Abstract

This research is aimed to improve students’ speaking skill in both academic and interpersonal communication skill through their experience in University and Course. The subject of this research are University students’ in UNISKA and English students’ in Pare that both learn and study english. The researcher used Evaluation Sheet and Interview to obtain the data. To collect the data the researcher conduct interview to the participants which had been selected by using interview guide as an instrument.is a technic which according to Koentjaraningrat “interview is a method used for a specific task, trying to obtain information and verbally forming respondents, to communicate directly”.  The interview process will be conduct by finding by identifying and select university students actively participating in English courses, as well as students from English courses in Pare. Continue by contacting university students and Pare students to explain the research objectives and request their consent to participate in the interview. Then, prepare an interview guide covering questions related to their experiences in English courses, the influence on their communication skills, and suggestions for improvement.

Abstract

Since the COVID-19 pandemic entered Indonesia in early March 2020, theeconomy had stopped, thus affecting the socio-economic life of the community.With the pandemic, people's lives are mostly done at home (Work from Home)so that the use of digital platform technology in helping companies work on alarge and small scale, especially in small and medium enterprises in the startupworld. In the promotion strategy by utilizing it is also necessary to use a businessintelligence model which is an analytical tool in the form of business informationthat is used to consolidate, analyze, store and access a lot of data in the contextof business processes that lead to making decisions and actions with the aim ofimproving the performance of business or business strategies in the future.UMKM, especially in the province of Bangka Belitung. Therefore, we intend tocarry out service in educating the public with the theme "digital platformpromotion strategy to support UMKM in Bangka Belitung Province" which aimsto review the use of digital platform technology and the benefits of BusinessIntelligence in the digital business era.

Abstract

This training aims to enhance self-efficacy and self-confidence among high school students through specialized activities targeting key objectives. These include improving communication skills by teaching effective techniques such as expressing ideas, active listening, and persuasive speaking in both transactional and interpersonal contexts. The program also focuses on building self-efficacy by offering practical scenarios to boost confidence in social interactions. The training incorporates social and interpersonal skill development to strengthen students' ability to navigate daily interactions. Methods are grounded in self-efficacy and confidence theories, emphasizing practical applications through activities like simulations and interactive exercises. A holistic evaluation approach measures self-efficacy and confidence levels before and after the training, alongside the impact on students' transactional and interpersonal communication skills.. The findings reveal significant insights into the importance of strengthening self-efficacy and self-confidence for improving students' communication abilities. Practical implications include aiding in the development of more effective training programs to prepare young people for the demands of the modern workforce and daily life. Additionally, the training highlights the importance of ethical communication norms, fostering healthy interpersonal relationships, and equipping students with strong communication skills to gain a competitive edge in their careers.

Abstract

Based on data from the Regional General Hospital in the Bangka Belitung Islands province, the Gross Death Rate (GDR) is the general death rate for every 1000 patients discharged of 108,430 compared to the health department standard of <45. The Net Death Rate (NDR) is the death rate 48 hours after being treated for every 1000 patients discharged of 67,388 compared to the health department standard of <25. TOI (Turn Over Interval) is the average turnover period of days where a bed is unoccupied from being filled to the next time it is filled of 19,832 days compared to the health department standard of 1 to 3 days. The solution offered by the researcher develops Business Intelligence (BI) optimization with a new model called the HGO (Hierarchy, Governance, Outlook) Discovery approach as a framework model for developing business intelligence for regional general hospitals in Indonesia. This model is expected to be able to solve or reduce the dimensional problems that exist in hospitals, namely the main patient management, HR Key Resources, and the quality of inpatient health services. The HGO Discovery approach is able to find patterns in a series of events called sequences by sorting the work patterns that exist in the hospital so that the business process of regional general hospitals is faster and more interactive in decision making. The Business Intelligence approach carried out by regional hospitals with HGOD is expected to make patient health services more integrated through the hierarchy of patient services, governance and outlook in decision making.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of customer experiential quality, destination image and novelty seeking on revisit intention and customer satisfaction as mediating variables. Respondents in this study were 100 consumers of Beranda Eatery Kebumen. This study used descriptive and statistical analysis methods with the help of the SPSS 22 program. Statistical analysis used in this study were validity tests, reliability tests and path analysis. The results of this study indicate that customer experiential quality, destination image, and novelty seeking partially affect customer satisfaction and revisit intention. Customer satisfaction mediates the relationship between customer experiential quality, destination image, and novelty seeking towards revisit intention among consumers at Beranda Eatery Kebumen.

Abstract

This research explores the dynamics of interaction between the traditional fishing practices of the Bajo tribe in Indonesia and international regulations covered by the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS). The Bajo tribe, known for their maritime life and sustainable approach to fishing, facing new challenges in the era of globalization and environmental change. Although UNCLOS aims to regulate the use of the sea and its natural resources globally, the absence of a clear definition of traditional fishing rights causes uncertainty in Bajo practices. This research uses normative juridical methods to examine how the Bajo tribe adapts to UNCLOS provisions while maintaining their fishing traditions. The research results show that the Bajo tribe has attempted to adopt new practices such as mariculture to overcome restrictions posed by modern regulations. However, the shift away from traditional methods sometimes leads to environmentally damaging practices. This study suggests the need for a more inclusive legal framework that integrates local wisdom in international regulations, to recognize and protect the traditional rights of the Bajo tribe, thereby enabling them to maintain their way of life without threatening the marine ecosystem. This research provides insight for policy makers and stakeholders in navigating between cultural preservation and environmental sustainability in a global context

Abstract

In the academic world, the ability to perform data analysis is a crucial skill. Both lecturers and students need to master data analysis techniques to support research activities, especially quantitative research. These analysis techniques are supported by proficiency in software that can assist in data processing. A frequently utilized software is SPSS. This SPSS training is designed to enhance the data analysis skills of lecturers and students through face-to-face methods that include presentations, live demonstrations, and interactive practice sessions. The training aims to provide a deep understanding of SPSS usage in various statistical analyses, from data entry to result interpretation. The activity will be conducted in March 2024, with participants being lecturers and students from the Digital Business program. The training evaluation will be carried out comprehensively through direct assessment of participants' abilities to apply SPSS, which includes practical tests. This training is expected to provide maximum benefits to participants, support academic and research activities, and improve the quality of teaching and research outcomes.

Abstract

Keluhan merupakan suatu bentuk pengaduan yang muncul karena ketidakpuasan produk atau layanan perusahaan.  ISB Atma Luhur tidak terlepas dari adanya keluhan mengenai fasilitas kampus, serta kinerja dosen dan karyawan.  Meskipun keluhan identik dengan hal negatif dan sulit ditangani, namun harus diselesaikan karena menyangkut kredibilitas perusahaan.  Kebanyakan mahasiswa memilih untuk tidak melaporkan keluhan, khususnya mengenai kinerja dosen dan karyawan, karena takut terjadi kebocoran pada keluhan yang disampaikan.  Hal tersebut bisa mengakibatkan pengurangan nilai akademik dan pelayanan yang buruk ketika mengurus administrasi perkuliahan.  Penggunaan teknik kriptografi dengan algoritma RSA dijadikan sebagai solusi untuk mencegah kebocoran pesan.  Kriptografi digunakan untuk menerjemahkan pesan ke dalam bentuk kode sehingga isi pesan sebenarnya tidak dapat diketahui secara langsung.  Pemilihan RSA sebagai algoritma kriptografi karena sulitnya pemfaktoran bilangan prima dalam pembuatan kunci.  Pemfaktoran tersebut akan menghasilkan kunci publik untuk proses enkripsi pesan, dan kunci privat untuk proses dekripsi pesan.  Proses enkripsi menghasilkan ciphertext dan proses dekripsi menghasilkan plaintext.  Pengujian brute force menghasilkan bahwa dengan panjang kunci sebesar 24 bit, maka waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk menemukan kunci privat sebanyak 16.777.216 adalah selama 16,77 detik/106 percobaan. Berdasarkan pengujian tersebut, peluang untuk menemukan kunci privat yang tepat membutuhkan waktu yang lama, sehingga kebocoran pesan pada aplikasi e – complaint dapat dicegah dengan baik. AbstractA grievance is a complaint that arises because of the emergence of the company's products or services. ISB Atma Luhur is inseparable from complaints about campus facilities and the performance of lecturers and employees. Because complaints can be company problems, so must be correct. Most students choose not to report their grievances, especially regarding lecturers and employees, for fear of leaks in the complaints submitted. However, it can decrease academic grades and poor service when taking care of lecture administration. This study proposes the application of cryptography, which converts messages into code, so the actual message is not known. The use of cryptographic techniques with the RSA algorithm is used as a solution to prevent message leakage. The choice of RSA as a cryptographic algorithm is due to the difficulty of factoring prime numbers in key generation. This factoring will generate a public key for the message encryption process and a private key for the message decryption process. The encryption process produces ciphertext, and the decryption process produces plaintext. Brute force testing results that with a key length of 24 bits, the time required to find the private key of 16,777,216 is 16.77 seconds/106 attempts. Based on these tests, the opportunity to find the right private key in a long time so that there is no message on the e-complaint application can result in good.

Abstract

Permasalahan dalam pendidikan yaitu rendahnya mutu pendidikan pada semua jenjang dan satuan pendidikan. Hal yang dapat dilakukan untuk menangani permasalahan ini adalah dengan melakukan manajemen pendidikan pada sekolah. Salah satunya di SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak sudah melakukan manajemen melalui kegiatan sekolah yang fokus pada kompetensi keterampilan siswa. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara yang telah dilakukan bahwa pihak sekolah mengatakan manajemen pendidikan sangat diperlukan untuk setiap sekolah guna untuk meningkatkan kualitas sekolah secara umum, penting bagi kepala sekolah untuk mendorong transparansi dan membangun hubungan saling percaya dengan guru. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kualitas manajemen pendidikan di SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif Deskriptif, berdasarkan hasil kesimpulan bahwa strategi yang dilakukan SMA Muhammdiyah 1 Pontianak untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan adalah: Mahasiswa - Akademik, 3) Meningkatkan prasarana lembaga pendidikan melalui: a) standar pendidikan minimal S1, b) pembagian program dan penugasan yang jelas, c) prasarana yang memadai, d) lingkungan yang mendukung proses pembelajaran, e) yayasan dan dukungan masyarakat. Hambatan yang ada saat ini mencakup jumlah siswa yang besar dan kurangnya kesempatan pembelajaran berbasis teknologi di kelas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of social media effectiveness used by the Pangkalpinang City Tourism Office as an information medium in increasing tourist visit interest. The background of this research is based on the growing importance of social media as an interactive, informative, and wide-reaching communication and tourism promotion tool. The research method employed is a quantitative approach, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to tourists and social media users who follow the official accounts of the Pangkalpinang City Tourism Office. The findings indicate that the effectiveness of social media usage has a positive and significant influence on increasing tourist visit interest. The regression coefficient value shows that an improvement in social media effectiveness contributes to an increase in visit interest by 0.524. Furthermore, the Adjusted R-Square test result reveals that the effectiveness of social media explains 64.3% of the variation in tourist visit interest, while the remaining 35.7% is influenced by other factors outside the research model. Therefore, it can be concluded that the more effectively social media is utilized as an information and promotional medium, the higher the level of tourist interest in visiting tourism destinations in Pangkalpinang City.
