make the return process. The strategy of handling presses return in connection with these factors is carried out by developing a system that supports customer support work to maintain consumer loyalty. Through the ISM methodology, companies can simplify complex problems, so they focus on the factors that are the root of the problem to be able to design strategies to deal with them.

Abstract

This study analyzes the working posture of machine operators at PT. DONGGI SENORO LNG to evaluate ergonomic risk levels and their potential impact on health and productivity. Observations revealed postures ranging from low to moderate risk, particularly in tasks involving bending, twisting, or excessive reaching. Posture assessments were conducted using Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) and Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA). REBA scored 5 for the lower body, indicating medium risk requiring further investigation and potential modifications. RULA scores of 3–4 for the upper body indicated low risk but warranted preventive evaluation. The differing results between the two methods underscore the need for a comprehensive assessment of the entire body. Findings suggest potential musculoskeletal disorder (MSD) risks if corrective actions are not implemented. Recommended interventions include workplace modifications, assistive tools, job rotation, and posture training to enhance comfort, reduce injury risk, and support long-term productivity. Abstract

The frozen seafood supply chain, especially in emerging markets like Indonesia, is prone to various operational risks, including raw material degradation, inconsistent storage temperatures, and human error. PT Winaros Kawula Bahari, a shrimp processing company expanding into the Japanese market, faces these critical risks that threaten efficiency and product quality. This study aims to identify, analyze, and prioritize supply chain risks in the frozen seafood industry to support risk-based decision-making. This research employs the House of Risk (HoR) method, a proactive supply chain risk management approach combining Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) with the House of Quality (HoQ). A mixed-methods approach was used, involving three domain experts (procurement, production, and logistics) to assess the severity and occurrence of risks. Risk events and agents were identified and evaluated using Aggregate Risk Potential (ARP), followed by the prioritization of mitigation actions in HoR Phase 2. The analysis identified 9 risk events and 22 risk agents. Based on ARP values, two dominant risk agents were identified: labor negligence and insufficient shrimp temperature during handling, which together accounted for over 25% of total ARP. Recommended mitigation strategies include enhanced supervision, occupational health and safety (OHS) training, supplier evaluation, and continuous quality audits. This study provides practical guidance for small and medium seafood enterprises in implementing data-driven supply chain risk management strategies.
